The demon looked at me as though it were wondering the funniest way to kill me, I ran towards it, moved left and right in rapid succession to make my movements unpredictable, I jumped up hoping to assume another clean cut on the head but as soon as my sword touched its body, it shattered and it was at that moment I knew I messed up.

The demon used its winged arm to throw me against a tree, the pain made me grit my teeth and if that was not enough, it started spitting flames at my body,'This can't get any worse' I said to myself before I recieved a notification.

"Finally, something useful" I shouted, this time out of joy and not of frustration and as if lady luck was smiling at me, the demons' flame barrage seemed to have stopped, 'I guess it can't keep it up for long' I thought as I sluggishly stood up ignoring the forest fire behind me, it was my turn to attack.

I lunched towards it and activated my new skill

My finger nails extended and became claws releasing four lines of pure energy that managed to cut the skin of the demon he was facing, at the sight of its own blood it screeched and built up fire in its mouth ready to finish what it had started but because of Demon Gaze I had seen the attack coming and dodged before it hit thin air, I continued my assault, using Devils' Claw three more times and at the fourth time of using the skill in total, I felt weak enough to pass out but pushed myself through, I ran with all my might towards the demon jumped in the air and used all my strength to punch it, destroying most of its body, I was confused until I saw a series of notifications.

I found a piece of the broken sword and was about to use it to end the demons' life when I recieved a notification.

Fueled by curiosity, I accepted the contract and immediately the demon turned into energy and entered my body, I immediately felt nourished and vitalized but almost lost my footing when I recieved another notification.
