Chapter 50: U.A Sports Festival 3

After Izuku passed the preliminaries other students came. From Momo who came second shortly after Tokoyami to Todoroki who came fifth.

The audience waited in anticipation. Watching entrance for anymore U.A students who made it out. It didn't took long until all of the U.A students manage to arrive the stadium entrance, all exhuested and injured from the race.

With a gleeful expression, Midnight observes them all. Eager to discover their struggle and resolution once she declares the second round. " Ehem. Well congratulations everyone! Looks all of you made it out of the preliminaries. With everyone intact let's move on to the second round which is! "

She pauses in the middle so the screen can be turn on, showing the U.A students a phrase as she continue's to say proudly with grandeur " Cavalry battle! "

The U.A students were confused by the next round but nonetheless they listen closely to midnight instructions. The screen soon change's to further boost her instructions, explaining to them that the second round will have them team up with three or four people. Where each team has a headband that signifies their point's.

The higher the point's your team has, the more likely you'll have a spot for the third and final round. After explaining about the groups position and their roles she then explains to the U.A students " If you have questions about your points? You don't have too~ Because those who got here first will have the highest points, and right now Midoria Izuku who manage to take first place got 10 million points! "

Every U.A students stare at Izuku. The tension of their gaze felt as if they are ready to eat every piece of his existence. Izuku couldn't help but to feel extremely anxious, as with this new's alone he knows that he will be their main target.

However, every U.A student suddenly felt a great sense of dread quickly rushing over to their skin.

They don't understand what that sudden feeling was but whenever they look at Izuku, they feel as if their are monster's that are waiting to rip their skull's if they ever lay an eye on Izuku again.

Almost all of them turn around, scared and intimidated as no one ever looked at Izuku again. Izuku was a bit confused for a moment but nonetheless quickly changes his confusion to pay attention to midnights instructions.

He couldn't help but to worry about how will he be able to find teammates since he has the highest point's, it's reasonable that no one would team up with him. He could ask Catnap and Dogday to be his team but he doesn't know if it's allowed for him to use his quirk for that use.

With no answers to this question's he decided put it aside for now and listen. Wanting to ask midnight later if he could use his quirk as his teammates if he doesn't have any other options.

It took a couple minutes but midnight was finally done with her explanation. Ending it by saying " Now all the qualifying students will have 15 minutes to form a team. Once the timer is up all of you can begin! "

Once she was done each U.A students were given headbands to signify their points. The screen change's to a timer, seeing their chance the U.A students quickly disperse. Taking the one's that they are familiar with, acquainted or useful enough for this round.

Izuku was well left behind. No one bothered to talk to him or approuch him as they don't want to team up with a clear target.... well except for one.

" Izuku over here! "

" Hmm? Ochaco... "

" Phew wow it's really hard finding you in this crowd "

" Ugh Ochaco why are here? "

" Hmm what do you mean? of course to form a team, do you really think I'm going to left my beast friend behind? "

" Really? W-wow thanks, never thought that someone actually to form a team with me "

" Yeah especially you "

Usagi commented out of a whim. Ochaco shakes his hair and replied " Well isn't it common for beast friends to team up? "

" Eh well I guess your right "

" She does have a point "

" Well Izuku, that's one down and one more to go. Do you wanna ask Tenya if he wants to join your team? "

Catnap ask as Izuku replied " Well I was gonna but I can't seem to find him anywhere. Ochaco did you bump into him? "

" No but we can look, we still have the time after all "

Ochaco replied while pointing on the timer. The five walk around the stadium field. Trying to find Tenya from the crowd until they spot him being with Shoto, Denki and Jiro.

" Hey Tenya! "

" Hmm Izuku, Ochaco? "

" There you are we've been looking for you everywhere! We we're hoping if you could join us as a team for this round " Ochaco ask seemingly innocent but Tenya hesitated for a bit. Not finding the words to say something for a moment. At first they Ochaco was confused but Tenya finally replies " Thanks Ochaco and Izuku but I refuse "

" What! Why? "

" No offense Izuku, I still see you as a friend but I want to win this round through my own efforts, not relying or leeching too much on my friend's so I decided to join Shoto's team. I'm sorry that I couldn't join you two "

" I see.... It's sad that we wouldn't be able to form a team but I hope you the best of luck in this round "

" Yeah you two "

Tenya said while he made a thumbs up for friends before going back to Shoto's team. With Tenya out of the mix, Izuku and Ochaco would need to find someone the fill on their team.

