WEEKS LATER...
"Kellan, don't forget your lunch, " reminded his Aunt Lauren as he ran down the steps from his bedroom.
"Am I not too old for this, Aunt Lauren?" complained Kellan. Though he appreciates his aunt preparing lunch for him, he felt it was a bit too much since he's a teenager now and he knew some of the kids in school will tease him endlessly, especially his teammates in soccer.
Lauren raised an eyebrow at him.
"Is that so? You just turned fifteen and now you felt old? Aren't you grateful that I still make lunches for you unlike those parents of your classmates of yours who never even cared for their kids?"
"That's not what I meant, Aunt Lauren..." then hugging her from behind, he added sweetly, "please don't get mad."
Lauren chuckled as she touched his arm.
"When did I ever get mad at you, Hm? Besides, I didn't make this just for you."
Kellan lifted his head from her back and furrowed his eyebrows.
