My Daemon System

In a mystical realm where humans are blessed with a unique connection to their inner selves, a wondrous fantasy world exists. Every individual is born with a Daemon, a magnificent creature believed to be the embodiment of their very soul. As they reach the age of maturity, the Daemon settles into a specific form, granting its human host a remarkable ability. However, amidst this extraordinary reality, there exists a young boy named Jacob who has faced a fate different from his peers. From the day of his birth, he was marked as different, for he was born without a Daemon. This peculiarity made him the target of relentless bullying and scorn from those who couldn't understand his absence. Enduring the constant torment, Jacob harbored a hidden strength, an indomitable spirit that refused to be crushed by the weight of his loneliness. One fateful day, as he found himself cornered once again by his tormentors, a wave of determination surged within him. No longer willing to be a victim, he unleashed an extraordinary ability, a power that surged through his veins. To his astonishment, he discovered that he possessed a system—a mysterious force guiding him through the trials and tribulations of his world. It presented him with quests, and challenges that tested his courage, resilience, and wit. Each quest completed bestowed upon him new skills and abilities, transforming him into a formidable force to be reckoned with. Jacob's journey took him across vast and enchanting landscapes, where he encountered strange creatures, forged unlikely alliances, and unraveled the secrets of his world. With every quest conquered, he grew stronger, both in body and in spirit, shedding the weight of his past suffering. Yet, as his powers expanded and his reputation grew, the system presented him with a quest that filled him with doubt and trepidation. "It is time for war". ----------------------------- Please guys check out my other book MMORPG: Virtual Rebirth. I promise you will love it.

Chapter 40 Hazim

Jacob and his friends joined the battle and they refused to be defeated.  They fought alongside their fellow students and instructors, using the weapons they had acquired to gain an upper hand against the undead horde.

As the battle raged on, the three friends, Jacob, Adam, and Ray, each wielding their unique weapons, became the heartbeat of the resistance against the vampire horde. Jacob, with his long sword, moved with grace and precision, expertly parrying the vampires' attacks and striking back with deadly force.

Ray on the other hand, brandished his pistol, firing silver bullets with unerring accuracy, each shot finding its mark and sizzling through the vampire's flesh.

Adam armed with his tiny booms, threw them with uncanny accuracy, sending vampires flying in all directions.

Their combined efforts bolstered the courage of the other students, who were fighting bravely, refusing to back down despite the overwhelming odds. The schoolyard was filled with the clang of swords, the sharp cracks of gunfire, and the resounding explosions of Adam's booms.

Blood and sweat mixed in the air, and the walls echoed with the screams of both vampires and humans.

In the midst of the chaos, Jacob and Adam were unexpectedly thrown into a nearby classroom by a powerful vampire. The impact sent them sprawling against the wall, groaning in pain.

As they slowly got to their feet, they noticed a glint of light from a tiny box nestled amid the debris. Curiosity piqued, Jacob picked it up, and they both examined its intricate engravings.

"I wonder what's inside," Adam said, his eyes narrowing.

"We don't have time to find out now," Jacob replied, slipping the box into his pocket. "Let's get back to the fight."

"Wait, something is telling me that we should open the box and see what is inside. Think about it, why was it hidden in a wall?" Adam tried to convince Jacob.

Jacob thought for a moment before putting Adam's words into consideration. "Ok then! If you say so," Jacob said before bringing out the box and handed it over to Adam.

Jacob handed it over to Adam and he opened the box. Inside it, there was a note just by its appearance one could tell that it must have been about a 1000 years ago, and on it something was written in a wired language.

"What can of a language is this?" Jacob asked in confusion.

"This is my family language. It is a language only the Smiths can read and understand, that means whoever wrote this a thousand years ago must be from my family," Adam started.

"Ok then, what does it say?" Jacob asked in a hurried tone.

"calm down, I will read it out," Adam began his narration.

----

- Rahap is a demon of immeasurable power and darkness. a creature born of fear and nightmares, when freed from his prison he will seek to possess a mortal host to unleash his sinister plan upon the world.

My people do not want anyone to write or speak about this monster not at all, but I am a Smith and I'm writing this in a language I believe only one of my kind will understand. in case any of my descendants find this, beware of his strength.

Rahab's twisted desire for domination drove him to seek out the most powerful and worthy vessels to host his demonic essence.

Countless souls had fallen victim to his allure, drawn by promises of forbidden knowledge, eternal life, and unimaginable power. Once ensnared, these vessels became mere puppets, mere shells for the malevolent being to manipulate at will.

With a host at his command, Rahab set out to build an army of bloodsuckers, each infected with his malevolence and different powers of their own depending on their type.

The land became plagued by a growing number of vampire followers, leaving a trail of death and destruction in their wake. The world cowered under Rahab's influence, as his demonic army extended its dominion over the night.

I will list his army and each of their ability.

*The Psychics

Psychic vampires, also known as energy vampires, feed not on blood but on the life force or emotional energy of their victims. They have the ability to drain a person's energy through physical contact, leaving the victim weakened or even unconscious.

*The Elementals

Elemental vampires have an affinity for manipulating and harnessing specific elements of nature.

*The Shadow Vampires:

Shadow vampires have the unique ability to blend seamlessly into darkness and manipulate shadows to their advantage. They can become invisible in dimly lit areas, move through shadows as if they were portals, and even summon tendrils of darkness to ensnare or attack their foes. These are said to be the first of his army.

*The Daywalkers

Daywalkers are a rare breed of vampires with the ability to withstand sunlight, a characteristic usually fatal to most vampires. They can venture outdoors during the day without fear of being harmed or weakened by the sun's rays. These are the last of his army because they have to undergo a ritual.

*The Shapeshifting Vampires:

Shapeshifting vampires can assume different forms, allowing them to camouflage among humans or transform into formidable creatures. They might take the shape of wolves, bats, mist, or even other humans, making them adept at infiltration and escape.

The Empathic

Empathic vampires possess the ability to read the emotions and thoughts of others, making them skilled manipulators and observers. They can influence a person's feelings or emotions, creating a sense of trust or fear to better control their victims.

The Dreamwalkers

Dreamwalkers can enter the dreams of others, manipulating the dream realm to their advantage. They can create lucid nightmares or pleasant illusions to lull their victims into a vulnerable state, making them easier to feed upon or control.

The Technopathic

Technopathic vampires have an innate connection to technology, allowing them to control and manipulate electronic devices, including computers, cameras, and security systems. This ability grants them unparalleled access to information and resources.

-----

Adam turned to Jacob as soon as he finished his narration and they both gave themselves a wired stare.

With a sense of realization, Jacob spoke. "Now things have become clear to me, the vampire I fought the other night was a shadow vampire and the technopathic must be responsible for the camera footage that went missing."

"Dagon! Dagon! I need answers now, I asked you multiple times if Rahap was responsible for the attacks but you said no. You are supposed to be my ancestor but you lied to me," Jacob voiced out in an angry tune.

(I'm sorry, you have to understand put yourself in my shoes, he is my brother and I couldn't betray him I'm supposed to be my brother's keeper) Dagon responded.

As Jacob and Dagon were busy in an argument, Adam saw something written on the back of the paper he was holding and it stated.

Say this word and his host shall present itself, and this is an instruction on how to cage him but for this Dagon, his brother would have to make a decision.

After reading this, and giving it a thought for about three minutes, Adam decided to say the word.

"Hazim!" Adam called out.
