Chapter 064 Asgard.

Loki screamed in rage, his voice echoing loudly.

Thor winced, covering one ear with his hand, but still couldn't hide his amusement. "Loki, you were a lot quieter when you were falling."

"...."

Maybe it was the two free falls, but even though Loki was still angry at first, after a quick glance around, he realized they were still in the mirror dimension created by Luo Bai. Finally, Loki calmed down.

It dawned on him that the "Supreme Sorcerer" in front of him might not be the second-rate mage he initially thought. So, he decided to change his approach.

"Thor, aren't you here for the Tesseract? My Tesseract was taken by him!" Loki declared, pointing at Luo Bai.

Thor already knew about this, so he responded nonchalantly, "Yeah, he admitted he took the Tesseract."

Seeing Thor's casual response, Loki immediately grew serious. "You need to get the Tesseract back! You know how dangerous that thing is!"

Loki's words rang with a sense of justice, as if the person who originally wanted to use the Tesseract to conquer Earth wasn't him.

Fortunately, Thor had become a bit wiser after being fooled so many times. He could see that Loki was trying to manipulate him into fighting Luo Bai, so he could escape with the Tesseract during the chaos.

Thor answered, maintaining his serious tone, "Of course, I want to get it back. But first, I need to make sure you can't move."

"???"

Loki was dumbfounded. He stared at Thor in disbelief. Was his brother really getting smarter?

Of course, that was only his private thought. He wouldn't say it out loud. Instead, he looked at Thor with wide, sincere eyes. "I'm your brother, Thor. Don't you trust me?"

The mention of the word "brother" seemed to tug at Thor's emotions a little.

Sensing this, Loki pressed on, "Thor, don't you see? He now holds the Tesseract and the Mind Scepter! We're trapped in a space he created, and he obviously doesn't want to give the Tesseract back! We're in danger!"

Loki's attempt to stir things up worked, and Thor's expression shifted.

Loki knew his brother well. Seeing that Thor was a bit shaken, he continued to fan the flames: "I admit, I did want to use the Tesseract to invade Earth, but—"

Loki had planned to cleverly twist the situation and manipulate Thor into attacking Luo Bai. But just as he was getting into his stride, he suddenly blurted out, "But... I can't believe it, Thor, you've gotten smarter! No, no, no, this isn't right! You're supposed to be the simple-minded, brawny one! You should be charging in with your little hammer to smack this annoying mage! And when you fight, I'll sneak off with the Tesseract."

Both Loki and Thor froze after hearing those words.

Thor, who had been moved just a moment ago, now looked at Loki with a mixture of shock and irritation. "What did you just say, Loki?" Thor asked, stunned.

Loki opened his mouth, trying to explain, "That's not what I meant—"

But before he could stop himself, the truth slipped out again: "Isn't it? All you ever do is run around hitting people with your hammer. Are you the God of Hammers now?"

Loki: "...."

Thor: "!!!"

It was then Loki finally realized something was wrong. He turned to look at Luo Bai.

At that moment, Luo Bai was holding the Mind Scepter, and its gem was glowing faintly.

Now Loki understood why he was saying everything he really thought. It was the Mind Scepter!

"Loki... Although you've made plenty of mistakes, I always thought of you as my good brother," Thor said, his tone heavy with disappointment. "I never imagined you thought of me as just the God of Hammers."

Loki knew he should stop talking, but the scepter's power was too strong. Before he could help it, he blurted out again: "Of course, I see you as my brother, but that doesn't change the fact that you're simple-minded with overly-developed muscles."

Loki: "...."

Before Loki could try to dig himself out of the hole, Thor turned to Luo Bai and asked, "Is there a way to make him... quieter?"

Luo Bai nodded. "Of course."

Loki panicked, quickly trying to backtrack. "No, no, no! Thor! We're brothers! You can't side with an outsider!"

Realizing what was about to happen, Loki tried to escape. But before he could make a move, the Cloak of Levitation swooped in, wrapping him tightly and knocking him down.

"I can't believe I'm being beaten by a piece of cloth," Loki said incredulously.

The cloak smacked him again in the face.

"You cursed rag!" Loki shouted in frustration, struggling against the cloak.

As Loki wrestled with the Cloak of Levitation, Luo Bai turned to Thor and calmly said, "He should stay quiet for a while now."

Thor, still visibly upset, sighed. "I can't believe my own brother thinks of me this way."

Dr. Banner, standing nearby, tried to comfort him, "I get it, Thor."

But Thor shook his head. "No, you don't understand. I've always seen him as my little brother."

Stark chimed in, "If that were my brother, and he said those things about me, I'd definitely punch him. The fact that you didn't says a lot about how much you care for him."

Thor sighed. "He only recently found out he was adopted. I guess it's normal for him to act out like this."

Everyone could only sigh in sympathy for Thor's predicament.

But Thor hadn't forgotten why he came to Earth in the first place.

"Alright, Luo Bai. You've dealt with the immediate issues. Can I have the Tesseract now? I just want to return to Asgard."

Luo Bai considered it. It wasn't impossible to give the Tesseract to Thor. In fact, Luo Bai figured that even if he handed it over, the Tesseract would probably find its way back to him one way or another.

But what mattered more to him was this: "I can give the Tesseract to Asgard. But shouldn't Asgard provide some sort of explanation for Loki's invasion of Earth?"

Luo Bai, as the new Sorcerer Supreme, couldn't let this slide. Loki had invaded Earth, and that needed to be addressed. Plus, with Thanos and the Chitauri watching, if Luo Bai didn't take a stand, it might invite further trouble.

Thor, however, didn't seem to grasp the significance of this. "Explanation? What do you mean?"

Realizing that talking to Thor wouldn't get anywhere, Luo Bai replied, "It seems like I should pay Odin a visit. Aren't you heading back to Asgard? Let's go together."
