I breathed a sigh of relief and smiled as I helped Hagakure get up.
"Are you okay?" I asked with concern. "That looked painful."
"Y-Yeah, I'm fine." She stuttered as she brushed off some dust from her butt. "Thank you for the help."
"No problem. But you might need to put on your clothes again."
"Ah! Right!"
She looked around frantically until she found her clothes and rushed to put them back on. Meanwhile, Aizawa looked at us and called out to me.
"Saiki, your use of quirk is incredible. But you need to work on your fighting style. Don't just disappear and give your opponent an advantage to attack. Use your skills and wits to win."
I nodded at him. "I understand, Sensei."
"Good. As for Hagakure."
"Y-Yes." She jumped when she heard her name.
"You wasted your quirk's potential. When the battle started, you should've moved already, waiting for your enemy to strike. You can always counterattack or dodge when your opponent attacks. Don't hesitate or you will lose."
"Y-Yes! I understand! Sorry!" She bowed her head in apology as she held her clothes tightly against her chest.
Aizawa didn't say anything else and continued to watch the next fight with a bored expression. Hagakure bowed her head again to me before walking away with a gloomy look on her face. She put on her clothes in the corner of the room alone.
'Should I tell her that I can see her? That would be a waste of my secret power.' I shrugged my shoulders and looked at the fight that was ongoing.
It was Bakugou vs Iida, and Bakugou was dominating the fight. The explosion quirk was too powerful for Iida to handle, and he didn't have a chance to counterattack at all. It was over in less than 2 minutes, and Aizawa declared Bakugou as the winner.
The bespectacled guy was brought to the infirmary by Recovery Girl. The old lady sighed and shook her head as she looked at Bakugou's back.
"That boy needs to learn to control his temper. To think he would harm his classmate like this..." She muttered.
Izuku went next. His opponent was Hanta Sero, a boy with a quirk that allowed him to shoot tape from his elbow.
At the start, Izuku was cautious. He lowered his stance to decrease his chances of getting hit and waited for Sero to attack first.
But Sero had no such intentions. He grinned and rolled up his sleeves before running toward the green-haired boy. He had a tactic in mind, it seemed.
Just as he was about to reach him, he leaped into the air and shot a strong kick at him with his legs stretched out.
However, Izuku dodged it with ease and grabbed his leg before throwing him to the ground. He smiled as he clenched his fist. Glowing veins appeared on his arm. One for All was activated!
"Smash!"
He punched down on Sero's head with his full strength, probably using 10% OFA, causing the latter to pass out. And it was over in less than 2 minutes as well.
'Gotta say, I'm impressed with his growth.' I nodded to myself in approval. 'His One for All is stronger than the original too, seeing he can control it. It seems like he trained hard since the last time we fought.'
In the next fight, Momo Yaoyorozu wasn't fazed by her opponent's quirk that could produce lightning and used her creation quirk to make an insulation robe.
"You can't beat me, Kaminari-kun. It's my turn now." She said confidently as she wrapped the robe around herself. "Try again if you want."
He shook his head and let out a sigh in defeat. "Fine, I give up."
Their battle was over quickly, but it seemed like Kaminari was more interested in flirting with her than fighting her.
Momo was able to see him and realized what he was trying to do, so she was more cautious during the fight and created a long stick to keep him away.
'That guy... I will keep an eye on him.' I frowned as I saw him grin at Momo smugly after the fight. 'He has a few screws loose. Literally.'
Everyone had their turn to fight after that, and we were back at our class. When walking back, I approached Yaoyorozu, who looked tired but satisfied with her performance.
"Yaoyorozu-san, that was impressive." I commented with a smile. "The way you counter his quirk was brilliant."
She nodded with a blush on her face. "Thank you, Saiki-kun. But it's nothing compared to you. The way you dodged Hagakure-san's attacks and caught her off guard was amazing. What was your quirk? I see you disappear into smoke whenever you activate it."
"Are you asking me to create a countermeasure against it?" I grinned at her words.
"You got me." She chuckled softly. "Yes, I'm interested in your quirk and want to create something that can defeat it."
"How about this? We can meet up and spar sometime." I suggested. "That way we can get stronger and better understand our quirks."
"Yes, that sounds like a good idea." She agreed with a nod. "Thank you for the offer, Saiki-kun."
After that, I parted ways with her and went to the changing room. Everyone was gathered in the class again for the announcement. Who would be expelled from the class?
And, not to my surprise, no one was expelled. Aizawa told us that we had a good potential, and we need to work harder to become heroes. His words seemed to lift the mood as everyone nodded in determination.
"Aah, it's a relief! I am not expelled!" Hagakure squealed happily as she clapped her hands together. "I was worried I didn't have what it takes to be a hero."
"Good for you." I smiled at her. Before I realized it, she sat next to me.
Maybe she felt kinship because our quirks were similar? Or maybe she took a liking to me?
I didn't know. But I was glad to have someone I could relate to in this class.
