Don't worry, there will be a timeskip soon. I'm trying to time it with the First Evolution.

[Ding! Due to Host triggering Lightbending for the first time, Light Affinity(+) Skill has been created.]
"Yip!", Miles happily yipped. It went as he assumed. By triggering Lightbending, he received Light Affinity for it. Now, all of his light-based attacks will deal an increase in 15% damage! He had no light-based attacks yet, but he will eventually.
Feeling satisfied that it went as intended, Miles gazed upward, and saw the little ball of light floating above him. It was a big enough light source to where it illuminated his burrow. He could see the cracks of the wood around him. It just floated there, silently. It didn't seem to have a timer or anything. Miles wondered what its description was, so he took a look at Illuminate.
[Illuminate]
-Lights up an area with a ball of light. Spend a proportionate amount of Stamina to increase its range.
'So that's why it didn't have a plus next to it. I can adjust this ball of light to any size I desire. Neat.', Miles mused. He checked his Stamina, and saw it was at 9 now. It used one point after creating the Skill, which used ten Stamina.
'And I know I'm fine without using Illuminate in my burrow, but I'll keep it active for now. I might try reading one of the books awarded to me after eating.', Miles concluded. He had nothing more to go over for now. He knew he still had his stat points to use, but he wasn't in a hurry to invest them. He will plan to do so when he heads out to go hunting next time.
'And while I'm on that topic, do I even need to go hunting every day? I can focus on expanding my territory, but the dropped meat should be enough to cover me for at least a week...', Miles wondered. He had several pieces of meat now, and it would be a waste if he ate all of it at once. He wasn't in a hurry to go anywhere. He still had a year before he had to get in contact with the wolf pack. He could enjoy his time here. After all, this was a new life for him. He could progress at his own pace!
Thinking that, Miles proceeded to take out two pieces of Fine Goose Meat from his Inventory after a tap of a button. His burrow was quickly swept with the stench of blood. The smell of raw meat excited his taste buds.
Just like how the wolf meat was presented, it was two raw pieces of geese meat. It wasn't cooked. On top of that, when Miles stored the Geese away, his system stripped everything else that it didn't deem necessary, acting like a food processor. Miles wasn't sure if his system would keep any miscellaneous materials dropped by his hunting. But for now, getting meat dropped like that was enough for him.
Miles did wonder if he could cook this meat too, but quickly decided against it. More than likely, it would involve creating a fire with Firebending, but he didn't want to burn his burrow to a crisp. Plus the smell of roasted meat had a high chance of attracting dangerous predators, even more so than raw meat did. So he decided against cooking any meat for the time being.
"Yip!", Miles happily exclaimed, jumping at the meat. He opened his mouth and bared his fangs. His tail thumped around, creating a dull noise inside his burrow as he gnawed away at the meat. They were rated two stars, and that meant he was getting a 100% boost in his experience gained. His proficiency would also increase by 150%!
As the notifications started coming in, Miles ate his dinner in peace. His stomach grew satisfied with each passing minute, and his Stamina restored at a fast pace. It grew well into the night as Miles enjoyed his meal.
Once Miles was satisfied eating the two pieces of meat, he decided to look through everything. Just as he anticipated, his level increased!
Miles knew his Consume had leveled up since he last used it, and as he ate away at the meat, he decided to have another look at Consume. It actually gave him a new effect!
[Consume Lv4 (75/400)]
-Special Effect 1: When using Consume, it has a small chance to create a new Skill. As the Grade increases, the chance to create a Skill increases.
-Special Effect 2: When using Consume, rewards Host with additional stat points. As the Rating increases, more stat points will be rewarded to Host.
-Special Effect 3: Has a chance to double the rewarded stat points when Consume triggers. Chance effect = LUC.
Miles wanted to suck in a cold breath of air while he reviewed this new effect. The first two weren't affected by his Luck skill, but now the third one was! It gave Miles even more of an incentive to raise his levels. What would happen if he reached 100 Luck, would he always get double the points? And what would happen if he reached 200 Luck? Would he receive triple the amount of points then?
