"I refuse to accept you!" He screamed. "You wench! You have been tainted by another man!"
"Please!" She pleaded for her life. The blood seeping into her eye, blurring her vision. "I'm innocent!"
Without warning, he started hitting her. Blood staining his face.
This was normal after all.

"Ahh!" Roxanne woke up screaming. Sweat beads forming and instantly drizzling down her forehead. She was panting unsteadily. Her heart racing without concern.
"Where?!" Her vision fully restored. She looked round her. She was on a bed in a small cabin like structure. The heat around her was coming from a fire place that had fresh wood in it. She removed the blanket covering her and walked towards the fire. She sat Infront of it. Tears rushing from her eyes for no reason.
That dream felt to vivid. She sobbed quietly.
"You're awake." A familiar voice called out. Roxanne snapped her head backwards. Her body still trembling with fear.
It was Ethan. He stared down at her, no identifiable emotion on his face. He stood at the door of the cabin. He had just walked in, but Roxanne was to dazed to notice.
"How?"
"What are you doing out here?" Ethan asked, finally his voice held an emotion. Irritation.
"I was looking for you." Roxanne's voice cracked. She started scrambling around as if searching for something.
Ethan sighed, "This?" To Roxanne's surprise, he pulled out his phone from his pocket. Roxanne immediately stood up. She wobbled towards him. She was about to reach out when she fell. Luckily, Ethan caught her in time. "You shouldn't be out here." He stated, his voice laced with minute concern.
"Did you see the message?" Roxanne asked, unconcerned by her wellbeing. Ethan ignored her. Lifting her up, he placed her back on the bed. He covered her before going towards the cabin's kitchen. Roxanne caught a view of him walking away before she closed her eyes once more.
"Stopp." She muttered. Something was discomforting her. She had barely fallen asleep before feeling a heaviness on her body. Almost like something pressing against her.
"Rian get down!" She heard Ethan's voice in the distance.
'Get down? From where? From me?!' Her eyes darted open.
Roxanne's face grew even paler when she saw one of the creatures that chased her lying on her body. She froze. Then a bark came from beside her. She cranked her head sideways. She was surrounded.
"Ahh!" She jolted. Pushing the creature from her. She stood on the bed.
Ethan blinked twice, what just happened?
"Rian. Timothy. Gabriel. Pharo. Hanna. Leave her alone." Ethan ordered and the creatures obeyed. Immediately, left her. They walked towards him then laid at his feet. Roxanne held her heart in her hands.
"You control those beasts?"
"Beasts?" Ethan repeated in surprise. He hadn't spent a day with this woman and she was already getting on his nerves with her words. "These are my dogs." He stated the obvious.
"W-why were they chasing me?!" She whined further.
"Why are you out here?"
"I was so scared. I thought i was going to die." Roxanne eased up. Her pitch falling.
"Get down from there." Ethan ordered depressingly. He went back into the kitchen, leaving Roxanne with the dogs.
"Here." Ethan came back out with a platter. He dropped a cup of hot cocoa on a table beside the fire. Along with some delicious looking pasta. "You need to eat something." He urged her on. She sat on the floor and started eating. She was impressed!
"I had no idea you could cook so well." Roxanne commented as she stuffed her face.
"I had to learn how to cook. For my younger sister. Our family always left us alone when we were younger so i had to take care of her." Ethan smiled slightly, the memory of his past bringing a bitter sweet feeling to his chest.
"Wow. Where is she now?" Roxanne asked.
Instantly, Ethan frowned. A deep crease formed on his forehead. He fisted his hands. "That's none of your business." He stated coldly. He shot an icy glare at Roxanne before walking into the only room in the cabin.
"What did i say?" Roxanne asked, looking to the dogs as if for answers.
Moments passed by and Roxanne had already finished her meal. She sat by the fire, a blanket round her and a min in her hand. She sipped the cocoa slowly.
Surprisingly, she was surrounded by the dogs and was calm. The period Ethan left her alone, had given her substantial time to bond with her former chasers. Her favourite was Gabriel. He was an Alaskan husky mix.
The door creaked open, Ethan came out. His hair was dripping, signifying he had just come out of the shower. A towel was frapped on his shoulders. He was wearing pyjamas which really showed off his muscle tone.
"Go take a bath." He threw a towel to her. He walked passed her and went beside the fire place. He pulled out some logs and threw them into the fire.
Roxanne studied his side profile, he was still moody. Though his frown lessened, it was still quite obvious that he wasn't alright.
"I'm sorry." Roxanne muttered. She had no idea a question could make him so sad. "If i knew i wouldn't have asked." She was demure. Her head faced downwards.
"She's dead." Ethan stated simply. No underlying intention in his voice. He said it as if it was something he had already accepted without question. He continued setting the wood in the fire.
Ethan turned slightly, the shock on Roxanne's face was quite amazing. But he refused to show emotion. "You should go take a bath. You'll get cold wearing that." He nodded towards her, turning her attention to her laps that were completely exposed. The shirt was folding up.
"Yea..." Roxanne quickly covered her laps. "I'll go now." She rushed into the room. The speed with which she ran, slmost pushed Ethan into the fire.
"You....!" Ethan nearly cursed outloud. Luckily, he steadied himself before he made contact with the flames.
