"Boy!"
The mutant Sean Cassidy, nicknamed Banshee, said darkly:
"A hero who saves a beautiful girl must also see the situation clearly!"
"This is Lady Cassandra's loot. You'd better not interfere!"
Everyone around here knows how powerful that woman is! He felt that the other guy should understand his position!
At this time, Jamie patted his teammate's shoulder and said in a scolding tone:
"Don't be so hard on the boy, Sean. You're making us look like villains. Remember, we're not in the Brotherhood anymore."
Then, turning to Russell, who was not far away, Jamie gave a friendly smile and spoke sincerely:
"My friend, there are many women in the Void. True love doesn't just happen after a single night together, you know? Why don't you come back to the base with us? We can all share the credit."
"When Lady Cassandra pulls the claws out of that little wolf girl, the rest of her is yours to play with. And when you get tired of her, you can sell her for a good price."
Laura's heart sank when she heard that.
On the one hand, there's the danger of a high-stakes fight. On the other hand, he could join a powerful group in Voidland, gain rewards... and her.
It was a tempting option. Who would refuse?
Sean's face looked wild, still grimacing. He seemed displeased.
Jamie smiled and waited for an answer.
Russell remained silent, as if thinking.
The forest fell silent again.
After a few seconds, Russell sighed and looked reluctant:
"I wanted to agree, but I prefer a little challenge."
"A girl without claws? That's no fun."
He looked at Jamie and said with a teasing smile:
"How about you get on your knees and beg, mate? I'm a soft-hearted guy. Maybe I can turn you into a dashing Iron Man. Who knows, that crazy woman might fall in love with you right away."
"Then your captain, Pyro, would have to bow down and lick your boots."
Jamie's smile faded. He had lied from the beginning, just to fool him.
It was clear that the other guy wasn't buying it; he was just making a fool of him.
Jamie stepped back.
Sean sneered and took a step forward.
'Damn it.' He thought, I'm always the one doing the acting, but now you're leaving it all up to me again!'
"Boy!"
He glared at Russell:
"You really think you can save her? I'll kill you in seconds!"
With that, Banshee's sparse red hair turned gray and his face grew pale, like a vampire.
Laura, who was lying on the ground, suddenly became anxious!
She was touched that someone would come to her rescue, but she feared for Russell's life.
This mutant's powers seemed strange, and brute force probably wouldn't work.
"Go!" she managed to whisper.
"Go!? You wish!"
As he finished speaking, Sean opened his mouth wide!
Visible sound waves erupted and enveloped the room!
The speed of the sound explosion was almost supersonic!
Jamie was sure that this guy, unaware of Sean's abilities, would suffer a severe blow.
Maybe they'd be able to finish him off right here.
But then the smile on Jamie's face froze and he looked utterly baffled!
The sound wave hit nothing but air and shattered a tree behind the guy!
The man seemed to have foreseen the future. He jumped just as Banshee opened his mouth, easily dodging the attack!
Sean looked astonished and blurted out:
"You know me? You know my powers?"
Russell, standing on a branch, tilted his head and thought for a moment before replying:
"I don't think so."
"A bald Englishman like you is hard to forget once you meet him. I can't remember anyone as ugly as you."
Siren almost exploded with anger!
What he hated most was being called bald!
"You're dead!"
In an instant, the sound waves exploded again!
However, no matter how fast this ability was, it had one weakness - he had to charge up and face his enemy.
With his spider sense, Russell could easily dodge it!
For a while, the forest echoed with a constant roar.
Sean looked like he was throwing a tantrum, desperately trying to catch Russell as he danced through the forest!
Bang! Bang! Bang!
After smashing a few more trees, the cloak behind Sean began to billow ominously.
Then it shot off the ground like a cannonball, wrapped in sound waves and aimed right at Russell as he jumped!
"You like to dance, huh?"
"Let's see you dodge this time!"
He roared, ready to crush him.
On the ground, Laura's eyes were bloodshot with rage!
"No!"
She didn't know where the strength was coming from, but she tried to get up, even though the poison was still working.
She fell forward, her face hitting the dirt.
She had never hated her own weakness so much, nor the fact that she had dragged someone else into her mess.
Then a chuckle broke through.
"Have you ever heard of Spider-Man's tricks?"
Purple webs glittered, beautiful as shooting stars, clinging to a tree trunk!
As Banshee, wrapped in high-energy sound waves, closed in on Russell...
Russell's body shifted sideways as if nudged by an unseen force!
Sean's attack missed, and he stopped in midair, turning in surprise.
Thwip! Thwip! Thwip!
His reward was a face full of sticky cobwebs!
"What the...!"
He tore off the web, and before he opened his eyes, he heard his teammate yell, "Look out!
Watch out for what?
Sean opened his eyes, and then he understood.
A booted foot was rapidly approaching.
Size ten, he guessed.
Bang!
Sean was sent flying!
But before he could regain his senses, another blow landed!
From a distance, Jamie's eyes filled with panic and shock.
He watched as the man, who appeared to be a Spider-Man variant, darted through the forest, spinning webs with ease.
Meanwhile, his teammate, Sean...
He couldn't even fight back; he was being tossed around like a rag doll, screaming.
Finally, Russell kicked Sean upwards with a loud thud, and he dangled in the air, twitching.
A purple spider web was woven, holding Banshee like a moth caught in silk, his head hanging down, silent.
A shadow fell.
An upside-down face with an evil grin appeared in front of Jamie and whispered menacingly:
"Hey, buddy, you're next~"

Author's Note- Banshee appeared in X-Men: First Class, though he couldn't fly like in the comics.
