Selene got into the car, her anger palpable. She immediately regretted meeting with her real family.
Xavier got in and they drove out of the Clark mansion, heading back to their home. The ride was uncomfortably silent.
When they arrived, no one left the car.
"Are you alright?" Xavier asked her, concern laced in his tone as he stared at her. "Did Tracie bother you again?" He added.
Selene sighed, trying to calm her nerves before she replied, "She said father wants us to divorce because of an issue between your father and my father."
Xavier's teeth clenched, his jaws tightening as the veins on his neck popped. Tracie had already caused too much trouble in one night, and he was tempted to silence her permanently.
"Selene…" He placed his palm on her, caressing it ever so gently to ease her.
"Please tell me what happened…." She requested.
