"Someone has to be the voice of reason here since she is also a lady and the mother of your son," emphasized Aiden.
"Stop chatting rubbish, the rules of the human world don't apply here, she is nothing but a mere woman. It is the only thing that saves her life, had she been a man she would have been cut down already," replied Maxixe heatedly.
"Based on the reports given by the spies had it ever occurred to you that perhaps the lady herself felt she had no choice-"
"Nonsense," roared Maxixe at the top of his lungs, cutting Aiden off before he could finish his sentence. "Nothing in the world could ever excuse what she did to me. Her explanations are moot at this point. Man, woman, fae or beast no one can escape the wrath of my vengeance until it is repaid in full."
Aiden could also understand from Maxixe's point of view you could not simply do what Kaoma did to him and think that there would be no retaliation.
