Chapter 15-Tranformation

The Tolu stood with its back to the wall of a building it had just smashed into...That power just now, I don't think it had anything to do with Lizas' rose petals abilities. It felt different, I don't know how I used it but it came to me right before I went for the attack.

"Tch!" That doesn't matter right now. While it did do some serious damage...The Tolu has already healed it, I have to beat it without relying on this unknown ability since I can't use it at will.

"...Huh? What the hell are you doing?"

The Tolu began to pulsate a brighter red, its skin then began to crack and grow in a sort of way. Its wrists seemed to grow bigger with spike-like objects emerging from cracks in said wrist. Same on the shoulders...The whole thing got bigger and its skin grew thicker!

" Guess this means you're taking me seriously." During the fight against Liza and even with Mina...It never really seemed to be concerned about losing. Sure it took damage from both of them but that seemed to only enrage it slightly...Like it was frustrating it got hit at all.

" How pissed will you be...When you get beat by a newbie."

in an instant, the Tolu closed that gap its hand outstretched for my neck. It was faster than before and caught me off guard...I can't dodge this!

It grabbed me by the color of my orange undershirt, picked me up, and slammed me down with tremendous force...If I had been like I was before that would have killed me, but that bearly hurt at all

The Tolu raised its right fist in preparation to bash my head in. As its strike descended I swung my sword severing its striking hand. The Tolu roared out in pain as I landed a kick on its chest launching it away with tremendous force.

It regrew its right hand using it to slide to a stop before slamming back into that same building...That same was meant to kill me...It's not messing around, that was full strength...I can handle this thing at full power.

" I can keep up...I'll kill you right here, to avenge all those you killed." Images of Liza and Xavier flashed through my head as I felt a boiling rage that I had been suppressing reemerge 

The Tolu brought its right fist into the palm of its left hand, seeming to crack its knuckles. I then in one step closed the distinct just like I did, but unlike what the Tolu did to me, I did not catch it off guard.

The Tolu sidestepped causing my slash to miss, jamming my sword into the building. The Tolu saw the opportunity and went for a killing strike immediately. I was able to rip my sword out like butter from the concrete building and block the strike.

It was stronger now, comparing this strike to the previous ones it was much stronger...I can handle it though. I dashed back, the Tolu quickly pursued throwing a flurry of strikes which I dodged and blocked without much trouble.

It threw a right witch I parried throwing a slash of my own. With its new forearm blades, it caught my attack. It forced my blade off leaving me open for a strike. Raising its right leg it landed a strike against my left side, but I had reacted and blocked the strike.

The force was too strong for me to handle and sent me sliding, but I left the exchange unharmed. My body had been enhanced in every way...I'm wrong enough to take these blows and deliver ones of equal if not greater strength.

" I'll kill you! Right here!!"

We again engaged in close combat, I used rose petals to disguise and hide some of my attacks but the Tolu was still quick enough to react even if it took longer to see the attack.

UI swung my sword down straight on top of the Tolu, stepping back it avoided the attack as my sword slammed into the ground, I flipped the sword's edge to face up against the Tolu's face. I conjured up a bunch of rose petals to block the view of my blade.

My blade cut up through the petals but the Tolu predicted the attack and sidestepped it allowing my blade to pass it by harmlessly. The Tolu then awaited my next followup, I conjured more petals around the blade to hide it.

The Tolu raised its left arm to block the incoming attack, but that's what I needed it to do. While my blade was mid-air I let go of it and spun around catching the blade with my left and connecting it against the Tolu's left arm.

The Tolu seemed to notice what I was attempting but It had no counter to it. Its left hand was occupied and I had a lears shot with my right. I swung it full force for the Tolus' face witch was unguarded.

[" Come on.I need that strength again."]

"CRANK!"

I landed the strike, but not enough strength was behind it...This thicker skin was too thick, my punch landed and it was strong enough to get the Tolu to react to it but the armor didn't break.

