Blood Hound

Magnus stood silently in the field as he looked a the mess that he made. After sometime later he left the crime scene.

From the wheat field there's a vast meadow that spans towards the south. As the time limit is not known by anyone everyones main objective is to survive. After traveling for about an hour long Magnus witnessed some cruelty here and there.

People are getting killed and girls are getting raped. They're behaviour is like a savage mad zombie as everyone is becoming more crazy for blood. Magnus felt that this unecessary bloodshed is meaningless so he never planned to join any of them volunteerily. But some folks did tried their lucks on him which in result they losing they're heart.

After traveling for a another thirty to forty minutes he reached cliff. Below the cliff there's a large valley. Magnus looked towards the both end of the valley that does not feel any way natural to him.

It's as if somebody cut through a giant chunk of land from here. Just as he was about to go down somebody approached him from behind.

"It's called the valley of swords." A female voice that sound pretty sweet in the ear. Magnus looked back and saw a girl with Red Hair looking at him. The girl is same age as him and wearing a Red Vermilion Dress. She is not carrying any weapons but Magnus noticed a red colour ring on her hand.

"Hi my name is Rena." Magnus looked at her with a doubtful eyes. He doesn't know her neither she knows him. There could be many possibilities why someone like her would initiate a greetings here. It's either they want to kill the other person by acting as a good person or they need help of something.

It's usually to kill or rob but sometime it's fir genuine cause. Magnus aren't afraid of anything here so instead of acting cocky he decided to greet her too. "Hello there. I am Neil."

"Neil! It's a nice name."

"Thank you" Magnus humbly thanked her. Then he became curious. He quickly asked her, "Can you please tell me why this valley is named after like this?"

The girl noticed Magnus's interest and replied, "This is once a battle ground of a level 60 cultivator. The valley is formed because of a terrifying sword cut that went through here which as a result formed this valley."

"Huh...how do you know it?" Magnus asked curiously. This girl should not supposed to know it. But here she's telling him as if she knew the whole story.

"I..I just guessed it. Anyway if you're intend to go down there can I accompany you."

'Damn! She changed the subject quickly.' Magnus thought as he realised what this girl is trying to do. A normal person should not trust her so Magnus refused.

"I am sorry. I'd rather stay alone. It is much more convenient. Please look someone else." Saying that Magnus again looked down below from the cliff.

"Hey, don't go. We might help each other if we stick together. Your Cultivation base is weak so it's better if we fight together." Rena tried to persuade him more but Magnus didn't take her words in his ear and he quickly jumped down from the cliff.

"Dammit! There's noway I can let you escape." Saying that she also jumped down.

The cliff is fairly high and it took a few seconds before Magnus reached the ground. From a few fit before the ground Magnus quickly released Qi jet from his leg and propelled himself to resist the gravity before slowly touching the ground.

As he touched the ground soon another figure landed beside him. But she didn't landed like him rather she used some different means to majestically approach the ground.

"Hey you? Why'd you jump like that?" She immediately questioned him but Magnus ignored her. Instead he started walking towards a certain location. Rena wanted to stop him but since he ain't listening she decided to quietly follow him.

Magnus felt something after landing here. Even without using his Qi observation he could sense a presense here. He slowly walked towards a direction and after a couple of minutes of walking he reached a small place where a beautiful peach tree is standing tall. In the tree there's only ine single fruit.

"It's the Demon Hell Peach. Why is it here?" Rena who is behind him started yelling in surprise.

Demon Hell Peach is a fruit that grows in Demonic Peach Tree. This is a tree that usually formed after many bloodshed. In the past whenever there's a massive level of war the this tree would show up. As if out of nothing this tree would quickly grow up and bare one fruit. It is said that whoever consume this fruit will have their body's Qi multiply to 100 times the current in an instant.

But it also comes with a cost. The moment Qi became higher rhe density raises. After reaching a breakthrough point if the cultivator doesn't managed to successfully awake his power it will blow them up. Also it's really hard to absorb too and there's a no proper way to make it fuse with Pill since this fruit tends to negate every other resources.

But it's still a miracle fruit that can help someone grow faster easily. But since this thing has a lot of value the people eyeing for it also not small.

Currently in front of the Tree there are at least two dozens of people who are all equally strong and powerful. There are sword and spear lying in front of the tree as if a great battle happened.

