He hit the guy in the stomach. As he fell down on his knees, puking and gasping, Lin hit him again, with an elbow chopped down hard against the back of the guy's head, causing his head to explode. Lin let his body fall, and it landed on the ground, right next to a garbage can.

Lin walked away to his lodgings, up the winding stair and into his room, where he took a long hot shower and got in bed, warm and damp. He punched the pillow into shape, and fell asleep.

…. Until two in the morning.

He snapped awake, instantly, like flicking a switch. He got up, and turned on the television in his room.

The news was on, and Lin sat on his chair, his eyes glued to the screen as his mouth began slowly forming a grin.

"So that's your play, huh…"
