Expedition

I look at the gloomy sky above my head. There is nothing but grey in the Land of Shadow. Grey Forest, Grey mountain, and even Grey sky. There is nothing to see except a dull world without color.

We arrive in the Land of Shadow after preparing for one day. We are teleported to this land by Lugh magic. However, before he sent us away, he gave us the Legendary weapon even though we already made an alliance with the Celtic Pantheon. He said that the twin spear is the compensation and the alliance is only a bonus.

Of course, I accept the twin spear as it was the living Noble Phantasm, as Medea calls it. The spear is pulsing with life as if it had a mind of its own. When I touch it, I can feel the spear accept me as its master and ready to be used against my enemy.

Anyway, we arrive in front of a massive castle, and I see a woman wearing a tight purple armor while holding a blood-red spear in her hand standing in front of the gate.

"You must be the people Lugh sent to help with this problem."

I walk toward the woman and say.

"That is right. We are from the Vongola Family. My name is Lexian Vongola, the current Lord of the Vongola Family."

"My name is Scáthach, the owner of Dun Scaith castle in front of you and the Gatekeeper of the Land of Shadow."

"Nice to meet you."

"Nice to meet you as well. Now come on, we will discuss the problem we currently have."

However, before we walk inside, I stop Scáthach by saying.

"Before we walk inside, can my people heal the people that are injured in this place?"

"Please do. That is one of the problems we currently have."

I look at Amelia and nod at her. She nods back and leads the healer corp to the people that get injured.

"Lead the way."

We follow Scáthach to her castle, and when we arrive in front of her castle, I order my man to stand outside while my guardian and I follow Scáthach to her castle.

Walk inside what looks like a war room, where I see the map of the Land of Shadow. When my guardian and I arrived inside the war room, Scáthach looked at me before saying.

"I hope Lugh already explains the situation?"

"Yes, he says that there is a monster wave happening inside the Land of Shadow, and there is a new type of monster that becomes stronger the more they absorb divine energy. He also says that the usual monster becomes the prey of the new monster as they contain a wild mana core inside their body so that the new monster can grow stronger."

"If Lugh explains that much to you, then you are a trustworthy person. Yes, what Lugh is saying is correct. However, there is something he didn't tell you. The new monster is not that strong, originally, but they become stronger and stronger after some amount of time as they hunt the older monster to make themselves more powerful. There is also the problem when Manannan mac Lir and Nuada come here to help thin out the monster. However, their presence here makes the monster become more powerful. Right now, the monster has the power of a High ranking being, but there is an Ultimate rank monster in the deeper region of the Land of Shadow."

"I see. So what happens now?"

"The problem of the one that got injured has already been solved as your healer already takes care of it."

"You trust our healer capabilities that much?"

"Heh! The healer of Vongola Family is well known in the supernatural world for their effectiveness and how they can heal the most injured people. Of course, I trust the Vongola Family capabilities as they are already proven from time to time how good they are in healing an injury."

I don't know that our healer is well known throughout the world. I guess that is a good thing.

"So, what do you want to do now?"

"I want to do another expedition to the deeper part of the Land of Shadow. There is an influx of mana in the deeper part of the Land of Shadow, and I want to make sure it was not a threat. However, if it was a threat, I want to eliminate it immediately before it can become stronger than it was right now."

"How many men do you have that can come with us? Right now, I have a hundred people ready to fight and fifty healers ready to heal the people that get injured in this expedition."

"I have two hundred men ready to fight."

"Then, we have three hundred people that can come with us on this expedition."

"Yes. However, we need to leave some of them in the castle if there is another horde of monsters that attack the castle. While I know that the barrier is strong enough to hold back a thousand monsters for a few days, I don't want to take a chance if my calculation is wrong."

"How about Half of them?"

"How strong is your man?"

"They are the ones that we specifically picked for their raw power. If it was raw power alone, they are in the High Class, Mid-Rank being. They can hold their ground just fine."

"Good. That should be enough. Is your man ready to go right now?"

"Yes."

"Then we should finish this as fast as we can. I will call my man and meet you and your man at the east gate in a few minutes."

"Very well."

Scáthach gets up from her chair and walks away from the room where my guardian and I walk outside the castle to call the people we bring. When we arrive, Mordred begins to split the army into two. The one that stays in the castle to defend it and the other that will come with us.

I also ask Amelia to come with us as well. I want a healer on the team when I leave all the healers in the castle. With Amelia and Medea in our expedition team, it should be enough. With Amelia's power and Medea skill in magic, they can heal a hundred people in a few minutes.

My guardian and I wait for Scáthach to arrive. After waiting for five minutes, I see a hundred men come to the gate with Scáthach leading them. They are equipped with armor and weapons like Sword, Spear, Axe, or Bow.

"Let's begin the expedition."
