Chapter Three Hundred and Thirty

Sarah POV

To say that am not concerned about George's recent strange behaviour then I will be lying, he said that he has an important client to meet but I asked Rose about this client but she doesn't have any idea about such a client. I checked the newly arrived files to know if I can find such a client but I can't find anything. I tried not to think about what my mind is suggesting to me cause it will not be healthy for me, I want to trust the fact that George will not do anything to hurt me but his recent behaviour is getting me worried as the day goes on by. I need to talk to someone or I might lose it and the only person I can call is my best friend, I called her and invite her to our place.

I was in the kitchen putting the last ingredients in the soup I am making when I heard Ella's voice coming towards the kitchen. Hey baby girl, you look so beautiful in that apron, she complimented and walked to me and engulfed me in a tight hug. Just what I needed at the moment. You will say that I look beautiful even if wearing a rag and I miss you so much, I said to her. But that's true nothing can hide your beauty and you my friend should dish out what you are cooking right now cause am starving, Ella said and sat down at the mini table inside the kitchen. I know it will be a waste of time if I try to engage her in a conversation without feeding her first.

I fed her until am sure she is full, and then we do the dishes and move to the sitting room. Wow, now am ready to talk cause am sure that you did not invite me here, just to feed me, Ella said while rubbing her filled stomach. You are not far from the truth but you are my best friend, so I can still invite you to my place just to feed you, I pointed out to her but she did not say anything to that. She was looking at me silently urging me to go with what I had to say. Well, I called you cause am about to go crazy if I keep this to myself, Ella it's about George I don't understand him this day, I told her. She looked at me like there is something on my face before asking me, is he cheating on you?

I don't Ella, just that he had been acting suspiciously these days, it's almost one week we have lunch together, he always gives the excuse that he is meeting with an important client, I told her. Maybe it's nothing, maybe he is meeting with a client, Ella said not taking what am telling her serious. Ella, I don't think that is the case cause Aunty Rose is not aware of this client and there is no file about this client, I told her. Ella looked at me showing interest in what am saying for the first time. Have you tried following him? She asked me. No, I can't do that, I answered her. Then, relax maybe there is something he is trying to settle and he doesn't want you to be worried about it, Ella said.

Give him some time, am sure he will come back to himself, she told me. I decided to take her advice cause it might turn out that am stressing myself over nothing. I have heard what you said Ella and I will try not to think much about it, I assured her.
