"Are you suggesting that you still have a bit of softness in your heart for her?"
A second voice suddenly echoed in the empty office.
"Well, sort of."
Jimmy Ward sighed deeply, looking dazed and somewhat helpless as he curled up on the sofa. He removed his badge from his chest and placed it on the coffee table, burying his head in his knees. He was silent for a while before he finally spoke.
"We've been together for a long time, and feelings have developed. If she apologizes to me or confesses, I can spare her and only kill Brian Lewis."
"And now?"
"Now, it's over. Let's kill them all, including that who knows whose bastard son."
"You are finally acting ruthless. If you want to be ruthless, you can't keep being compliant."
Jimmy didn't say a word, just leaned on the sofa, looking at the dark night outside the window, silent in a daze.
"How about the negotiations for the No. 088 arena?"
"They're on, bidding starts in three months, it's a bit early."
"Hmm."
