My Life in the Monsterverse (Dropped/Moved to New Book)

David Griffin is a man who just turned 22. He loves his family, but he is pressured by them all the time to do his best. He knows that they care for him, but when he tries to talk to them about how he feels about things, anything, he usually is told to just push through it, to man up, or something similar. He feels trapped because he wants to accomplish something that will make them proud, but whenever he tries to he ends up failing at it. Everyone around him says he's trying too hard, and is only hurting himself, but he just keeps pushing himself. He's also the oldest of siblings, so he has to be the example for them, so even when he's hurting he just puts on a smile and just pushes on. Well, problems start to happen with his mind, and he isn't able to cope with it and he starts breaking down, and he doesn't want his family to see him in that way, so he starts to drift away. Finally, one evening, he goes over to his family's home since his sister is bringing over a boyfriend. During the time there, the boyfriend starts joking around with the family, but for some reason, starts nitpicking at David about how even though his sister is younger than him, she has had more success than him. Well, this was the straw that broke the camels back. David blows up at his sisters boyfriend, and in the process ends up splitting them up. He feels bad already since he knows how much she loved him, and with everything swirling around his head at lightspeed of not being good enough, these next words from his family ends up driving a stake through his heart. "I'm embarrassed and tired of being related to you, I can't believe what you just did to me," his sister says, and the rest of his family is in agreement. Not being able to handle anymore, just gets up and leaves with tears not coming out because he's holding it in, and not being able to say anything with the feeling of shards of glass in his throat, drives off and tries to get home. On the way there, he finally can't hold it in anymore and starts crying on the way home. Unfortunately, with tears making it hard to see while driving, doesn't see that there was a car off to the side of him, the driver drunk. It's too late to swerve, and the drunk hits him head on in a T-bone. David died instantly, not able to process he died, and in hysterics from earlier that night, doesn't notice God sitting in front of him, with a sad look on His face. God walks over to him, hugs him and just lets David cry it out. After hours of crying, David finally is able to take in what is happening to him and looks around.

Warning the King

With Kon and Junko running towards Godzilla's home, they were passing by a lot of areas with many titans looking at them. Although there were many that were about to do something to them, Kon sent a couple of bombs of energy their way and deterred them from doing much else.

The problem however, came to be when they were getting closer to the home. They noticed scorch marks and indents in the ground from fighting. Kon looking at that, started to panic and started running faster towards the home. Junko also getting ready started preparing magic spells.

They finally got to a clearing where they saw Godzilla fighting, however, instead of the worst case, it was just Godzilla fighting against a Muto Prime. And with Godzilla fighting, he had cuts and bruises, but thankfully there were no puncture marks anywhere, just cuts. With Kon coming out into the open, caused both Godzilla and the Muto to turn and look at the one disturbing their fight. Godzilla worse for wear and the Muto with minor injuries. Kon could tell with the slight glance where the fight was heading.

Kon, not wasting time, started preparing the magic that he was going to use on the juiced up Ghidorah, since this would be a good testing site anyway. And with that in place, the magic construct of gears forming and the sound cannon taking shape above Kon. It was only going to take a few moments to get ready, and with Godzilla already knowing a little of what Kon could do, got out of the way as fast as he could. The Muto was not so lucky. With the interruption, the titan charged towards Kon in hopes of taking out the new threat quickly before refocusing on Godzilla.

It never got close.

Kon within those few moments got the sound cannon ready, and with that launched the attack. The Muto had a hole going through the entire body. The sound blast kept going on and on until it hit the other side of the clearing, and then kept going through the forest for another mile.

Kon and Junko looking at the damage, just had blank looks, the sound cannon is still sitting above Kon ready to fire again.

"Imma, imma just put this thing away." Kon said, and with that let the sound cannon fade out.

Junko just looked at the destruction and said, "Now that's a lot of damage," and Kon finding it amusing almost started laughing at the joke from the past. Junko feeling the emotions was confused, and Kon just said, "I'll tell ya later."

