Next to the Reincarnation Pool , where the water shimmered with an eerie glow, Caesar stood lost in thought. The figures swirling within the Pool captured his attention, appearing and vanishing with each ripple.
His mind wandered back to the moment when the Ancient One had pulled him into the mirror space, presenting him with choices that could shape his fate.
With each option came a revelation, tied to the rewards they offered, whether from past decisions or those yet to come.
The first choice tempted him to collect and master all the Infinite Gems, promising him control over the entire world. These Gems, drawn from the essence of the Marvel universe, held immense power. With them, Caesar would reign supreme, unchallenged.
Yet, as he considered, he realized that with the six Gems already in his possession, more dominion over the world seemed unnecessary. Their power made him invincible, rendering further control merely trivial.
The second choice intrigued him more. Like Odin of old, he could surrender the Gems, scattering them across the universe. In return, his own divine power would surge once more, like the strengthening of the sun itself. This option resonated with Caesar, who found comfort in relying on his innate strength rather than external artifacts.
However, it was the third option that puzzled him. The reward offered was cloaked in mystery: sacrificing the Gems to the system. What purpose could the system have for these Infinite Gems? What hidden motive lay behind it?
Despite his confusion, Caesar decided it was time to choose. He believed the system, meant him no harm. With his fourth-order divine body and control over the Reincarnation Pool , he was certain. So, why not accept the systematic reward and trust in the unfolding plan?
Without delay, Caesar made his choice. The third option.
Despite passing up two rewards that could boost his combat skills, Caesar craved more variety.
As the Angels gathered, Caesar glanced at Valina beside him, preparing for training. Valina, however, seemed frail.
Initially intrigued by the Angels near the Reincarnation Pool , Valina had received some explanations from Caesar about its importance. Her curiosity waned when she noticed Caesar's serious demeanor.
Sensing his solemnity, Valina quickly put on a cheerful front and asked in a teasing tone, "Why set up a reincarnation pool here? There's not even a drop of wine to enjoy!"
Caesar replied thoughtfully, "Actually, I think Midgard is perfect for the reincarnation pool. They have a thousand-year-old devout Angelic belief, and by strategically absorbing them, we could possibly birth the first Archangel."
"But I've caused trouble with a foe in Midgard, albeit unintentionally. So there are complications now" Caesar continued. "Plus, Midgard is within Asgard's sphere of influence, a realm I'd rather not challenge."
He stressed, "Midgard's growth potential is limited when compared to the rest of the universe, and the risks outweigh the benefits."
After explaining his reasoning to Valina, Caesar playfully tousled her hair and warned, "And don't try to distract me. No wine until you finish your training!"
Valina looked at Caesar with understanding, realizing the seriousness of his words. She knew Caesar wouldn't waver, especially on matters like this.
Caesar delved into mastering Valina's art, a skill rooted in ancient wisdom and celestial power.
As he honed his abilities, a celestial spectacle unfolded—the Angels began to gather, drawn by an unseen summons.
In a breath-taking show of reverence, the first cohort of Angels knelt before their supreme creator. Led by a high-level third-order angel, supported by twenty second-order intermediates, and bolstered by five hundred level-one novices, they bowed together, offering their utmost respect to Caesar.
Valina, witnessing the scene, couldn't help but marvel, "It's truly magnificent!"
Adorned in dark gold armours, their faces concealed beneath intricate helmets, the Angels stood resplendent. Each bore wings upon their backs, their serene visages adding to the ethereal aura.
Forming a mesmerizing formation, they had kneeled before Caesar, their wings gently unfurling in rhythm.
Pleased with their display of loyalty, Caesar beckoned them to rise before addressing the assembled Angels. Approaching the firstborn Angel, whose resemblance to celestial beings of old caught his attention, Caesar bestowed upon them a name of significance.
"You shall be known as Kabriel, the harbinger of our Angel Legion. Lead your brethren with steadfast devotion, for you are their guardian," Caesar declared.
Grateful for the honor bestowed upon him, Kabriel bowed before Caesar, pledging unwavering allegiance.
As Caesar tasked Valina with training the Angels, he emphasized the importance of perseverance and resilience in their journey. Though improvement could be attained through rigorous training and arduous battles, the infusion of faith's power through the reincarnation pool offered a swifter path to mastery.
"Marvelous as they are, remember, their strength matches their beauty," Caesar reminded Valina. "Kabriel's powers serves as a testament to their potential. Let us strive to match it."
With Valina by his side, Caesar continued his training, delving deeper into the mysteries of Valina. Each session brought newfound insights, for even in teaching, he found enlightenment.
Meanwhile, Caesar cautioned the Angels against venturing beyond Surya, for the Andromeda Galaxy simmered with unrest, and danger lurked in its depths.
