Fighting test
A/N: sorry for the late update, I had an exam last week so I will update more chapter for this week.

right now team 10 is arrived at the battle arena, in the canon story this place is used as the final place for the Chunin exam and this arena is a good place to battle, that's why Kaoru chose this place as his examination place.
"so first before we start I want to ask what kind of weapon you usually or want to use"
"eh?" all of them were confused because Kaoru asked what kind of weapon they use since ninjas usually only use kunai or shuriken.
"hmmm, so you guys are also the idiots that think ninjutsu or genjutsu even kekkei genkai is everything right?"
they only could nod since they really think that ninjutsu,genjutsu, and kekkei genkai is what ninja need the most maybe taijutsu is also good but for a weapon, they never think about it.

"Shikamaru you should try a bow or any long-range weapon since you're smart it'll be an easy thing for you to use them and you could support your Kageshibari just think it when your enemies are trapped within your shadow and suddenly you use a bow to kill them when they only could stand still and hold the kunai"
this time Shikamaru starts to think maybe a bow or something like a bow is a good weapon and that Kaoru is right when he got a good weapon what he needs to do next is to focus on his kekkei genkai, when his Kageshibari no jutsu is strong enough to hold Chunin, Jounin or maybe Kage rank enemies then they are nothing but a punching bag for his bow and his friends.
"for Chouji, you should be a tanker maybe using a gauntlet or big shield, your Baika no Jutsu is good for a heavy striker and heavy tanker, so your duty is to destroy everything in your friend's path so they could deal a fatal attack"
"and for Ino your Shintenshin is very good jutsu but for now you should train to use it without fainting and maybe later you also need to learn a medical Jutsu because I believe you have the capability, and if you want to be a frontline later just tell me and I will teach you how to use short-range or middle-range weapon"

and then Kaoru gives Shikamaru a bow and a shield for Chouji, but for Ino he only gives her a short sword since it's lighter than a normal sword but also has a longer reach than Kunai, actually he wants to give her a rapier but he didn't have it and he also didn't want to show them his tracing power.

after the three try their new toys now they need to face their new teacher Kaoru, and he is now already on the other side ready with his weapon.
Kaoru like to use a spear even when he trains with Chifuyu in the guild arena because it has a longer reach and more fighting style than a sword, he will never say something like a spear is better than a sword or something similar its just that he like spear more than sword.

Kaoru's attack reached Chouji and he got thrown to the wall from Kaoru's attack, they started to think that Kaoru is serious just by looking at how Chouji got done in a second by Kaoru.
Shikamaru takes a retreat and uses his skill with the hope of restraining Kaoru since as long as they have a few seconds then Ino could use her Shintenshin to take over Kaoru's body and they will win
"your shadow is too slow Shikamaru, and they are too eye-catching you should try to make it smaller or faster"
Kaoru evades Shikamaru's shadow but didn't forget to give him a pointer.
"Hyaa!" and suddenly Ino attacked Kaoru from behind.
"Never scream when you try to sneak attack your foe Ino" and he easily parried Ino's attack with the spear
Kaoru remembers right now Ino and Sakura are one of the weakest ninjas in Konoha's 11 even in the Chunin exam they only could throw kunai at each other and do a catfight.
"Ino, your Shintenshin is a strong jutsu not just for crowd control but also as a support so you should explore your skill more" he remembered in the 4th Ninja World War Ino did telepathy and gave instructions to every ninja on the battlefield alone and with Shikamaru as a general then they will be a very dangerous combination in the war.
the three of them might be a ninja but they are still a child and it's easy for Kaoru to fight both of them simultaneously, he keeps evading Shikamaru's shadow while blocking Ino's sword.
their battle or maybe could be called a massacre already going on for a few minutes with Kaoru always evading and blocking both Shikamaru and Ino's attack and he thinks this is already enough for them.
Kaoru immediately make a retreat and took a position.
"as long as you guys could take this move I promise to give you anything as long I could give it"
hearing Kaoru's promises, Ino and Shikamaru turn scared instead because they know this attack from their teacher will be very dangerous.
the technic that Kaoru uses right now is a sure-kill ability that is copied from a certain someone but the main part of this technic is the weapon itself that has the power to reverse the nature of causality.
he actually wants to learn from the weapons creator herself that's why he asks Shirou to find some relic that is associated with her but he still didn't find it.
this technic enables the user to pierce the target's heart no matter how far their distance is or how strong the target's defense is and destroy it from the inside that's why this skill is really strong.
but because Kaoru didn't have the real weapon he can't show the true power of this technic.
the only reason Kaoru could use this technic easily with a normal spear is because of his "the end" and that is also the reason he dare to use it against his students since he could stop or change the trajectory of this technic.
"just a reminder, do your everything to block it since its impossible for you guys to evade it for now"
Kaoru lowered his body and holds the spear with a throwing pose, then the blue chakra appears enveloping the spear.
"Gae-... bolg!" Kaoru throws the spear with all his power which makes Ino and Shikamaru scared because they never see this kind of jutsu.
just by looking at how dense the chakra on the spear that Kaoru held before, both of them feel death approaching them but suddenly.
"Cho Baika no Jutsu!" Chouji that unconscious since the beginning suddenly appears in front of Ino and Shikamaru in a giant form and blocked Kaoru's attack.
"Arghhhhhh! Look sensei I can block it perfectly" Chouji holds the spear with both arms and shows a big smile.
Kaoru knows why Chouji woke up and show that kind of smile but he will give them a surprise because he wants to teach them that their enemies will try their best to kill, and as a ninja killing is a part of their life that's why they need ready to be killed when they lose.
it seems cruel but that's a reality no matter what kind of world those that dare to kill have to be ready to get killed, that's why he hates the spoiled young master the most.
"nice job Chouji, but never let go of your guard even when you're already won since you will never know what kind of surprise your enemy has left"
Kaoru then makes a pulling motion, if Shikamaru is in his best condition then he will know there is something suspicious with Kaoru's movement now.
the spear that Chouji held suddenly lost all its power and pulled back toward Kaoru.
Chouji, whose got complacent because he could block the attack before, now lost his balance and fall over.
when he looks at Kaoru with the same pose as before and the weapon that has a bigger chakra envelops it now, Chouji's face turns ugly and tears appear from his eyes.
Kaoru throws the spear again but with more power and the three of them can't do anything except accept their fate to die at the hand of their own teacher, they even forget that this is just a test from Kaoru.
when they closed their eyes and already accepted their fates, even after waiting for a few second the attack still didn't comes, and when they opened their eyes what they see is Kaoru standing in front of them and with a very kind smile.
"Congratulations! You guys already feel what is death, and I believed you're the real ninja now!"
this time they remember that this is just a test and they feels like a fool especially when looking at Kaoru's innocent smile.
