V3 Chapter 7.5 - Two women meet

After finishing her meeting with Ryan I returned to my room in Kamar-Taj.

But before continuing with her duties she decided to visit another place, so she opened a portal to this quint little courtyard where a woman who appeared to be in her fifties was sitting and drinking juice.

SHANTI POV

I was sitting in the Courtyard of my house having my morning refreshments when suddenly a glowing portal appeared near me and I instantly recognised it as kamar-Taj's trademark skill.

I looked at the bald woman in yellow and asked

"What has brought Sorcerer Supreme the leader of Kamar-Taj to my humble abode?"

"I just had a meeting with your grandson." was her answer.

"How was it?"

"His reactions to unexpected situations are amusing," she replied with slight amusement.

'Looks like someone entertained themselves.'

"Right? It feels great to tease him."

"That is true."

'Ahh, the charm of my grandson, even centuries don't immune women to him.'

"So why have you come here, certainly it is not to discuss the cuteness of my grandson?"

At my question, she restored her serious expression and spoke

"You do know that your grandson messed with time right?"

"I do know and if it is any consolation, I can even tell you that the me from before he time travelled would not have advised him against it."

"Why? As the current head priestess of rameshwaram temple, you have certainly been warned against the dangers of messing with time."

She questioned severely, and I answered truthfully.

"Of course I know, doing it wrong could very well erase everything we know from existence."

"And you say you wouldn't have stopped him, why?"

"Why should I deny him of his plans, when his strategist, who made them was the best one in all existence?"

'Looks like he didn't tell her the story, good for him.'

"What do you mean?"

"You came here most likely because could not find anything wrong with his time travel except for the little trouble it may have caused you, am I right?"

"You are correct, so who was the one who directed him to time travel?"

"Krishna, the one and only, even you dealing with the troubles he caused was probably in his plans."

She certainly appeared startled at that revelation.

"I see, then I don't need to worry about our world erasing itself from existence, at least."

"I thank you for taking care of my grandson, please look after him in the future."

'At least he will have some sort of protection.'

"Why don't you do it yourself?" she inquired.

"I can't, I no longer have that ability.

I was told a new heir would be born soon, so I had renounced my possession of those powers, that happened before he returned to this timeline."(Shanti)

"Didn't think I would regret being hasty."(Shanti)

"We all have those moments."

"True, want some juice?"

"Sure."

"Why are you bald, by the way?"

"Maintaining my hair over centuries and then the bad guys attacking me by pulling the hair got too annoying over time so I simply solved the problem from the root."

"And the recruits at Kamar-taj showed a lot more discipline on my words after that, so I never grew them back."(YAO)

"You have it tough, huh."

"Well, if it pleases you, tease my grandson as much as you want, it is a great stress relief."(Shanti)

'As long as she pays attention, it can save him from a lot of dangers. And I think acting as stress relief for her is quite a good bargain, in exchange for having the strongest sorcerer on the planet being your bodyguard.'

"I will take you up on that offer, thank you."

Before she left she informed me that he was out on an adventure.

'Good luck, my grandson.'

(AN - SIDE STORY

Wong enters Ancient One's library spinning his fidget spinner.

Ancient One: What's that in your hand?

Wong: It's a Fidget Spinner, It's a new toy to release stress, makes me forget all the trouble Strange and Kaecillius. Do you want one?

Ancient One: No, I don't need one. I have something better.
