Chapter 38 Blaze’s merciless killing

Alma grew restless with every passing minute. She paced around her room, chewing the insides of her cheeks, trying to think of how to persuade Blaze to kill the rogues. Even after considerable thought, she couldn't come up with an idea. She thought of meeting Virgil. She sneaked out of the pack while everyone was busy tending to the injured warriors.

Alma arrived at the council office a few minutes later and went straight to Virgil's desk. She found him doing some paperwork. She bowed to him, showing her respect.

"I was expecting you," Virgil smirked, motioning for her to take a seat.

"I hope you know how the war went," Alma said as she sat down across from him. "Blaze has imprisoned some rogues. He’ll kill me if the rogues reveal that I’m a spy. I’ll disclose everything if he tries to kill me."
