Shigure was wounded, he could clearly see that, her pink kimono got scratches and her skin was also bleeding due to the little wounds that were visible from all over her body.

He couldn't help but wonder what kind of enemy she was fighting, and he immediately got his answer as he saw a Devil that looked like a sword abomination, if he were to describe it. It would be like a creature that looked exactly like a sword but with limbs.

As weird as it sounds, it has limbs!

It's why he thought of it as an abomination, it's simply unnatural, there's no way natural evolution could make such a weird creature.

Hiru realized that this Devil was already wounded, thanks to Shigure attacking it, honestly compared to the Eggplant Devil. This thing is another whole level he could tell, not just its size but also there's a distinct aura about that if he faced this Devil head-on there's no doubt that he would be eliminated immediately.

There's no 'but' about it, he's just plain weak, if he has the delivery system immunity he might try facing it as he wouldn't risk dying, or at least not immediately.

In his mind, logically running was the best solution here, as it's simply an enemy that he couldn't defeat as he is weak, there's no shame admitting it as it's simply the fact.

But…he probably doesn't need to run as this woman who is laying on his body could probably defeat this Devil.

Although…

"When are you going to move anyway from my body?" Hiru said stoically as possible, as right now he was having a hard time controlling his hormones.

After all, he got a first-class view of Shigure's world-class breasts.

It's the biggest he has ever seen in this life, to think it's possible for women to grow this big?

'Damn girl, what have you been eating?' He thought.

Shigure eyes widened for a moment before. "Oh…I-"

Her words were cut off as she felt that the enemy swords (?) fired in their direction, quickly Shirou grabbed his collar and carried him to dodge the incoming projectiles.

It was so fast that he could barely see anything, in his eyesight he could only see blurry images as his human eyes couldn't comprehend the seer speed that Shigure was moving!

At this point, it's safe to say, was she even human? It's physically impossible to do this, it's simply inhuman!

Quickly Hiru shook his head, and thought. 'I shouldn't be awe-struck by something like this, because in the future I would be able to meet characters that could destroy the universe itself by their flick, either in the near future I should be able to do similar feats, but for now I'm just a nobody.'

Now that his vision returned to normal, he wasn't in the streets anymore but at the rooftop of a 3 story building.

Then, his ass fell into the roof as Shigure stopped carrying him, before she did anything she stared at him and opened her mouth. "You…stay…here…"

Before he could reply, Shigure already leaped away from the rooftop, continuing her onslaught upon the newly dubbed 'Sword Devil'.

"Damn that woman, leaving me all alone here….how am I supposed to go down..?" Hiru looked down from the roof looking for something to use to climb down and luckily there was.

There was a ladder that led directly into the ground, he had no idea who had made this obvious design flaw in a building like this as this would likely invite thieves to steal what's inside the building.

However, he wasn't complaining as this turned out to be convenient to him, he wasn't going to wait for Shigure to finish her fight with that Devil!

And he wasn't even going to ask the reason why she was fighting that Devil, it wasn't his business, it's just bad luck on his part, either way this wouldn't stop him from going to his part-time job!

It's his first day after all, it would leave a bad record from his résumé if he isn't there to show up, simply being attacked by the devil wasn't an excuse, if this was in his previous world it might.

But in this world where Devils lurk everyday, the devil's excuse won't work here. This world simply adapted and so he did. Honestly at first he couldn't understand why in manga the people managed to act normal, but after living in this world for a decade he began to have an understanding.

Worrying about whenever a devil were to attack you wouldn't do anything good, so you have to suck it up and be ready to move on.

This world is crazy, but perhaps it's exactly what it is indeed for survival.

As soon as his feet touched the ground, the first thing he did was look for his scooter. He prayed to whatever deities in the world that hopefully his scooter wouldn't be destroyed or broken.

Because he just bought it!

And he doesn't have any money to buy another, and thank whatever deity that answered his prayer earlier, his scooter was completely fine, although there's multiple scratches from there and here, it was enough.

It's like his scooter got a bigger plot armor than him, who was the main character of his own life.

Either, he had to get out of this place because he didn't want to meet the exact situation as before.

With that, he turned on his scooter and drove out of the warzone, he gonna get the fuck outta here.

"Ah…he…left…" Shigure went back to the rooftop where she left that person as soon as she finished fighting the Sword Devil.

Right now she was quite in a pouty mood, as today she failed to do things, first she failed to kill the Sword Devil even though she was so close to killing it.

Second, what she was trying to protect was nowhere to be seen. Honestly, she was a bit worried about what happened to that man. She saved him, therefore it's her responsibility to keep him safe.

And right now, the person she wanted to protect was gone, even though she told him not to leave…

Shigure was no doubt in a bad mood, and after a moment of thinking, she decided to look for the man she protected from the Devil to see if he's safe or not.

As she felt a bit responsible for what happened before, it was technically her fault that he got involved in her business, if only she fought in someplace where there weren't any people…

Regardless of what she thinks, it already happened either way.

Before taking action, she thought. 'Now that I think about it, isn't he the only person I have communicated with aside from the old man and masters from Ryouzanpaku?'

With that she left to find the person that she was supposed to protect.

Hiru wasn't late to his first day of work, thank you for small mercies, however it wasn't later he realized how annoying being a part-time delivery man could be.

To be fair his very first customer in this world wasn't the nicest person, it was a middle aged fat lady that he's sure that she got the last stage of diabetes.

Not only her body is ugly, her personality matches it, what a perfect combo. Her reason for complaint was that he was late, which he wasn't, as there's no such thing listed which time he arrives. The receipt clearly stated that the order would be delivered today and not this time or hour.

Although he reasoned perfectly, the bitch of a customer wasn't having it, he really wanted to lift the cardboard box and slam it into the ladies face, but he didn't, however he was close to doing that act.

Because he couldn't care less about the job, he wouldn't willingly lower himself just to apologize to a mistake that he wasn't at fault, he had his dignity and there's no chance that he would willingly gravel like a dog.

Before he could do something that he surely wouldn't regret, the building landlord managed to calm the obese woman and Hiru got what he should have gotten earlier if it wasn't for this old ugly bitch being a Karen.

Thankfully though his second delivery was much more understanding and nice, compared to the first one, at least this person didn't bitch around wasting his time.

6 deliveries in 2 hours, it would have been more if that fat woman wasn't bitching, either way his delivery service went smoothly, turns out his first customer was an exception, the people he delivered were decent people.

Honestly he doesn't know what to do if his second delivery was similar to the first one, as rash as it is, he wouldn't hesitate to quit.

Unlike before, he wasn't desperate for this job, because he got an alternative source of income now that the system came into play.

And even if he didn't use the system, he could still get some income without having a part-time job.

If you ask how? Simple plagiarized the novels he read in his previous life, while he might not be able to recall all of its plot completely, he could still make a parody version of it that is as good as the original.

The reason why he hasn't tried writing until now is because he wasn't desperate, and another thing, just because the story is a success from his previous world it doesn't mean it would be the same here.

Luck is also a big factor when it comes to novel popularity, honestly he remembered reading those fan-fiction from his previous life where their main character would start drawing manga or writing a novel that they plagiarized from earth.

And it becomes popular for no reason, it's simply unnatural, the math isn't mathing.

Just because it's the same story, same plot, it doesn't mean that it would be guaranteed to be popular.

Anyhow, he should go at his last delivery for today and he never expected to meet another character that wasn't part of the original Chainsaw series.