Miles's tail started to wag in anticipation as his stomach filled up with two pieces of goose meat. He savored every bite. It wasn't as delicious as the wolf meat was, but he wasn't a picky eater. It still tasted good, and Miles was fine with that. Miles then used Masking inside his burrow. It was another skill that was awarded to him after completing his first mission. It allowed Miles to mask scents away! He could safely rest inside his burrow now without any worry for intruders. He didn't have to worry about using Burrow to hide away the bloody remains. The blood that was starting to seep into the wood beneath him suddenly got cleansed away, as if it got doused with water.
After enjoying his meal, Miles decided to review his gains, leaving him pleasantly surprised.
[Ding! 12 instances of Consume have triggered. Now calculating rewards...]
[Ding! 900 proficiency points have been obtained. Consume Lv4 -> Consume Lv6 (75/600)]
[Ding! 720 EXP has been obtained. Lv7 -> Lv8. Level: 8/10 (705/1280)]
[Ding! 50 HP, 35 Stamina, 21 STR, 14 END, 28 AGI have been obtained. Stamina has been replenished.]
[Ding! Current Stamina: 175/175.]
'Wow.', Miles exclaimed, seeing his stats soar yet again. Adding that to his level up, Miles's strength and agility stats have practically doubled. If he fought against that Goose Leader now, he wouldn't have to rely on Lucky Strike anymore!
'It really is tempting me to eat that Unique grade goose meat now...', Miles uttered. His mouth started to water just thinking of what he could potentially receive from it. It was even a higher grade than the wolf meat, would its taste be even tastier?
In addition to that, Miles was already half way to Level 9!
Sadly, he didn't obtain a skill from the Geese. Even eating Fine-graded meat still had a pretty rare chance to give him a Skill. He counted it lucky that he received one from his one piece of Exquisite wolf meat.
Perhaps it was because Miles was still a newborn fox kit, he already started feeling tired again.
His Stamina was replenished all the way back up to full thanks to eating two pieces of meat this time. Miles's belly was full. He probably couldn't eat another bite.
'I'll save the reading for later. Why don't I create a to-do list since I have a year to burn?', Miles wondered before deciding on what to do next. With a full belly, he was sleepy again, yes. But his mind was still very much awake. He pondered over things that had happened so far. If he had a few goals, it would help utilize his time before Wolverine leaves Cold Lake. He could just wander aimlessly like a normal fox would play around without a care in the world or what happens to it, but where is the fun in that?
As Miles's ideas began to form, he started to divide up tasks one after another. They went as follows:
-Read the books awarded to him by the Divine Fox System to widen his knowledge about his present location and what will come of the future.
-Increase each stat beyond 100 and see if anything happens.
-Complete his remaining missions at hand.
-Reach Level 10 and see what happens.
-Max out the proficiency of his current skills to see if any triggers a Skill Upgrade.
-Expand Current Territory until Wolverine leaves Cold Lake.
-Achieve First Evolution.
-Sneak into Cold Lake to check how things are presently going without getting caught by hunters.
Laying out some tasks to do, Miles took a mental note for each one. These weren't considered Missions by any means, just something to do to keep Miles occupied until he comes across Wolverine. And after listing out each one, there was definitely plenty to do. Miles debated on whether to include finding new hunting targets as a task too, but that would come naturally no matter which one he did.
The last one on the list in particular posed somewhat of a threat to Miles, and he wasn't sure if he should do this one or not. If he improved his Masking skill, it would definitely make it easier for Miles to sneak into the town. He really wanted to see Wolverine with his own eyes, regardless of him being a fox or not.
'I mean, I'm in Earth-10005 now. Why wouldn't I have a desire to meet its characters? I am part of that world now...', Miles mused. And it was a perilous one at that. Eventually he would encounter the multiverse, and have chances to meet other MCU characters in the process.
For now though, Miles set some goals aside for him to work on. He didn't know how long it would take them to accomplish these goals, but it should help him pass the time until it was time to subjugate the wolf pack!
