Chapter 63: Speculation

To be honest, Tony had a soft spot for Wu Chen, the young Chinese man selling hamburgers. Otherwise, he wouldn't have engaged in business with him, helping him upgrade his food truck.

By the way, the new food truck was ready. Tony's efficiency in mechanical matters was always top-notch. Originally, he planned for Happy to deliver the food truck to Wu Chen this afternoon. But now, he had a change of heart.

He decided to personally deliver it to Wu Chen and probe his background thoroughly! If there was indeed any connection to the Black Hooded Man, Tony intended to use Wu Chen to find him!

With this resolve in mind, Tony's expression turned serious, with a hint of menace. Seated in the top-floor office of Stark Tower, he used high-tech equipment to observe Wu Chen bustling below.

After a moment of observation, he mused to himself, "Seems like there's no connection to the Black Hooded Man after all. Could it be related to Naruto's side?"

Tony was adept at reading people. Despite Wu Chen's sincere and straightforward demeanor with customers, Tony noticed subtle differences in behavior that hinted at something amiss.

Most importantly, Tony saw the genuine sense of achievement in Wu Chen as he handed over the delicious crab roe burgers to customers, a feeling Tony himself knew well when he produced satisfactory work.

Clearly, this burger enthusiast was not a villain. If not coerced, any abnormal behavior likely had ties to the side of good. And who better represented that side than Naruto?

With his deduction complete, Tony felt confident that he hadn't overlooked anything and relaxed his guard against Wu Chen.

But just as he settled into this conclusion, the office door creaked open with a click.

There was only one person in the world who would barge into Tony's room without knocking and not incur his wrath. That person was Pepper Potts, Tony's personal assistant and future CEO of Stark Industries.

Entering with a folder in hand, Pepper exclaimed, "Tony, have you sorted through those files from before? Several departments are still waiting on you..."

But her words trailed off as she caught sight of Tony closely monitoring Wu Chen downstairs.

"Oh my goodness! Tony! What are you doing!?" Pepper couldn't help but exclaim, feeling a twinge of jealousy as she was caught off guard. "I never knew you were interested in men too!"

Happy, who followed Pepper into the office, froze at her words, then instinctively covered his backside.

"I'm not!" Tony was taken aback, quickly realizing Pepper's misunderstanding. He hastened to explain, "Pepper, this guy might be involved in something, so I'm just checking if he's trustworthy!"

At the same time, he cast a displeased look at Happy and said, "Happy, you should know what I'm talking about!"

Startled, Happy stepped back, "I don't know, I don't know anything!"

"You idiot, I mean Wu might be connected to Naruto, what are you thinking!?" Tony retorted.

Initially, Tony hadn't wanted to involve Pepper in this matter, but now he had no choice but to come clean. With Happy as a witness, Tony finally confirmed the truth of his words, while also preserving his sexual orientation.

"Will it be safe for you to interact with him?" Pepper worriedly grabbed Tony's sleeve. "If there's any danger, let Happy handle it."

Happy: "???"

Tony, with a smug smirk, raised an eyebrow at Happy before shaking his head. "Don't worry! Everything will be fine! Even if he's a problem, he can't possibly harm me! I'll go with Happy, and he'll bring my Iron Man suit."

"Huh? Your Iron Man suit is so big and heavy, Happy can't handle it!" Pepper asked curiously.

Tony's face lit up with pride. "I've developed a new Mark series armor. It looks like a suitcase on the outside and is very lightweight. When needed, it transforms into the Iron Man suit. Very convenient!"

With Pepper reassured, Tony got back to work. When he finished, Wu Chen had just sold his hundredth burger for the day.

Witnessing this scene, Tony immediately instructed Happy to go down and stabilize Wu Chen while he himself went to the underground garage to fetch the food truck.

At this moment, Wu Chen was packing up his belongings, another successful day of selling delicious crab roe burgers behind him.

Feeling a sense of fulfillment, Wu Chen couldn't help but think that if the world were peaceful and free of danger, selling hamburgers would be a wonderful way of life. It allowed him to earn money while finding meaning in his work.
