To the Castle

Prakriti's P.O.V,

Following the heartwarming act of the siblings, it took Devi Gandhari a little more than a few minutes to recover from her grief. Her tears fell from her eyes but didn't meet the ground. Rather, Devi Ganga stored them on her white Saree, as for the reason? It will remain unknown until the right time...

Thankfully, the elegant and virtuous Empress of Hastinapur recovered quickly from her sadness and stood as straight as wall, regaining her former magnanimous aura that a ruler should have.

She expressed her gratitude to Devi Ganga while trying to wipe her tears, "Mata-Mata, Thank you for your warm support."

Unfortunately for her, Devi Ganga was faster than her as she carefully wiped the remaining wetness from her face, while she addressed Devi Gandhari in a gentle voice, "Putri, If you ever feel sad.. Remember, You have another mother, waiting at this shore."

Her words warmed the surroundings, almost covering the two innocent beings staring at the spectacle with delight...

...

Maybe Nyati felt the uninterested emotions of the children, who were fed up with the slow pace. That's why, The warmth faded swiftly into nothingness, allowing the time to flow at its original pace.

...

"Pranam Maha-Mata, Please continue bestowing your blessing on the Kuruvansha."

After recovering from her sadness, Devi Gandhari stated the state of the various elders in the Royal castle. Doing so, She wanted to leave to welcome the caravan of Mahamahim, which should be arriving soon.

"Wait Putri."

However, Devi Ganga stopped her and gestured towards Karna to approach them.

Despite being an Empress, Devi Gandhari obediently waited for Devi Ganga to speak with great patience unlike some infamous unfaithful beings who disrespect their very creator.

Devi Ganga warmly smiled as she observed her reaction before placing Karna's palm on her hand and spoke directly inside her inner world, "O' Empress of Kuruvansha, I request you to take these Children, Karna and Aarav with you and treat them like your children."

When Karna's warm palm came in contact with her hand, She felt a sudden familiarity! Slowly but Steadily, the illusionary figure of those ethereal resurfaced in her mind, influencing her to ask a vital question, making her restless, "Mata Mata, Who are these children?

Generally, She would have agreed to any commands uttered by the Supreme Mother. Albeit, this time was a special one.

Nevertheless, her question didn't offend Devi Ganga, by the virtue of her maturity which helped her to notice the restlessness, evident from her shaky inner world. Thereby, She explained, "Putri, they are my children unlike Bhishma who was born from the love between us, they are adopted by me. However, for me, All three of them are equal. You don't have to cater to their every need. Rather, make sure that they won't face any type of obstruction in Hastinapur. Would you?

"I will!"

"Maa, you don't have to request anything. Essentially, you are the true empress of this kingdom. It is your grace and Mahamahim Bhishma's might that Kuruvansha is still unscathed by the terror of vile beings. Your words are my command."

Hearing the piece of news, which held the potential to alter the whole political scene of Hastinapur, She responded swiftly without further ago.

Forget about the adoption part, the Pandavas and the Kauravas, would any subject of the Kuruvansha accept anyone other than the very kin of Devi Ganga?

They had already lost the chance to obtain Maharathi Bhishma, A demi-god, as their Emperor by the courtesy of his oath. Will they lose the second chance if given?

THEY NEVER WILL!

Though, with her wisdom, She can discern these things, She still desired to hear the intention of Devi Ganga. Thereby, She asked respectfully, "O' Holy mother, Can we crown either of them as the Yuvraj of Hastinapur?

Nevertheless, She decided not to be so direct about it. Instead, She pleaded as it would be a blessing for the Kuruvansha, if it happened.

Amused by the question of THE EMPRESS, dipped in the honey of a special pot known as 'Politics', She addressed the empress of Hastinapur, "There's no need to introduce them to anything like that. Unless they desire so, Keep them away from the throne of Hastinapur."

Her words were simple and easy to understand, refraining Devi Gandha-! The Empress of Hastinapur to do self-harm.

To provide anything to anyone who hadn't put any effort to earn it, is nothing but the wishful thinking of some idiots. Additionally, It only brings utter destruction for both of them.

To mention something like this, the empress of Hastinapur pleaded for her forgiveness.

...

"May your life be filled with utmost Joy~!"

Splash!

Drip*

Saying so, Devi Ganga turned into water and fell beside the feet of Karna and Devi Gandhari.

Leaving behind a serious Empress, a little curious Karna, startled maids and a little Dove resting on the right shoulder of Karna, who was ignored for the last few parts.

Damn you Author! Can't imagine the little heart of Aarav when Devi Ganga disappeared without caressing his shiny silver wings?

Anyways,

Devi Gandhari wasn't aware of the various feelings of others as she tightened the grip on Karna's palm as she ordered the maids, "Onwards to the Castle."

...

...

To be continued...
