The Truth (2)

For Christian, who had no friends and considered very few things important in his life, his sister and parents undoubtedly occupied the highest positions in his heart. In fact, aside from them, there might not have been anyone else he truly cared about. They were his everything. So now, as he stared at the report before him, the truth laid bare, Christian could feel an overwhelming sense of rage building inside him, consuming every fiber of his being.

He even felt a sense of shame for not having tried to uncover the truth earlier, despite knowing how powerless he had been.

The coldness in his eyes was unmistakable, a stark reflection of the turmoil brewing within him.