The Tolu slid back but while stopping itself in an upward motion it swung its right arm up. Its wrist blades that ran up its forearms were heading straight for me! I have no way of dodging as my fist is still extended from the previous strike.

" SHINK!"

The blades connected and cut right through my clothes into my skin, luckily the cut wasn't deep and I could still fight even with this injury.

" Huh. Shit!"

'The Tolu regained its footing and sent a full power kick that connected directly to my blade. I was off balance so the power off the kick sent me flying backward. I bounced off the ground once before rolling to a stop.

I rose to my feet to find the Tolu standing in the same spot it had landed the strike. It stood confidently as if it had landed a killing blow. It began to slowly walk towards me while dropping its thicker skin and retracting its forearm blades.

" Don't act like this is over. That was only one...Gah!"

Suddenly, my throat became dry and bloodshot from my mouth. My body felt weak and my legs began to tremble, the grip on my sword was loosened and all the strength left my body.

["Poison!"]

It had to be. I didn't know how I knew but it made sense. Nothing else would do this...Can Tolus even possess poison, I've never heard of that and Xavier would be the type to mention that if it was a possibility.

I looked at the Tolu as the blood-red color dimmed back to the purple that pulsated through its skin. It was still walking at a slow pace but was getting closer. If it reaches me I'm dead...I need to recover or run

I tried to take a step but immediately collapsed to my knees.

" Dam...!.."

The Tolu closed the gap suddenly, landing a blowy on my chest. Before I went flying away it grabbed me by the inside of the robe I was wearing pulling me back in and placing its left hand on my chest.

"SHINK!"

I felt a sharp pain in my chest, as the Tolus claws emerged from its hand and sank deep into my chest. I opened my mouth to scream but before I could the Tolu began to drag me threw the dirt and concert. reaching a wall it picked me up and dragged me along that as well.

Slamming me back into the ground, it then jumped up into the sky its its claw the only thing holding me to it. Then it cocked its arm back and retracted its claws as it thrust it forwards sending me crashing into a building.

I smashed threw multiple floors of a still-standing building until I reached the grounds...My chest was burning, I brought my hand to the open wounds. I found blood spilling from it, pouring threw my fingers and onto the ground.

I felt light-headed and weak...This thing, even after I was granted the ability to fight is simply too strong...An S.S. rank is in a whole other league...Am I going to die hear? Liza sacrificed herself so I could have a chance to survive. Gave me the ability to fight and I'm going to die like this, this easily?

[" Be better than me."]

I didn't see her say those words but they played through my head like they were her last...I don't even know if she truly said them but it felt like through receiving these powers that's what I've set out to achieve. I don't know in which way she wants me to be better but...

" I-I can't Die like This!!"

I finally had a voice again, blood was leaking from my chest and my mouth...I can't stop though, if I'm going to die then I will be taking this thing with me at the bare minimum.

I stabbed my blade into the ground...This blade was something I made sure to hang onto as it represented Lizas' sacrifice. I will hold it tight always. Using it as a Kane to reach my feet I stood with all my strength

" If I can stand then I can fight!"

Then, a feeling. No. This wasn't a feeling, an emotion. I can't describe it...My body filled with a newfound strength. I felt my wounds all heal, including my chest. My bones stopped aching and the dryness in my throat was gone.

I looked at my arm where a bright red...I don't know. Armor began slowly covering my body. It began on my right side and slowly made its way to the left while also extending down and up. Eventually, my entire body was covered.

An overwhelming power rushed through my body as I stood, it felt like a huge gust of wind blew against my face. My fingers have become more pointed and share[...Like claws.

This newly found strength...I can feel it...I can kill that thing with this...I can see clearer, and I can hear better. I feel lighter, I understand my muscle structure down to the tea.

I don't know what happened, but I know now for sure...I can't kill this thing..For all those who perished to it/ All the lives lost...I will...

" I Will...! Rip You Apart!"
