My Life in the Monsterverse (Dropped/Moved to New Book)

David Griffin is a man who just turned 22. He loves his family, but he is pressured by them all the time to do his best. He knows that they care for him, but when he tries to talk to them about how he feels about things, anything, he usually is told to just push through it, to man up, or something similar. He feels trapped because he wants to accomplish something that will make them proud, but whenever he tries to he ends up failing at it. Everyone around him says he's trying too hard, and is only hurting himself, but he just keeps pushing himself. He's also the oldest of siblings, so he has to be the example for them, so even when he's hurting he just puts on a smile and just pushes on. Well, problems start to happen with his mind, and he isn't able to cope with it and he starts breaking down, and he doesn't want his family to see him in that way, so he starts to drift away. Finally, one evening, he goes over to his family's home since his sister is bringing over a boyfriend. During the time there, the boyfriend starts joking around with the family, but for some reason, starts nitpicking at David about how even though his sister is younger than him, she has had more success than him. Well, this was the straw that broke the camels back. David blows up at his sisters boyfriend, and in the process ends up splitting them up. He feels bad already since he knows how much she loved him, and with everything swirling around his head at lightspeed of not being good enough, these next words from his family ends up driving a stake through his heart. "I'm embarrassed and tired of being related to you, I can't believe what you just did to me," his sister says, and the rest of his family is in agreement. Not being able to handle anymore, just gets up and leaves with tears not coming out because he's holding it in, and not being able to say anything with the feeling of shards of glass in his throat, drives off and tries to get home. On the way there, he finally can't hold it in anymore and starts crying on the way home. Unfortunately, with tears making it hard to see while driving, doesn't see that there was a car off to the side of him, the driver drunk. It's too late to swerve, and the drunk hits him head on in a T-bone. David died instantly, not able to process he died, and in hysterics from earlier that night, doesn't notice God sitting in front of him, with a sad look on His face. God walks over to him, hugs him and just lets David cry it out. After hours of crying, David finally is able to take in what is happening to him and looks around.

Kon jumped through the portal back to their home. Since Iroh couldn't bring them back, they are stuck there on the ground again. Only this time, they don't know for how long though.

Kon, thinking of anything and everything all at once, started to have his head hurt. He just sat there at the edge of one of the cliffs on the floating Mountains, with Junko not far behind him watching, she decided to sit down next to him.

They are both just thinking of what is happening. Kon's emotions are in chaos, and are reflecting through the connection, and since Junko was already through the portal before she saw Ghidorah, she doesn't know why Kon is freaking out like he is.

"What's wrong, why are you freaking out?" Junko asks in a concerned voice. With Kon taking a few moments to clear his thoughts, starts telling her what's wrong.

"That was Ghidorah, or was supposed to be. He wasn't supposed to there in front of us like that. He was supposed to be all gold, and most of all wasn't supposed to be staring at me directly as soon as he landed." Kon said. "There was also something I encountered in the past that had similar markings, the purple like Ghidorah has now, and that....thing or whatever it was, started changing the world that I knew. So I intervened sooner than I thought I would. I don't remember anything after going to that dimension, only that I woke up in our Dungeon." Kon said.

With the new info, Junko understood more what was going on, and how wrong it is at the same time. With this change, Kon couldn't help but wonder what was going to happen. "The time when I met it, it had made the creatures that came into that world stronger. With that I'm also gonna go out on a limb here and say that Ghidorah is also stronger than they are supposed to, and with him staring me down after landing in front of us, means that he's here for me."

Junko even more upset about having someone trying to take her precious fluffy Kon away from her, well lets just say that the world started to turn red around her. Kon oblivious to it, only noticed that she was angry and sad at the same time, turned to look and see the effects. Scared, he started to sweat, 'How is she doing this, I thought it was something that only happened in the shows. Scary actually seeing it up close.'

Kon, pulling the wisest move of his life, just looked ahead without acknowledging it, sweating and trying not to look at that or else. Junko finally accepting what was happening, stopped with the world changing anger and looked at Kon. "Well, have any idea of what to do?"

"I was thinking that I'll have to figure out some way to seal him. In the past I remember that Godzilla and Mothra, another being we have yet to meet, sealed away Ghidorah in the Antarctic ice and left him there until the humans came back to awaken him. Well, obviously that isn't going to happen now, and with that I'll have to face him, and hopefully we can do this. I don't know how he's been buffed, whether it be through his gravity beams or electricity, but it's going to be something significant regardless. Hopefully whoever or whatever is controlling it didn't think of the resistance or regeneration, cause that's gonna cause more problems, but at this point I'm just praying to whatever God is out there listening to me now."

Junko just grabs Kon's hand and gives it a squeeze, "Hey, if need be, we'll just have to practice for a bit. Right now, if it's looking for you in particular, it's gonna try to follow any lead it has. Any monster can smell have decently, so we have to hurry. We walked the entire distance there, so if the monster has half a brain, they're gonna have to follow the scent by land to make sure they don't miss us."

Kon, since this is the first time something is truly after them, and something unknown at that, started to have thoughts and ideas of what they can do to improve. "Well, there was this idea in the past that I was practicing with. It'll take some time to finish up, but basically it involves moving gears at a rate where the sound will cause the area in front of the 'cannon' to be vaporized. I might be able to do it pretty quickly." Kon said cheerfully, trying to keep their spirits up. "If need be, we could always keep moving, since we placed the Dungeon here on Earth, we can essentially keep moving it all around. Just have to be sneaky sneaky about it."

With that idea that Kon gave out, he jumped up and said, "That's it! We can move. Since this place is just its own area, we can move it somewhere else." 'Reminds me of a certain starfish's quote.' "Anyway, with my ability to move anywhere I've been before for now, I can just keep teleporting us around, throwing Ghidorah off our trail until I know I can get that magic under control."

Junko smiling at the idea and having Kon's spirits come back up, gets up off the ground to and just hugs Kon. Kon excited as he was just hugs back. "Well Kon, if that's the idea let's get to it. We're gonna need some time for you to adjust that magic spell of yours, and I need to practice a bit myself, I won't let you go alone."

"Then it's set. Let's get this place out of here. We can travel around and keep at it until we're ready."

Kon gets up and moves out to the front door with Junko in tow. They get to the Dungeon door outside, and close it and take the core of the door with them and Kon makes a portal back down into Hollow Earth. When they get through, Kon realizes they forgot something. "Crap, I forgot about Godzilla, he's gonna be challenging Ghidorah and with him both younger and Ghidorah stronger than he's supposed to be, he's gonna lose. We got to warn him before he loses, he's important to this world, we can't lose him." And with that, gives the core to Junko and transforms into his true body, and starts running back to the place where Godzilla calls a home. He didn't want to risk teleporting and missing the giant, so they go the long way.

Hopefully they get to Godzilla before Ghidorah does.
