A lie: Part 1

Several minutes later, as Stoxius' class was waiting for their teacher to return, the other class, which Vincent was part of, arrived to Stoxius' group.

"What's going here?? And where's your teacher?," a young but matured busty female teacher asked the former group.

"Madam Yumi, Teacher Stoxius went to collect something near Eppicolus' Pond or whatever it's called," a boy named Xi Liam in Jason's class answered.

"Who is Stoxius?? And what do you mean he went to Eppicolus' Pond?!! That site is strictly forbidden!!", she asked in anger.

"I don't know, but Jason went there first and Teacher asked him about it and—," suddenly, a large gush of wind appeared and swept over the kids and everyone present there.

"Ugh!! What's going on!!??," asked one of the kids out loud due to the noisy nature of the wind.

"I don't know!! But it doesn't look good!!", another shouted back.

As everyone was wondered what was causing this wind out of the blue, it immediately stopped as fast as it appeared and suddenly, five Knights dressed in shiny armor appeared in front of the kids.

All the kids stared in awe and silence as they witnessed what just happened.

"OH MY GOD!! THEY'RE IMPERIAL KNIGHTS!!," all the kids shouted in unison, impressed by the glimmering detail of their tough armor.

In Ravenbrook, especially in the city of Pardour, apart from the Emperor, the strongest individuals in the kingdom work under him as Imperial Knights. They are the warriors that protect the city and empire from external and internal attacks launched at the kingdom.

There are five rankings under the Imperial Knights division, which are: Gold, Silver, Platinum, Diamond, and Crown.

Usually, anyone who has completed missions as a Knight prospect ends up as a Platinum ranked official, but higher-ranking candidates are either in the Diamond or Crown category.

The Platinum and Diamond ranked Knights directly responsible for protecting the empire from colossal attacks, and assasinations plotted against the Emperor.

The Crown Knights, on the other hand, are far stronger and powerful than the other Knights, and as such, are said to even lessen the gap between them and the Emperor in terms of Mana abilities and strength.

They are usually involved in commanding the other Knights in battle and combating world-class threats.

As the kids were admiring the knights, a robust man, about six feet tall, brunette hair and a really handsome face, and wearing a golden armor, appeared from the order of knights before them and went towards Yuma, who saluted the man in a subordinate manner and was discussing something with her; she was a teacher and a Platinum ranked knight, but took to teaching young knights-in-training.

"Judging by her behavior and body nature, that guy must be a high-ranking Knight.", Vincent deduced as he appeared beside Jason out of nowhere.

"Sweet Oboros!! Don't just come of the blue like that!!", Jason shouted in fear.

"What?? It's not like nothing unusual did not happened today," Vincent shrugged.

Jason was a bit confused because he didn't understand what Vincent meant by that statement.

He continued. "Anyway, now isn't a good time to be smiling and dancing like headless chickens! If after what I've heard and seen are true, then we are in big trouble!!"

At that moment, a large ball of dark energy flew towards from the direction of Stoxius and was heading straight towards Jason and Vincent!!

"Move!!," the leader of the Knight group yelled and proceeded to unsheath his sword.

"Star Beam Attack!!," he yelled and released a massive ray of light from his sword which clashed with the dark energy ball and destroyed it.

"Woooooowwwww!!!," the kids shouted as they saw that incredible move made by the leader.

"Impressive, Captain Dante!!," Yumi said. "I didn't know you still had it in you."

"Although I appreciate your praises, this isn't over!!," he said and positioned in a battle pose as he waited for the being that appeared before him.
