Chapter 60

" What?! " Mirko asked in confusion and anger.

" You don't understand?! It's so simple! " Doctor Garaki said with a few chuckles before screaming out in pain as Mirko placed pressure on his arm with her foot, intending to break it.

" Then tell me in simple words! " Mirko asked politely.

" I'll tell you!! I'll tell you!! " The doctor yelled as Mirko stopped adding pressure. The doctor breathed in heavily as he smiled.

" It took so long but it was worth it. By modifying the quirk of one of the Nomus, Johnny was his name, I managed to make him have a small pocket dimension, that he travels to before being able to teleport to his location.

It's such a useful ability. It should keep him busy, especially with the company he will have inside. The easiest way to deal with him would have gone against Kurogiri, but you've captured him. I can't make a new Nomu from scratch in the amount of time I had, for its sole purpose was to defeat Axel? so I went for the next best thing. To stall him. " The doctor said with a smile.

" Then command the Nomu to get him out. " Endeavor said.

The doctor stared at Endeavor and the heroes before he started to chuckle and then to full-blown laughter.

" Why the hell would I do that?! " He asked. He had no reason to, but he continued to talk.

" That boy is more dangerous than what I ever rethought was possible. One application of quirk could help mobilize all your forces to help defeat us with the help of electronics. Most of our forces wouldn't be able to reach him considering his quirk is Barriers.

Even Nine who was one of my greatest creations couldn't beat him!

Considering how much a threat he is, do you think I'll listen to you?! " He asked.

" Yes. " Mirko said as she stomped on his arm, hard.

The doctor screamed out pain at having his arm broken from that stomp. But as the initial pain went away, he smiled, though it was strained since there was still pain coursing his arm.

" Well, no matter. Don't you have more pressing matters, than worrying for Axel? " Dr. Garaki said with a smile.

The heroes were confused about what he was talking about before they heard it. The computer sounded the alarms as Endeavor ran towards it. The timer on it showed it reached zero. He looked Towards the doctor who was grinning. He was also stalling the heroes to give Shigaraki the best possible chance of succeeding with his new body.

The doctor smiled as he laid there on the ground. Considering the attack he needed to work fast. He made sure Tomura would be alright to win, so he stared for time till the process was 90% complete.

The doctor watched as Tomura awakened from his nap, staring at the heroes and then himself. He nodded to him and bit something in his mouth. A cyanide pill. The process of creating a Nomu is long, tedious, and needs a lot of support. Luckily, he told Tomura that the more important high-end Nomus were placed in a secret location and how to activate them.

He would just be a weak link in this battle, as Tomura would have to protect him while fighting.

His work was done. He could rest well, knowing that Tomura would be victorious. After all, Axel was gone but that was calculated. He doubted that Shigaraki could defeat Axel before All for One and right now Shigaraki wasn't in full control of it, but once he masters it, not even Axel will be able to stop him.

So to make that happen he needed to get rid of Axel or stall him. The outcome was stall as he sent Axel into that dimension. The nomu that took Axel there can't leave the dimension until Axel fulfills a requirement. Defeat the Nomu the doctor made especially for him.

With that, Doctor Garaki had dead with a smile on his face.

The heroes on the other hand stared at the awakened Tomura. Tomura stared at the heroes and the fallen doctor who had a smile on his face.

" Thank you for your service, Doctor. I won't let your efforts go to waste. " He said as he stared at the heroes. He placed his hand on the floor as Aizawa quickly used his quirk.

The building crumbled. It was destroyed as he toppled. The heroes made their move and rushed to get out of there, while Tomura took his time. Aizawa was confused about how his ability didn't work for him.

He just didn't realize yet that it did work but on the wrong quirk.

Tomura stared at the fight occurring and laughed, even though his plans were falling apart. There was nothing he could do about that. With that in mind, he rushed off to Midoriya to claim One for All.

Axel stared at the Nomus in front of him, as they slammed against the barriers he was inside of. He was inside the barriers for as long as he was inside this place.

There was only one nomu, which Axel stared at and observed before cutting it down. But that only made more. Every single time he " killed " the Nomu, it just created more duplicates of itself from the blood or body parts left over.

They had intelligence, realizing that they couldn't get past his barriers with the trench they had. So they just multiply further. Ripping off their own hands, legs, stabbing themselves to let the blood pour onto the ground.

They kept multiplying as Axep just watched from inside his barrier. His barriers held up. They went taking any damage at all. He was comely fine physically. Mentally, he was suffering.

He knew that they multiply through blood, so to get rid of them, the best option would be to turn, destroy them, make sure that there's nothing left.

He could do so, but he couldn't do it at the moment. While keeping his emotions in check, he noticed that whenever his domain was active, his emotions were visible to everyone. It was compulsive. He couldn't stop himself.

His mind was in turmoil. He didn't want to use his domain, in fear of behaving the same way, but only this time, he had an ultimatum. Whether he would stay in here, till everyone gets him out or just do it himself and go help them.

They would get hurt. They had the chance of dying. The decision should be obvious and Axel was currently beating himself over it. One part of him didn't want to use the ability like he has been doing for the past 2 months, but the other one was currently telling him to use it, wake up to reality, to go help his friends.

It was an argument he had in his head. One was yelling, the other was calm and Axel was sitting on a chair, watching them with a front-row seat. Time was irrelevant here. Axel didn't know how long was in here for, so he just listened.

Listened.

Listened.

And listened... Before snapping.

" Screw it. " Axel said with a smirk.

His domain expanded, across the dimension itself. Axel noticed that it wasn't as big as he thought it was, but didn't matter. Looking at the Nomu in front of him, he focused on them. The Nomu were surprised, as they couldn't move a muscle.

" A single drop of blood can't be left of you Simple enough but using fire is boring. Instead, let's cut you up until there's nothing left. That's enough talking though, I need to leave. " Axel said with a smile.

The Nomu watched as they were sliced up part, bit by bit. But it wasn't just them, it was everything inside the domain. The floor of the dimension got cut up to. Before long, there were no signs of the Nomu being present. Not even a drop of blood.

" Sate, Sate, Sate, it time to leave. " Axel said with a smile on his face.

He expanded his domain and a Nomu appeared in front of him. It was Johnny. The Nomu who worked for the doctor, of course, Axel didn't know that.

" So you're my way out. " Axel mused as he looked at the Nomu in his hands.

" Time to leave. " Axel said.

He looked at the Nomu, forcing it to obey him To test if it worked, he made the Nomu do basic movements.

' It works. It's time to leave. I won't let them die. ' Axel thought.

" Use your quirk and get me out of here. Teleport me to Jaku Hospital. " Axel said as he looked at Johnny.

Johnny nodded and used his quirk, using a purple mist that swallowed the both of them, disappearing from the dimension and reappearing at the remains of Jaku Hospital.

Axel quickly disposed of Johnny and quickly erased his domain. He activated his barriers to take a look at the battlefield.

But he saw was destruction. The battle was over. He got on his make-shift hoverboard and rushed off to his friends. When he arrived, Mina and Kirishima looked at him. They ran towards him with tears, hugging him as he was alive, unlike the dead teacher Axel stared at, with horror etched on his face, the same face he had since he got out of the dimension.

Midnight was dead.

So many people were dead.

Many were injured.

The city was destroyed.

Shigaraki got away.

Heroes vs Villains.

Winner: Villains.