It took them at least a couple more minutes to find at one student who is willing to join their team but no one could. Out of options and time the two did began to worry until someone with pink hair and crosschair pupil eyes walk towards Izuku and Ochoco voluntary.

Waving at them a little too excited while shouting " Hey! Is this Izuku's team? "

"Huh y-yes! Are you willing to join? "

" DO I!! I'VE BEEN WALKING AROUND IN THIS CROWD SEARCHING FOR YOU!!! "

She replied while moving towards Izuku right infront of his face. She soon examined him. Taking full note to his size, weight and structure of his body before turning around to touch Catnap.

Catnap quickly slaps the girls hand's while moving away.

" Hey hey hey hey hey hey! No touch!! "

" C-catnap! Sorry about Catnap's behavior, are you hurt? "

" Hurt? Why would I be? Did you just see him! He touch my gloves!! Of course I'm beyond happy!! "

" What. "

" Oh sorry sorry I haven't introduce myself yet, ehem my name's Mei Hatsume and I wanted to join your team! "

" I see but why? Everyone here seem to avoid me? "

" So who cares! Your the school representative who got first place in the U.A entram's exam and the preliminaries too!! of course everyone's paying attention to you! My whole gimmick is that I want to promote my precious little babies everywhere around the world to see!! "

" Babies? "

" Yes!! Like the ones I made for you a few months! You know dimension bag! "

" You mean my hero equipment "

" Exactly! So what do you think! It's handy with multiple layers of dimensions that I created to fit your quirk's needs! Though I'm sad that he pass away and I sure do, I hope to avenge him by promoting him from all over the world! To remind everyone about his great sacrifice!!! "

" I see... well since we don't have much of a choice we're glad to have you in our team "

Mei's crosschair pupils widen with excitement. She began showing off her " Babies " to the group. Taking pride in explaining their functions and capabilities.

Izuku was impressed by these gadgets and even saw most of them were modeled after famous heroe's. Izuku's team has been filled. Though a bit too much considering that they have Catnap, Dogday and Usagi in their arsenal but nonetheless happy with the extra teammates.

The cavalry battle is about to start as the six of them hurdle together. Coming up on a strategy that could benefit the team.

" So how is our formation going to work? I mean we could ask Usagi-chan if she's willing to be our carrier but how about Dogday and Catnap? "

" I already thought of a strategy for them but Usagi won't be joining "

" What!? "

" R-really why? "

" Sigh.... I don't want to talk about it. "

" Well let's just say she needs a break, though Catnap can serve as our teams carrier "

" Catnap? Why would-!? "

Soon it struck Ochaco. Forgetting that Catnap is capable of producing a red sleeping gas. Doubling it up with Catnap being able to control and extend his tail he's perfect as a replacement for Usagi.

Once Izuku saw Ochaco's realization he then continue'd " See, we could fill this entire area entirely with Catnap's smoke. Though we can hold our breath to stay awake I doubt that any of our classmates won't recognize his smoke "

" Shame.... It's fun messing with you guys though "

" Then how are we going to deal with our classmates who do know? "

" Simple we could use your quirk "

" Hmm? "

" Well your quirk could help us maintain the high ground. We could use Catnap's tail to navigate us through the air while he spread his red smoke to obscure their vission "

" I see then if our classmates are capable of range attacks or tries to snatch our points from a far Catnap could just block their vission and dodge "

" Yup plus with Dogday's protection and our high ground advantage we can easily be unreachable "

" Oh that's genius! But.... Wouldn't that effect the whole stadium? "

Hatsume ask, a bit worried but Catnap ensures her " Don't worry. I could somehow control how far my smoke goe's "

" I see but how about my babies? Will they be use in this round? "

" Now that's the good part, considering who my classmates are I know that they'll eventually find a way to track us or clear away Catnap's smoke. So when that time comes we'll be needing your babies to escape "

" Hmmm well not the direction I was hoping but nonetheless I'm fine with that as long as my babies are seen from Tv " She shrugs with acceptance as they continue to discuss their position.

It didn't took a long until all of the U.A students noticed their time is almost up. All of them started to prepare their own position. Not missing a beat as they ready themselves for the cavalry battle.

Catnap quickly transform's into his monster form. Alerting the others as they saw Izuku's team hoping on Catnap's back.

Hatsume and Ochaco both guard the side while Dogday in his plushie form protect's the back. Izuku held his 10 million point headband, taking a moment to prepare himself before wrapping it around his forehead.

He then proceed's to hold Catnap and Usagi tight as they waited. Watching the numbers going down until it eventually reaches zero.

Signaling them that the second round has officially begun.
