The Last Smile
The moon shined brightly . Krrr...krrrr....different voices of insects broke the silence of the night . Inside a room, only dimly lighted by a lamp , sat a man, on a table . He wrote something on a paper , which was a little yellow in color. As soon as he stopped writing....the paper was turned into ashes by a yellow fire....
Master!!.....a voice came from outside.
Come In....the man replied.
A man clad in black clothes entered the room...he bowed and said....Master...Madam has locked herself in the room...[he paused]...along with young master.....
Anything else....asked the man behind the table . As he moved a bit ahead....his face was illuminated the lamp....it was, Gao Yang.
Master.....Madam sent one of her maids to her clan with a letter.....
Hmm...must have sent her to inform her father.....You keep an eye...and inform me when your Madam comes out.....
As you wish Master....the man in black then exited...
Houskeeper An.....Gao Yang spoke in loud voice.....Soon an old man entered the room.....
He bowed and said...Master...waiting for Gao Yang to speak.
Have you dealt with that girl??.....Gao Yang asked. The old man...trembled a bit....sweat can be seen on his forehead....Master....that girl...went into hiding.... [he paused] ...but...please be rest assured...we will find that rat soon... [then there was pin drop silence ] ... Housekeeper An had a bewildered look, not able to understand the situation....maybe he thought of a different reaction. He slowly raised his eyes and...Gao Yang was silently looking towards him....housekeeper quickly lowered his gaze again.....
Stop her pursuit....there is no need of this cat and mouse game....Now....it will be an all out war...and destruction of those foolish women....Inform the clan elders and the minor families of the demise of my son and the rest...I would tell in tomorrow's meeting.
The housekeeper bowed and left hastly.....
Few Hours Later...
The sun began to rise from the horizon, casting a reddish hue.. birds chirping....signaling the arrival of dawn.... A carriage stopped outside a large mansion....the guard stationed outside the mansion...probably recognised the carriage . They moved towards the carriage and bowed....from inside came Xiao Xiao...the guards looked surprised...one of them spoke...Xiao !! Madam didn't come this time??
Brother Bao....Madam has sent a letter...where is clan head?? she asked with urgency in her voice. On seeing her worried the guard replied...Master is in the back garden. Xiao Xiao thanked her and rushed towards the back garden . An old man in golden embraided white robes was taking a stroll ."Master... Mas... Master," Xiao Xiao called out, gasping for breath.. The old man stopped and looked towards her .
Xiao Xiao??!!! the old man said with a confused expression. Xiao Xiao stopped in front of him and bowed. She took out a letter and presented it to him. Master....this...this is a letter from Madam [huffing loudly because of running ].
The old man took the letter and put his spiritual power in it...it opened with a golden glow....
After some time....the letter fell from his hand.....Xiao Xiao surprised to see this....she hastily looked at the letter fallen on the ground....the line she could read stated, "Please take care of Xiao Xiao"

Madam.....Madam!!! a maid ,standing outside her room, shouted....no one replied..... She then hesitatingly opened the door .
Aaa....Aaaaahhhhhhh!!!!! she screamed loudly and fell on ground. The other maids and guards gathered.....and they saw.....a lifeless madam hanging from the roof...yet strangely...having a smile on her face....
