The Quirkless boy's face contorted in utter rage, memories of all the times Bakugo hurt him for being him for most of his life.
He stopped his attacks for a moment, but only to grab Bakugo by his collar and lift his bloody, beaten mug to his own.
He let out a raw, powerful scream. A scream filled with anger and bitterness.
A scream that was loud enough for all to hear. A scream that let them know of his fury.
The boy had been hurt...and now he was returning it.
Deku returned to brutalizing the bomber's face, throwing his head back onto the cement and pounding away once more.
As he continued to punish the blonde bomber with his bare hands, the pain and fear from all those memories, where he laughed and sneered down at Izuku from above where he lay, slowly began to fade.
After what felt like an eternity of vicious, unending pummeling, Deku finally stopped.
Katsuki Bakugo, the pride of Aldera, the king of explosions, the bane of Izuku Midorya's existence, had been reduced to a battered, beaten, bloodied mess.
His eyes rolled to the back of his head. His lips contorted in a split, limp gape.
Bruises and scratches decorating his features from Deku's devastating punches.
He was the living definition of defeat.
...At least he would be if he were still breathing.
For a moment, everyone in the arena believed the blonde boy to be dead.
The thought of seeing a child beaten to death before them by the hands of a villain began to creep into the people's minds, causing them to grow into a panic.
Deku panted for breath after his relentless beating on his former abuser.
A part of him started to think that he might have killed him as well. But he didn't feel any guilt.
Should he have felt guilty? He wasn't feeling much of anything right now apart from exhaustion.
Suddenly, the explosion boy coughed and spluttered blood from his split lips.
He began to take weak, wheezing breaths through his mouth and a broken nose.
His eyes stayed rolled up and blank, a sign that he was barely conscious.
Deku had succeeded. His plan was a success. Bakugo was beaten before the entire world, his secret acts of violence exposed, and his future as a hero was undoubtedly finished before it had a chance to begin.
Katsuki's life was officially ruined.
...But it still wasn't enough.
The powerful feeling of rage and vengeance were surging through Deku like a storm.
Everything that Bakugo had done to him was reeling through his mind, scrambling his judgement and making him want more.
More pain...more suffering...more vengeance.
With a fixed gaze on the barely breathing bomb boy, Deku took up one of his Taser-Knuckles...
"Oh, no..." Ink gasped, snapping out of herself and rushing as fast she could down the stairs. "Izuku...!"
Deku reached a hand out towards Bakugo, whose sight was starting to come back to him. Through his blurred vision, he saw a four-year-old Izuku reaching a hand out to him, his face full of concern.
"Are you okay, Kaachan?"
Bakugo was about to say something when the tiny Izuku's hand suddenly grabbed him by the throat.
It was then that Bakugo was brought back to the present, seeing a fully grown and villainous Izuku Midorya staring down at him with hatred and mirth in his eyes.
He held one of his zapping weapons in his hands, raised high and ready to strike.
"Hey, Bakugo..." Deku spat as he held the trigger down, his Taser-Knuckle sparking to life. "Guess what?"
Katsuki was too weak to move. He didn't even have the strength to speak.
All he could do was stare up at his childhood friend, turned bullying target, turned villain, with a pair of pleading, fearful eyes.
"I win."
Deku brought his weapon down.
"IZUKUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!"
He stopped before he could land the finishing blow.
Bakugo had shut his eyes to brace himself for the final strike but dared to crack an eye open when the pain never came.
He saw Izuku, staring off to his left, with a look of shock across his face.
Deku started to tremble at the sight of who called out to him.
He recognized that voice anywhere.
Inko Midorya was halfway over the railing of the bottom of the bleachers, panting for breath and with tears streaming down her face.
Deku dropped his weapon.
"...Mom?"
All of a sudden, the barrier came down.
The heroes all tumbled into the ring, falling on top of one another.
The rubbery pitfall where the UA staff was trapped in suddenly reformed back into solid ground, bringing the teachers back into view.
"W-What the-?!" Power Loader exclaimed in surprise.
"The barrier's down! Quick, intercept that villain at once!" Midnight called over the intercom.
The heroes started to gather themselves and charged for the green-haired boy in the centre.
But before they could get their hands on him, Gentle Criminal came flying down from on high, with La Brava clinging onto his cloak, and grabbed Deku and bounced into the air once more.
"Kurogiri! We need an extraction, immediately!" The elasticity man called through his comm desperately.
"Affirmative." The living cloud answered back. The vortex man stood above the stadium, watching as the fight between Deku and Bakugo took place.
He raised his arms and opened a portal in line with the flamboyant thief's trajectory.
The thief and hacker, along with Deku, disappeared into the vortex, which closed up as soon as it opened.
Kurogiri warped into himself, using his quirk to teleport away from the stadium.
The heroes, teachers, audience and students could only watch as the villains who infiltrated the sports Festival vanished before anyone could stop them.
In their wake, they left behind a perplexed stadium of people and a violently beaten child in the centre of the arena.
Shota stared out over the silent arena, Present Mic as silent as he could remember him being beside him.
The quirk eraser looked to where his beaten pupil lay, his past deeds of abuse still playing on the monitors.
"He planned this..." Eraserhead spoke as he found his voice once more. "He planned all of this...and we let him get away with it."
The screens around the stadium replayed the footage of Izuku as an innocent toddler, dressed in his All Might onesie, with a proud, radiant smile that shown with hope and happiness.
The stadium was quiet as the innocent child cried out his hero's catchphrase one more time.
"Have no fear! For I AM HERE!"
