CHAPTER START---

Flying across the open countryside Horizon is on his hoverboard, moving at 300mph -482kmph-, wearing his full Hero Costume with his sword at his side.

With the sun now completely hidden beyond the ocean he makes his way southwest, away from Musutafu where UA is.

Taking a casual stance on the hoverboard just as he would his surfboard or longboard he has his phone out as he scrolls through his 'Yay!' account.

Seeing tens of thousands of comments on his last post, a picture of him in full costume, announcing to the world that he's alright.

Seeing the worried comments and people cheering him on he can't help but roll his eyes at the pathetic sheep.

'People are still following this 'True hero' bullshit Stain was preaching, serious?' he wonders, noticing some custom emojis and stickers in the comments of Stain proclaiming Horizon to be exactly that.

Shaking his head at the absurdity of Hero worshipping people he continues listening to his music as he rockets through the air.

Just a few hundred meters above the rural area between cities he's protected from the cold night wind by his body glove and visor.

Redundant copies were made weeks ago by Mei, foreseeing that one day his costume would be damaged.

BEEP BEEP BEEP!

Horizon sighs as his music is cut off, and 'Hanta Sero' is projected on the inside of his visor, an incoming call.

"Yeah?" he answers the call.

"Are you ok man?!" Sero yells into the phone.

"Better if you weren't yelling in my ear," Horizon says.

"Sorry, it's just, from what the news said, the leaked reports, we weren't sure if even you could survive that."

"Tch, barely a scratch, regrowing the eye was a pain but I've done worse things."

"What? When?"

"Mom was very hands-on and thorough with training. The point is I'm perfectly fine now, how are you and the others doing?"

"Well we've all been put on house arrest right now," Sero says. "All the Year-1 Hero Course students or older Hero Course students from UA without a Provisional License have Pro Heroes watching them, unless they're at an agency."

"Really? Who do you have?"

"Jolt," Sero says in a defeated voice.

"Seriously, you got just grown up Kaminari?"

"Uh...too soon man," Sero says in a low voice.

"Oh right, that happened," Horizon says dismissively. "How is everyone taking that?"

"If by 'that' you mean watching our classmates die in front of us...not good. Only a few of us were there when that fire hit, those blue flames were something else man."

"Hmm, how did that even go?"

"Well I don't know the full details but some of the Nomu had this Quirk called 'Absorb and Release', they used it to keep Bakugo and Todoroki busy while the rest of us were under attack.

Some psycho named 'Muscular' was mangling up Midoriya pretty good but thankfully he won that fight.

The rest of us were dealing with some of those Nomu...it was like they knew all our Quirks and prepared Nomu just for us..."

"Probably because that's exactly what happened," Horizon says. "About half of you showed off what you could do at the Sports Festival, but from what I know they even had counters to people like Jiro and cookie...they can't know about that from the sports festival since both of them didn't use their Quirks."

"Wait...you think they have a spy?" Sero asks, terror in his voice. "But it's UA. Plus none of us even had any phones to call the villains."

"Well I'm on my way to solve that problem tonight, so you'll find out how it goes pretty soon..."

Sero takes a deep breath, unable to fathom that someone at UA would be an undercover villain.

'But if Horizon has suspects then...it has to be true, Horizon doesn't make mistakes, not with things this big.'

"Ok," Sero mutters, clearly pissed off.

"Ok?"

"Yeah, when you find whoever it is, give them a bit of payback from all of us," he growls out. "That lizard guy got Koda...the big guy with the magnet pushed Sato into the fire...that freaky girl with the knives got Pony, and Shigaraki decayed Kinoko...and Kaminari, man..."

"The report didn't go into the specifics, but what happened to Kaminari?"

Sero falls silent for a while, Horizon hears a few sniffles before he begins speaking in a shaky voice, "he jumped in front of us...I was out of tape and he jumped in front of us when a Nomu stretched its arm like a dozen meters to grab any of us.

He thought he could just fry it like the others, and it worked. But that damn clone guy, he just kept making more and more, it was too much, and Kaminari ran out of power...we couldn't get to him in time..."

"Did Twice kill him?" Horizon asks plainly.

"No, some of the Nomu just...they pulled him apart," Sero immediately begins breaking down crying, much to Horizon's annoyance.

"That's unfortunate..." was all Horizon said, realizing it would be much harder than expected to re-open the Hero Course after that.

"Yeah," Sero says before his voice becomes angry. "So when you find whoever brought the villains there, who killed Kaminari, you give them some payback for all of us, alright?"

"I'll take care of it, and Sero."

"Yeah?"

Horizon pauses for a moment, genuinely trying to figure out how to say this in the nicest way possible.

