Boruto and his family stood in front of Konoha's gate, Kawaki and his family soon joined them.

"And where are you going?"

"We're coming with you"

"I'd rather continue training than go with you" Kawaki said grimly

"Hey, I think you're overdoing this training a bit, Kawaki" Boruto said, making Kawaki look at him annoyed.

"I'm training to be able to defeat Code because you didn't kill him when you had the chance and let him escape! Besides, it is unknown how much stronger he has become during this time"

At this point, Himawari joins the group.

"Calm down, it's supposed to be a nice holiday, no arguments!" Himawari said as she activated her Byakugan

While Boruto and the others made their way to the resort, somewhere in some palace there was a hooded figure standing over the body of God Otsutsuki, Yashiki.

"I finally gained Yashiki's power, now it's time to move on with the first stage of my plan" he thought, sticking out his hand and opening a portal into which he jumped

A few hours later...

Boruto and the others reached the resort that was located right on the beach

"Wow this place is amazing" Sumire commented

"Let's go get our rooms"

"But I want to go swimming" Karito interjected

"Later, first we need to get rooms to unpack" Sarada explained

Once each group got their own rooms, everyone left their things and changed into their swimsuits and headed to the beach.

"And where is Kawaki?"

"He said he was going to that hill to continue training" Eida replied with a pout

"Ehh, he's all..."

"Hey, kids, don't get too far away" Xenovia warned

"Come on, Tou-san, join us" Miyuki called

"Okay, okay, I'm going"

Everyone had a great first day at the beach, having fun.

Late that night, Code and Kayiro appeared over the resort

"So this is where they are, it's great, we'll strike at night when they're probably sleeping"

Kayiro created a giant ball of energy, which he threw towards the resort, before the attack reached him and evaporated immediately.

"Code, why did you come back? Haven't I recently shown you the gulf that separates our powers?" asked Boruto who, together with Kawaki, was levitating above the resort

"Oh, this time I won't fight you, he will be your opponent"

"It's..." Kawaki recognized Kayiro

"Did he kill Lord Jigen?"

"That's right, it's still time for him to pay for what he did"

Kayiro began to unleash his power, causing an earthquake, surprising Boruto and Kawaki. The brunette immediately attacked Boruto, who raised his guard to take the hit, Kayiro pushed him towards the sea, at one point Boruto pushed him away with a kick to the stomach, when he wanted to punch Kayiro, he grabbed the blonde's hand and threw him into the air , then in the blink of an eye he appeared next to Boruto and with a punch to the face he sent him towards the forest, hitting and destroying several trees in the process.

"Boruto!"

"Oh no, you're fighting me"

"It's been a long time since I fought someone strong" Boruto stood up, taking off his glasses and activating Karma and Jougan

The mark on his hand developed along his arm and into his eye.