Among the crowd he recognised some people. One is a purpled hair young lady and another is a young man with white hair, which is very rare. Magnus has previously sae them in the entrance and they had remarkable Qi in there body.

"Another group came." At that moment a man noticed Magnus and Rena as they both approaches the tree. The group quickly became agitated as they saw them. In their eyes one more people means more tension.

Just as they entered the parameter of the tree a vast number of scan started to simultaneously target them.

"Huh! What's a level 23 brat doing here." The Purple haired lady scorned off in disdain as she looks at Magnus. Most if the people have same intention as what is he doing here? Isn't he that bold to casually involved himself in the fight among level 30+ cultivator.

Magnus remained silent as he casually walked towards the tree. The crowd are already divided into two parts. One is the side with purple haired girl while the other is with the white haired boy. Soon Magnus passed through the middle of the two groups and everyone is shocked. Simultaneously every single of them became angry. But before they did do anything they also saw Rena.

Although Rena is not with Magnus but she's still following him and her strength is also not inferior to any of them. Because of that everybody thought that she's probably the guardian of that boy.

"Tct. To make so beautiful girl as a bodyguard. Which family that bastard belong to."

"Oh. I wish she would guard me too. I am far better than that frail looking boy."

People started admiring her beauty and cursing more at Magnus.

"Hump! Man are useless." From the sideline purple haired girl became jealous of Rena.

Of course all this didn't bothered Magnus as he soon reached close to the tree. In front of his eyes there lies a gigantic shield that enveloped tge entire tree inside. Nobody can't break the shield so everybody is waiting outside.

When Magnus stood there silently Rena approached him from behind. "The shield won't be break until the fruit is matured. When the fruit is matured the shield will weaken and that's the time to actually attack the shield." She explained to Magnus as she thought Magnus doesn't know about it.

But Magnus has a different thought in his head. The fruit will ripe when there's enough blood is collected from the secret realm. But for this they need to kill each other. This tree has a massive connection with everything.

As everyone is waiting and watching Magnus and Rena, all of a sudden Magnus made a move. People who caught that started laughing internally as they thought that the kid will shame himself badly.

Even Rena is surprised and started feel embarrassed as she looks at Magnus. "What is he thinking? I literally told him there's no point in trying so why is he doing it? Did i choosr rhe wrong sheep?"

In that instant Magnus let out a punch. A very simple one without coating his arm with Qi. The punch started out slowly but halfway through its speed reached way too fast that no one could even saw what just happened. A punch which is thrown out without even using any Qi shocked everyone. And the next moment with large sound the entire shield started shaking tremendously.

Everyone is shocked. They tried multiple times with multiple ways. They even tried to use all their attacks simultaneously in a single point but still didn't even make a single ripple but that kid managed to create a wave in the shield.

Before they could even do or say anything an ear piercing cry sounded from deep within the valley. Immediately the earth trimbled with earthquake and rocks from the two cliff started to fall below.

"What the fuck? How can he managed to effect the shield?" Purpled haired girl shouted out as she stablized herself using her sword. The face of white hair boy is also full of shocked.

As for Rena she's felt something different. It's as if something isn't right.

"Dum, dum dum dum dum dum" a large sound of footsteps echoes throughout the valley and soon in the distance there's something can be noticed. Something that is running towards them with a sand storm behind his back.

"Oh my god. It's a Blood Hound. Why is it here?" Rena is the first one to notice. Soon others noticed too. They immediately braced themselves, while some trying to run away.

And amidst the chaos Magnus moved gis body. "Dang, dang, ta ta...."

The shield which once stood like a tall unbreakable wall started to make wave as if it's a made of water.

"Stop that? You are making it angry. We should run away." Rena tried to stop Magnus but before she could do anything else with a "snap" sound the shield is broken.

Everyone quickly realised what happened and the next moment Magnus is in front of the fruit.

"Stop you brat. The fruit is not ripened yet. You are wasting heavens gift." The purple haired girl shouted. Same as Rena and everyone else. Just as Magnus made contact with fruit on that same instance a flash of light sparkled and the white haired boy with a lightning fast speed he moved forward. He's speed left a white light arc across and with his sword in his hand he reached towards for a stab.

Everything slowed down and at that moment just when the his sword is about an inches away from Magnus's throat the sword stopped.

With a bewildered eyes the white haired boy looked what just happened. His sword which is about to kill that boy stopped in front of him and the reason it stopped is because of two fingers.

That boy stopped the sword with two fingers.
