The Morlun Family!
Multiverse!
Hunt!
Those three words together were a bit shocking.
Russell hadn't expected Spider-Man's abilities to come from anything other than magic, and now he realized that Spider-Man was actually prey!
It was hard to imagine what kind of beings the Morlun family were.
All the Marvel information he had came from short videos he had watched before his time travel, or from popular science on a certain website.
There were limits to what he knew.
But Russell didn't panic.
He was still trapped in the Void, so there was no point in overthinking it.
The day when he would finally meet the Morlun family might not come for a long time.
With the Entry plundering system, time was power for him!
Thinking about it, Russell couldn't help but smile.
When that day comes, who knows who will be the hunter and who will be the prey!
However, this warning made him think of another problem.
The Sacred Timeline and the Multiverse - there seemed to be something unreasonable between the two!
At this point, Loki had not yet ascended to godhood at the end of time, and the Sacred Timeline had not yet been liberated.
So how was the Morlun family hunting Spider-Man across the multiverse?
And in his memory, the 616 Universe of Marvel Comics and the 616 Universe of the movies were distinctly different.
The most obvious difference? Mutants!
The former had them, the latter did not.
Also, if a branch of time immediately caused a variants to be pruned, then the female Loki, Sylvie, should have been pruned at birth, not during her childhood!
The same was true for the other Loki variants.
Russell thought about it, and there was only one possibility.
Some of the variants weren't time branches, but characters from other timelines who were tied to the TVA's time-weaving machine.
But even that couldn't explain why the multiverse formed after the liberation of the Sacred Timeline was different from the multiverse in the comics.
There must be some mystery here.
Even the so-called Marvel Universe seemed to be wrapped up in the Disney Universe, becoming more complex.
"Forget it. I don't want to think about it anymore."
Russell sighed.
As he had said, he wasn't even at the level of a god yet, so there was no point in thinking too much.
He needed to focus on getting stronger and all problems would solve themselves.
Boom!
At that moment, purple lightning flashed in the distant sky!
Russell glanced at it and immediately lost his train of thought. He turned and ran.
A huge monster was looming in the distance!
It could have been the sound of an explosion or magical fluctuations, but the Time Monster had appeared.
Fortunately, the creature didn't eat dead things.
Russell didn't have to worry about his supplies being devoured, but he did have to run along the river!
With Spider-Man's speed, the Venom suit buff, the super-serum and the Extremis virus, he ran fast, almost as fast as a car, ignoring the terrain.
With the heart of a furnace, he had good stamina!
After running for a while, Russell found a dilapidated house in the forest and broke in without hesitation.
Both the Loki TV series and Deadpool 3 had shown that as long as you hid behind the barrier of dead objects, the Time Monster couldn't find you.
Bang!
He walked in, closed the door, ran into the room, and then crawled under the bed, all in one fell swoop!
Something quiet... something soft to the touch.
"Who!?"
The woman's eyes suddenly widened, and sharp blades popped out of her palms!
But before she could turn around, an arm was wrapped tightly around her.
The next second, warm breath tickled her ear:
"Woman, do you wish to attract Alioth's attention?"
Laura immediately stopped struggling, motionless, even holding her breath.
The world was very dangerous during the day, and she had night vision, so she usually ventured out at night to gather supplies.
She hadn't expected to meet a time monster this time, and even less to find someone under the bed in the dilapidated house she had chosen!
Russell hadn't expected to meet someone in such a place either.
Judging by the voice, she was a girl of about sixteen.
Though young, she was quite well built.
His arms tightened around her, and he could clearly feel it.
Now that the girl in his arms was no longer struggling, he breathed a sigh of relief.
Alioth was still dangerous.
Loki and Sylvie had only been able to control the time monster with mind magic because of the script.
Otherwise, they would have been dust.
If the girl had been reckless, Russell would have had to consider using a portal after killing her.
But since his portal was limited to a small area, the farthest he could go was the black market.
Given the range of Alioth's activities, they were probably still within the monster's hunting grounds.
And who knew what dangers lay on the other side of the portal?
That's why he had decided to run instead of teleporting.
Time ticked by.
Russell was starting to feel a little uncomfortable.
The girl had come in backwards and hadn't noticed him at first.
But that also meant that when he caught her, their bodies fit together.
It was as if he was holding her tight.
Close contact, rising heat, breathing the same air and his arm resting in a place it shouldn't have been...
Laura began to feel something too, to feel uncomfortable.
In a voice barely above a whisper, she said:
"You're squeezing me!"
"Please let me go. Don't worry, I won't attack you!"
Russell didn't believe her.
When she'd first seen him, she'd wanted to attack.
There was no guarantee she wouldn't try again after Alioth left.
As for his... other problem...
That was even more difficult to control.
Sometimes there were things he couldn't stop...
"Just deal with it. It's so late and you're still being difficult." Russell replied in a quiet voice.
Laura didn't argue, her face was slightly flushed.
She was sixteen years old, not some brainless fairy tale heroine. She knew what was happening.
But she was only sixteen!
She had been thrown into the Void three years ago and had no experience in such matters.
At that moment, she was at a loss and could only bear it.
As time passed, Laura couldn't help but whisper:
"It's a little hot..."
Russell also felt hot and even more uncomfortable.
He thought for a moment and then asked in a low voice:
"How long before Alioth leaves?"
The warm breath against her ear made Laura feel a little dizzy, but she whispered back:
"He usually stay in one place for two to four hours, devouring everything alive in the area."
"Same at night."
Hearing that, Russell smiled bitterly.
Looks like he was in for a few more hours of suffering.
