Strong Will

The Elderly man looks at everyone and smiles. All the teens are confused as what he's saying. Isn't the first test supposed to be a battle royale some thought. But they didn't managed to open their mouth as it's to tighten up to be open easily.

"I will be conducting your first test." Saying that he pulls out a small ball shape object. There are many patterns engraved on the object. He holds it up so that everyone could see and spoke, "This is an artifact designed to test out a students potential." Saying that he turn on the artifact in a matter of seconds the entire area is engulfed by a huge pressure.

A tremendous pressure fallen on everyone's head and in a matter of seconds all the contestants are fallen in the ground. Magnus at first managed easily remain untouched but he later thought of something and like everyone else ducked his head in the ground.

The Elderly man looks at everyone and the smiles on his face became more bright. He started to increase the pressure and at some point he stopped and started speaking, "Listen up everyone. Those who want to enter my Sect needs to have certain strength. From this moment on within 1 minute those who can managed to standup will be able to pass the test the rest will have to leave."

In an instant almost half of the students are fainted. The remaining ones started to crowl up as hard as they can. The Qi of multiple people burst across the whole area as they quickly managed to stand up.

Magnus saw Thomas who was among the people who spectacularly stood up. His goons also managed to stood up.

As for Magnus's party most of them aren't feeling well. Ale and Shen managed to stood up easily but some other weak childrens are having hard time standing up. But Magnus decided to not help them.

It's better if one is not strong enough they shouldn't be enter in a battle royale where the weak are the first be killed. So him helping them will ultimately get them killed.

Magnus didn't showed too much Qi burst as he effortlessly stood up in the last second.

But the moment he stood up he sensed that someone is looking at him. He could tell who or where exactly the other party is prying but instead he didn't show any emotion as if he didn't noticed the gaze.

"Hmm. That one is interesting." A middle aged man spoke from within the fog as if he sae something incredible. Close to him is another young man who quickly noticed something and asked, "What? Have you seen something incredible?"

The middle aged man nodded his head and spoke, "Only a small one who managed to stand up with out using Qi." Hearing him the young man didn't say anything instead he also started scanning the crowd below.

1 minute passed and the pressure suddenly disappeared. Everyone looks at the elder with a face full of awe. "It seems like most of you are unworthy. Please leave for now. Train harder and attend the next year. If anyone is already at the age of 15 please go find work in Minthra guards since we will not be accepting above age 15." His voice was low but still everyone in the crowd mnaged to hear in properly.

Some started crying, some felt dejected and depressed. But that's the nature of reality. The cultivation world is too cruel for everyone. Where strength dictates everything people's emotions are just a piece paper.

After the losers left the elder started speaking again, "For those who managed to stood up please enter this gate one by one."

He didn't explain this time too. But everyone sort if knows what the next test is. Before Thomas and his goons left Thomas stood before Magnus and spoke, "I hope you and your party survive the next round." He said the sentence in a devilish grin.

But Magnus remained stone called without showing any emotions. This startled Thomas. He wanted to threaten Magnus more but the queue is getting filled up so he left. Magnus and the other also joined the queue and slowly started making towards the entrance.

The giant entrance made of stone. The moment Magnus get closer to it he realised that all tge other candidates are disappearing the moment they set foot inside.

'Teleportation array.' Magnus thought. As soon his turn came and he also stepped foot inside. In an instant the scenery changed. Magnus has fallen into a dark pit that almost felt like an abyss.

"Space" the word came into his mind as he started observing the spacehole while falling. For at least 2 minutes later Magnus saw a bright light below him. Soon the bright light became bigger and brighter until he reached close to the light. In an instant he fallen inside the light and the next moment he opened his eyes he's high up in the sky.

As he looked around while sky diving he saw many other candidates are also falling one by one but in different areas. From the sky he could see the whole map of the region.

"Maybe it's one of those secret realm." Magnus thought. In his memories he knew that this planet like many others sometime possess realms which are inaccessible by anyone. This places are filled with Heavenly and Earth Qi and sometime it's much dense than outside world. They are mostly within the planet but some also situated in the celestial bodies close to the planet like it's moon or satellite.

The Roger Red Dragon spent his last day is actually one of these secret realms which Anna is looking for. One could also called the inside of amthe sanctuary as a secret realm too.

Soon Magnus reached the approximate height needed for him to start his actions. He used his Qi to quickly propelled in the air by creating an jet engine like exhaust from his leg. Most of the candidates aren't like Magnus so they choose different approach. Some rich one used glider like artifact while some poor and weak bunch looked for waterbody to crash land. There are some daring ones who even crush landed with their body protected in Qi shield.