She nodded and looked at Godzilla walking up towards them. Angry but still alive. "Why did you interfere?" He asked.

Kon just looked at him in the eyes and said, "We have a bigger problem than you and your fight. Something landed here, and it's something that will do more damage than you can imagine."

Godzilla looking at Kon for lies, saw that he was still staring into his eyes this entire time, and with no reason as to not believe him so far. "Well, why are you telling me this anyway. If you know about the threat, why don't you go take care of it?"

Kon looking at him, just stayed silent for a moment. "....I don't really know if I can take him."

Godzilla looks at him with a disbelieving look, since he just witnessed him take out the Muto that was causing him so many problems just moments before like it was nothing. "What makes this foe so strong that you don't even know if you can take them on?"

And with that, Kon just looked down and said, "I don't know if I can kill it. Maybe if I keep hitting it quick but I just don't really know what's going to happen. It's....changed from what I know, and that is why I am here to warn you."

Also when Godzilla asked that, Kon really started to question why he was unsure of fighting Ghidorah, and just realized that he's scared. Scared of not knowing what will happen, and scared of dying again, and losing Junko in the process. He knows Iroh will be okay, but the problem is that since they can't get back to the Observatory with Iroh, that Junko will be hurt. He can already tell that no matter what Junko won't leave Kon alone to fight, so he is trying to work around that.

And with that, he feels Junko petting his head. He didn't realize that his emotions were pouring through to her, and that made her happy but also a little upset that he is trying to do it on his own again. She however has figured out how to hide those emotions from reaching Kon, how though the world may never know.

Well, with that perspective now in Kon's mind, he is trying hard to figure out a plan. One where they can all survive, but he keeps getting stuck with trying to compare the plan to the old Ghidorah, where in the end, Godzilla just burnt away Ghidorah faster than he can heal.

But before he could get too far into his thoughts, he heard a flapping sound coming closer. Hearing this he readied his sound cannon magic again and turned faster than Godzilla could register and Junko holding on for dear life since she was sitting on his head. He aimed the sound cannon up at the sound, and was about to fire when he realized that it wasn't Ghidorah, but Mothra.

She was flying above watching the fight with the Muto, and was about to enter the fight when she saw Kon coming, and with that watched what had happened. And realizing that he wasn't fighting the King of the Monsters, started to fly down. What she didn't expect was for him to react violently with her coming down.

"Wait wait! I don't mean any harm!" Mothra yelled at Kon. Kon stopped the firing and aimed the cannon farther up so that he didn't hit her and show that he wasn't going to hit her.

"Why did you do that?" Godzilla started growling at Kon with that.

"Because I thought the thing was here. I forgot to mention that it could fly, didn't I?" Kon looked at Junko for that answer, and she nodded with her hair out of place. A little miffed about the hair, Kon promised to let her cuddle the small fox form later, and she was happy again, and with her hair seemingly put back into place.

Kon just looked at her with a blank look and stared.

Mothra finally landing close by, looked at Kon and Junko. She was trying to figure out what the creature is in front of her was, as she has never seen one of his kind before. And Godzilla just didn't care as long as Kon didn't do anything that disrupted what was his. Mothra just found the chance and decided to introduce herself.

"My name is Mothra, it's nice to meet you and not with that...whatever hitting me. And I see you already know Godzilla." She says. "What is your name, and the one sitting on top of your head?"

"My name is Kon, and this one, her name is Junko." Kon said with a smile, proud of having someone like her by her side. Mothra kept watching and seeing how he reacted to her questions.

"Well, nice to meet you Kon and Junko. Can I ask why you are here?"

And with that, Kon had to reexplain everything. At the end of it, Mothra was visibly concerned. With this new foe and the information given, Mothra was trying herself to figure out a plan. With the time being of the essence here, both Mothra and Kon started to give ideas, and Junko also voicing ideas and Kon translating for her since they couldn't understand her. With the ideas bouncing around, they started to get a plan forming.
