My Boss Is A Lady

Staring casually into his eyes, the tears she has been holding in her eyes broke loose within the lids of bondage and rolled down her cheeks. It didn't take up to a minute before her eyes turned red. Relative?

Haoran rushes to Ai Mi's apartment, but stops midway and hid behind a house beside Ai Mi's house.

The guy that spoke to him earlier is outside but...

There's another guy!

That makes it two guys!

Is he another ex of Ai Mi? Or is this some kind of setup?

"Your words make me worry, Ai Mi" The New guy says just as Ai Mi turn to walk inside. Hearing his voice made her pause, but she didn't turn back.

"That company isn't yours"

Haoran squints his eyes. Isn't hers?

"Nor is it yours" she says gently. "Don't bother me over something that won't be a benefit to you" she whispers and walked inside, gently closing the door behind her.

The other guy Haoran met earlier turn to new guy in fury, fully upset.

"Whenever she sees you, things gets worse for her! You better back off!"

"Gets worse?" Munchen scoffs "She'd rather die than have you and that old man in her life anyway. So keep your mouth shut and also leave her life. You are of no use to her, no matter how you tried"

"Shut up, Munchen!" Haozi yells and grabs Munchen by the collar.

Being so close that their faces could touch any moment, Munchen scoffs softly and raises his hand to Haozi's cheek, giving him three pats on his cheek.

"We both know that Ai Mi and I have known each other for so long..." Munchen begins

Haoran ears stands erect, hoping to catch the msot important words despite their relative silence.

"Too bad you guys didn't end up together. It would have been a total nightmare" Haozi says, tightening his grip on the collar of Munchen.

"You are just a mere relative to her, Haozi"

Haoran gasp silently. He's related to her? Why did he say he's her ex?

"I am... Her real ex. Someone who knows almost everything about her" Haozi's breathing pace begins to become a bit fast.

"You didn't even knew you were related to her. Not until three years ago, of course" Haozi hands begins to shake uncontrollably, his eyes becoming a bit bulgy.

"Some relative you are"

The furiousness in Haozi finally came out as he aims a punch at Munchen's nose.

But being a fighting person, he dodges and moved backward, releasing himself from the grip of Haozi and staring at him as he fell to the ground.

"I don't have time for this, Haozi" Munchen says and throws a dirty one dollar note to his feet.

"Use it to make an apology letter and send it to your sister, admitting how bad of a person you are"

Haozi shoots at the dollar note and then at Munchen a death glare.

But Munchen just smirked, and left the dirty dollar note and Haozi.

Haozi broke down, knowing when Munchen left.

All what Munchen said is right afterall... He is a fool.

Haoran, in his hiding place draws back. His back on the wall as he heaves a sigh.

A mysterious sigh though.

Haozi is a relative of Ai Mi? Why did he say he's her ex?

Does he like her or something? Or, does he have someone he thinks would be perfect for Ai Mi?

Or...

Is he trying to be protective over Ai Mi?

Haoran closes his eyes and releases a breath of stress. Too many questions all at once.

He slowly went back to his position of staring at Haozi as tears flowed down his eyes staring at the one dollar note.

It does look insulting.

Is the other guy trying to say that a dirty one dollar note will get a clean, expensive apology letter? Or is he insinuating that Haozi has no money even for himself, talk much of getting a clean apology letter?

But where is Ai Mi? Why isn't she doing anything?

Haoran watches Haozi as he picks the one dollar with his left hand, stands straight and walks to a public trash can nearby and tosses it.

He then stares back at Ai Mi's department.

It takes a while before he finally turn to depart fully, this time, no looking back.

Though, Haozi walked slower than expected, but it still felt too fast to Haoran.

Seeing that the atmosphere is too tense to knock on the door of Ai Mi, Haoran turned and left.

When he got to his apartment, he bounced on the couch with his hair slightly entering his eyes. Lazily, he blew the strands of his hair off his eyes and closed them.

What he has seen tonight, has fed him.

Even the cup of tea on the table must have gone cold.

Ai Mi knows him, and he knows her.

Two guy are fighting for her.

One, her relative. The other, her ex.

And they are fighting for the company, GJP.

What must have led to the fight? Why is Ai Mi the aim? Why is she the main target?

And why does her relative sound so serious when he threatened the other guy? Does he hate this guy-

Ahhh! Snap out of it, Haoran! Don't lose it!

Ai Mi and Haozi or whatever his name is, and the other guy have their own problems, and you have yours!

Your problems are much bigger then theirs, so quit it!

Haoran gave himself a light slap and opened his eyes.

Why does he feel like he is entwined in their problems? Making his problems times two of theirs.

Ai Mi watches everything from the window upstairs. Till the last visible step Haozi took before he finally disappeared.

Her expression is as blank as a newly made white paper.

She doesn't shake. No smile, no frown, no anger... Nothing.

"Mhm" she whispers before finally turning away from the window.

Quite a show they placed up there. Who'll think Haozi will want to pull up a fight like that? She thought.

Of course, Haozi fought for her, she still found it as a waste of time.

Not because of pride or anything...

But because when she needed him the most, he wasn't there. And now she's a CEO, he's raising an ugly head.

How disgusting for him to think she'll help him.

Ai Mi changed into her night gown and switched off the light in the room before bouncing on the bed with her back.

She stares up at nowhere in particular for some time before moving to her side.

Will Haoran remember her later on? Will he recognize her?

So many thoughts about Haoran began to well up like boiling water.

Her father should not go too far to snatch this company away from her. If he does, he will regret it.

Ai Mi flashes a mischievous smile.

Few seconds later, her eyes closed loosely as her consciousness slipped away.