"Kaminari died a Hero," he says in a surprisingly soft tone. "But that's worthless if all you do is cry and mope around like a pussy, get to work, save some lives, that way he's worth more than just who he saved that night, got it?"

"Uh, yeah...got it," Sero mutters as he presumable wipes his tears.

"Good, I've gotta go, Nezu is calling," Horizon hangs up before Sero can respond and answers Nezu's call.

"Where are you?" Nezu immediately asks.

"Out, why?"

"You left UA a few minutes ago without telling me, I'm concerned, how are you feeling?"

"Better, I'm going to deal with your spy problem, my way."

"That is a very delicate matter Horizon."

"Well right now it's costing us lives, so are you willing to let more people die or should I just handle it now?"

The call is silent for a few seconds.

"That's what I thought."

Nezu sighs, "what condition are you in, can you fight?"

"Not optimally, not for a while, but I should be fine for tonight."

"So not against someone like All For One or the USJ Nomu?"

"Not a chance, I still need time, did you forget what condition I was in? It's only been two days since I woke up remember."

"I see," Nezu pauses for a moment and Horizon overhears some nearly inaudible chatter in the background, so clearly Nezu wasn't alone. "And is the data you gave us on All For One comprehensive of what you know."

"Excuse me?"

"Is there anything you could have missed?"

"You doubting me?" Horizon asks, getting annoyed now since he did put everything combat related into his report, the deal with his parents simply wasn't necessary to be reported.

"No, I'd never do that," Nezu admits. "But the police are doing an investigation and want to plan a counter-attack, they want as much information as possible."

"I see, so they want me in the raid team...that makes sense, but it'll probably be weeks before I'm ready for any high-level fights."

He hears more indiscernible background chatter before Nezu responds. "Well that's unfortunate, but we simply don't have that time to wait. Yesterday the League Of Villains attacked the Hero Commission branch in Warden City."

"Warden City...but the only thing that branch has is---"

"The prisoner transfer documents for all the prisons across Japan," Nezu says. "We believe they plan a mass jailbreak of all their allies we've arrested since the USJ incident. And the existence of this Vanguard Action Squad proves they're actively recruiting, snuffing them out before they go on a recruitment drive is our priority."

"Yeah before they have another army aside from the Nomu, I assume the public doesn't know about the impending fights."

"We manage to blame the destruction on a gas leak since it all happened inside the building, another reason why Kurogiri is so high on our priority list."

"That makes sense, well sorry but I won't be in top form for at least another few weeks, got a lot to sort out."

"Well we managed before you, we can still do just that, please do bring back anyone you believe is the spy unharmed if possible."

"No," Horizon says bluntly.

Nezu groans, "do remember you're trying to be a Hero, I'm more upset than anyone about what happened to my students, but we must not let our emotions blind us. I'll call you later tonight. Right now I have a press conference to deal with, the media is already setting up downstairs and waiting for UAs explanation on how it will continue forward..."

"I'll try to watch it if I can, good luck."

"After tonight, everything will be fine, your next semester should be rather smooth."

"Well, I hope so," Horizon hangs up, breathing a sigh of relief.

Resuming his music and putting his phone away he considers the conversation he just had.

"Nezu kept calling me Horizon, never once used my name, combined with the muttering he's not alone, I was extra careful because it's probably Detective Tsukauchi there since he was giving me otherwise classified info... and I'm guessing All Might or Eraser if they were planning a counter strike, you need those two for a smooth attack against All For One..."

He crosses a few more miles, still not seeing his target city anywhere ahead of him, deciding to not speak aloud for now in case Nezu is bugging him.

'All For One sent the league to get the Tartarus prison documents, if anywhere has ancient files about the layout it's that branch of the Commission, he's planning to get them out already. Luckily I really didn't have to lie about not being in fighting form to go up against someone that strong, even with help.

Now all I've gotta do is have the cops wait until I'm in top shape. But by that time All For One and...Gigantomachi, whoever that is, will attack Tartarus and get my parents back, then I'm out of this country forever, after fixing his body of course...'

---Nezu's Office...

Hanging up after his call with Horizon, Nezu is in his chair, sitting behind his desk.

In front of him on one couch was Yagi, wearing his All Might costume, the modern version currently hanging on him as if he were a coat rack.

Beside Yagi was Detective Tsukauchi, wearing full SWAT gear with a rifle at his side.

Opposite them, both wearing simple black business suits, were Vlad King and Eraser Head.

"Horizon won't be available sadly, he's still recovering," Nezu says.

"Then we'll just have to continue forward without him," Yagi immediately says, already not wanting to waste any more time.

Both Tsukauchi and Nezu share a concerned look while Eraser and Vlad notice but aren't in on the full secret.

Nezu turns to them both, "can you both please head down to the press conference ahead of me, there are a few things left to discuss..."