Magnus also realised that they all were separated. Although they did entered one by one Magnus and his group should have entered in consecutive manner but here instead all of them are missing. Magnus could only hope that they somehow survives cause at this point Magnus can't really di anything for them.

With very skilled manner Magnus landed on the ground. The place he landed is in the middle of a wheat field. The yellowish wheats are everywhere and in middle there is Magnus. This secret realm is like a big island probably the same size as Northern Land. It's safe to say that people of Deep Forest used this places to grow food.

Just as Magnus is about ti take a trol he met a few people making their ways over here. Magnus doesn't recognise them but their face is full of greed that something he couldn't miss.

As they approached Magnus one of the guy who is wearing a Red Robe and a sword in his waist. His face is also the same ad Thomas and behaviour is same as Thomas.

He quickly scanned Magnus and the moment he realised that Magnus is at level 23, his face became much more relaxed. He then finally spoke, "Led how can you manipulate Qi like that. What techniques did you used?"

Magnus on the other hand looked at everyone of them. Without even using his Qi to pry them he could just by looking can tell that this goons are at level 30 to 33 at best.

As the Red Robe guy so that Magnus isn't replying he became a little agitated and started proving more. "Hey tell me which technique is this? Where do you obtained it?" But Magnus didn't even utter a single word instead he looks at them with his emotionless eyes.

After bothering him sometime the Red Robe giy became angry. He quickly demanded, "Hand over the technique to us or else you will face death." The typical ness of their behaviour is started make Magnus feels that something is wrong with the world.

"Damn you won't listen. Don't blame me I warned you. Capture him for me." Just as he ordered all of the boys started attacking him at the sametime. At that moment the Red Robe guy spoke, "Tct. I thought I would start by killing some crazy fellow and here I am robbing some idiot. Guys after you get the item kill him immediately."

At that time Magnus asked something. "The sect didn't encourage killing so why do you want to kill people." He spoke like an innocent young child. The Red Robed guy immediately started laughing after hearing this.

"That's the most innocent joke I ever heard. Loon here kid you possess something that you shouldn't have. A Mans treasure is his demise. And as for killing sect doesn't care. In fact the whole point of killing is to appeal to a certain Elder who likes killing take those candidates as his own disciples.

"Oh so it's like this!" Magnus spoke emotionlessly. But he still thinks that it's not that simple. But regardless he needs to solve the issue before him.

Just as all the attacks are about to land, Magnus broke down laughing. "A mans treasure is his demise. What a great joke! But have you ever heard that those who possess the treasure have the means to protect it too."

The moment ge spoke that the Red Robe guy felt something weird. Before he could say something, he saw that Magnus disappeared in front everyone.

The next moment he appeared a sharp cry sounded. A boy who was about tho punch Magnus so that a large hole in his chest where is heart is supposed to be. The is as big as though a hand would pass through and the boy's heart is missing.

All the ma ln and the Red Robe guy every felt the pressure at that moment. The Red Robe guy felt that he made a mistake a grave one at that.

Within a few seconds many cries can be heard all around and ine by one every single man started falling. The blood splattered all around the wheat field making red spot in the yellow gold field.

Within a mare 5 second Magnus without even using a single Wi attack effectively killed everyone.

The Red Robe guy felt his whole body is shaking in fear. Magnus slowly approaches him while his hands are soaked in blood.

The guy quickly used all the Qi to create a shield and started yelling, "Don't come near me. I am Tom Ogor I am the son of Minthra's city lord. You will be killed if my father knows about this."

But Magnus emotionlessly came closer. Tom wanted to attack him using his sword but Magnus so quickly and effortlessly disarmed him that Tom didn't even noticed. Magnus stood before him and soon with a smile sent out a punch. The punch didn't landed directly instead it landed somewhere unexpected position, the weak part of Tom's shield. In an instant the shield shattered into multiple pieces and the next moment Magnus's hand reached Tom's neck.

Magnus pulled him higher and looked towards his eyes. "You guys started the onslaught but today I will perfect it to the point that it will invoke fear to those who even started it." Saying that Magnus drilled his hand inside Tom's heart and grabbed it. Tom at that moment realised his mistake and regretted the decision he made.

"Oh...Just so you know I mastered that technique by myself so even if you managed to kill me you will gain nothing unless I personally thought you this. So you guys all died for no reason."

The last line hit the broken heart of Tom even harder and his regret immediately reached the peak.

At the next moment with a "Thud" sound Magnus pulled Tom's heart ripping it away from his chest.
