My Delivery System

A/N: Hello, this is part of the reason why I discontinued [ My Unconditionally Delivery System ] Is because I wanted to re:write it because frankly, that story had a lot of plot holes than my roof.

You'd noticed that this would be a bit different than the last, but the system is mostly going to be the same as I don't want to complicate things.

Now, as for this world background it's different from my previous fanfic because world format is going to be chainsaw man which is in 90's

"What…?" He blinked in confusion when he saw that he was in an unfamiliar house, his eyes wandered around the place and noticed that a lot of things seemed to be bigger than they usually are.

The table is at least a foot taller than him, the chair is about a head, and it only made him confused even more, then when he stared at his two own hands.

He couldn't stop himself from gaping at the sight, his hands were smaller than he used to remember. "What is this..?!"

He didn't remember his hands to be this small, he was an adult, not a child and if this wasn't a dream then it could only mean one of the two things in his mind.

First he went back to his childhood, which is time travel, or he reincarnated.

His bet was the latter, as time travel doesn't fit, after all this wasn't his family house, as he had been living there for as long as he could remember, so no this definitely isn't his house.

However, as for the reincarnation part, he didn't really remember dying…or he just can't remember for some reason, he tried to focus his memories, aside from his apparent death he could remember almost everything.

This was certainly a strange situation he got himself in, honestly he wondered why he felt calm despite this utterly ridiculous situation he found himself in.

So he found out that he's biologically 5 years old with this body, and apparently he's a japanese.

Good news is that he could understand Japanese fluently, which wasn't previously possible. While he may have watched plenty of anime, his understanding of Japanese is nowhere close to this one.

It's like he merged with the original kid's body, although he didn't receive this child's memories which wasn't too much of a problem anyway.

Anyway, after investigating the house he realized that it was bigger than an average japanese house, and it wasn't an apartment.

Everyone knows those who own land in a city in Japan are financially stable, so it's safe to assume that his family is doing quite well, making him feel relieved, while he doesn't mind being poor. It's simply inconvenient in this situation, because he wouldn't have the resources to know this world better.

At the very least he could confirm that this world is very similar to his own, which was a good thing because being on an entirely different planet isn't something he'd be comfortable with.

And another thing, he saw the calendar was 1984, now this is a bit of a problem, for someone who was born in the 2000's in his previous life, being reincarnated in the 80's is a bit alien to him.

He was sure that the coming years would be absolutely boring, no laptop, no touchscreen, no computer and definitely no internet at the time.

This is torture!

If he had a choice he'd like to reincarnate in a world which has technology similar to 2010, at the very least, but he didn't have a choice as he got reincarnated here without knowing why.

He finally met his parents and meeting them wasn't as shocking as meeting his sister, who was a year younger than him.

Asa Mikata.

A name that he was very familiar with, and he thought. 'Oh fuck, I'm in Chainsaw Man aren't I?'

That's how he found out that his little sister was apparently Asa Mikata who is the second protagonist of the series chainsaw man.

'I'm doomed.'

He knew that he was, because of his sister's infamous luck.

It's been 12 years since he started living in this world, and he could confidently say that this world is a massive clusterfuck, he wasn't even going to censor it.

Devils are everywhere, and anyone could die anytime of the day, it honestly makes me wonder how the fuck did this world even survive with never ending devils around.

He tried to prevent the death of his parents, however he couldn't, it was like it was destined to happen making him and Asa an orphan.

Unlike him who was more understanding of the situation, his sister Asa wasn't as she cried all night when their parents died.

Luckily though, unlike the original story Asa wasn't sent to the orphanage, due to the fact that their parents got insurance.

After that, they rented a decent sized apartment and started living there. He became his sister's guardian of sorts, since he's the eldest in both biologically and mentally.

And right now, he was on his way for a part-time job interview, since the insurance money that he received from their parents was almost gone, that's why he needed to have this job.

However, it wasn't like he's desperate for this job or anything, he and his sister could still last a few months with the leftover money, but it's better to be safe than sorry.

The interview went really well and now he got the job. If anyone is wondering what job he took, it was a delivery-guy, while it wasn't anything grand. It was enough to feed both of them.

On his way home, he stared at his I.D. It had his name written on it.

Mikata Hiru.

His parents weren't really creative with names, that's why he was named Hiru (Noon) and his younger sister Asa (Morning).

Now that he mentioned that, his sister also inherited their parents naming sense, since she literally named The War Devil. Yoru (Night). Technically.

 Looking at the orange sky, Hiru said. "It's almost 1997 huh…the Chainsaw Man plot is about to begin."

Ever since reincarnating in this world, he was keeping note about the future plot in his personal diary so that he wouldn't forget anything about it.

Inside his diary contained everything he remembered about the plot, he kept it hidden in his apartment cabinet, even if it was found and read by someone, they wouldn't be able to understand it anyway.

Because he didn't use japanese letters to write his diary, instead it was mixed between bisaya and tagalog which by the way didn't exist in this world.

The Philippines was completely wiped out of the planet, because of a certain devil and that's why he is confident that no one would be able to understand the language.

While he was peacefully leaning at his scooter, without a warning a massive headache appeared in his head.

Hiru couldn't stop himself from touching his head. "Ouch, what the heck…?"

The headache disappeared as soon as it appeared, and something appeared in front of his face.

[ Congratulations, you have been selected as the host of Delivery System. ]

'What..?' Hiru was stunned as he stared at the floating screen in front of him, he double checked to see if it was just a hallucination or not.

"A system…" Hiru muttered in disbelief, never in his imagination would he receive some sort of perk upon reincarnating in this world, all this time he thought he would remain a background character in this clusterfuck of a world.

But it seems that fate has different plans for him, then a smile appeared on his face.

"Heh, I seem to hit the jackpot eh?" He couldn't contain his excitement, now with this things are bound to change in this world whether he is aware of it or not.

Now, he's going to ask what this system could do, from its title alone he had a rough guess of its purpose.

"Hey, are you a sentient being or just some AI whose answers are pre-recorded?" Hiru asked the system.

[ Fortunately, 'I' am a sentient being, therefore I am capable of thoughts, not to mention I do not speak in third person. ]

'A girl..?' Her voice kind of reminds him of a loli.

"Oh, so you're a person?"

[ Yes, indeed I am, so do you have any questions regarding the delivery system? ]

"I do…I'd like to know why I was selected as the host of this system?" Hiru asked curiously.

[ Well, to answer that question is a bit complicated, there's a few conditions and you met all of them that's why, you got selected. ] 

"I see, another question: am I the only one with this system? Or are there others like me?" Hiru wasn't arrogant enough to think that he's unique.

[ There are others like you, but unfortunately you won't be able to meet them, as they are a few multiverse away from your own multiverse. ]

"Right, so how does this system function?" Hiru went straight to the point.

He could hear the girl behind the system chuckling and replied.

[ I like you, straight forward. Very well, listen because I'm going to say this just once, this is the purpose of the delivery system. ]

And so the girl behind the system started explaining how the functions of the delivery system work.

A/N: As you can see, this is connected to my last story if you read it. Kyle is from another branch of the multiverse.

Each Delivery System is a bit different from each other, but it's main purpose is to deliver.
