Chapter Seven

"Young Midoriya! I'm so proud of you!"

I hummed as I was being bear-hugged by All Might. This was awkward, like really awkward.

"I never doubted you! I knew you would figure it out! You're my successor after all!"

Mhm, sure.

I was placed down, allowing me to breathe, and I straightened out my muscle shirt.

"My boy! I was amazed! You left me speechless at the assessment. I was worried at the start but imagine my surprise when you managed to avoid breaking your bones! Tell me, how did you do it?"

I sweatdropped at his enthusiasm and finally, shrugged.

The silance stretched for a moment and finally, All Might coughed in his fist.

"..."

"..."

Staaaaaare...

"A-ah, Young Midoriya?"

I chuckled and looked out into the horizon as my hair was ruffled by the wind.

"I'm just that awesome."

Perfect explanation.

The hulking man's face faulted, sweatdropping at my answer, he searched my expression for a moment, but I paid it no mind as I stared into the setting sun, feeling positively Epic with a capital E.

"Really?"

I snorted.

"No-"

I crouched down and picked up a stick and started drawing in the sand.

"I just circulate One For All around my body constantly at a certain percentage so that I don't break my limbs like an idiot and still get a considerable amount of physical boost."

I drew a human in the sand with arrows outlining its surface going around the whole drawing and thirty percent written next to the whole thing.

All Might blinked at the drawing and deflated, walking closer to the drawing and putting a hand on his skeletal chin, finally speaking up.

"... Genious. I never had a problem with One For All since I was older and more physically gifted at the time, but this is a very effective way to some the problem."

Ah... Did he pick up muttering from me?

"Good job, my boy! I'm immensely proud!"

He slapped my back and I chuckled. The older man looked at the drawing again and pointed at the percentage.

"I'm assuming this is just an example, but worry not, by the time you graduate from U.A. You will have One For All mastered."

Ah, yes...

"Actually, my maximum is thirty-four for now, but I can use fifty in my arms with the risk of being injured, any more than that, my bones will be broken."

The blonde stared, blinked, and bulked up, extending his arms and lunging for me.

One For All flared around me and I dashed away.

"Let me hug you, my boy!"

Get away from me, you zombie bastard!

We would make a weird sight, a bulky man running after a fifteen-year-old at high speeds.

___

"I AM COMING THROUGH THE DOOR LIKE A NORMAL PERSON!"

... You know, having your upper body parallel to the ground isn't normal, but hey, I'm not judging.

It was the next day since what I dubbed, "The Great Chase" and now, It was time for the heroics class.

As my classmates started freaking out about our teacher, which was a mystery because he sucked at teaching, the said man walked in and stood in front of the class.

"Welcome to the most important class of U.A. High! Think of it as Heroing 101! Here you will learn how to act like pros! What it means to fight in the name of justice!"

Man, get to the point already.

"Today, we will pull no punches! The first lesson is Combat Training!"

Ah, right, kicking some kid's asses is the most thrilling waste of my time. I could be using this time to train, exercise, and try to get the other quirks that are available to me with One For All.

But noo, I had to punch a few kid's faces in, what a great use of my finite time. It's not like there is going to be a villain attack in a week, and not like a whole damn city is going to be attacked, right?

Pfft, that's absurd.

Looks like while I was lamenting how much of a waste of time this place was, small compartments extended out of the wall and my classmates were gathering at their designated numbers, and taking the suitcases that were stored inside.

Why were suitcases stored inside the walls? That was a good question.

Unfortunately, I didn't have an answer but I picked up my own suitcase nonetheless and walked out of the classroom, heading toward the changing room.

"Hey, man! Wait up!"

I paused and looked back, noticing the red-haired teen that was trying to catch up to me that was waving a hand in my direction.

I waited for a moment for him to catch up.

"Hey dude. I'm Ejiro Kirishima."

... Who asked?

"Izuku Midoriya..."

He extended a hand and left me with no choice, I shook it.

"Say, man, do you work out? The other day I saw you had well-developed muscles."

Okay, first of all: Gay. Second of all: Why were you looking at my muscles?

"Yes, quite often actually."

The redhead beamed at me, grinning from ear to ear.

"That's so manly! I work out too, want to work out at the gym here together sometime?"

Yeah no.

"We'll see, I'm quite busy, honestly. Training with my quirk takes a lot of time."

It was then he yelled, "So Manly!" that I knew, this guy would be annoying.

Kids these days.
