Chapter 37: Unexpected Stranger

The next morning, the words from all of the textbooks magically paraded in my mind, giving me a world-class headache. But I couldn't complain or ask for assistance, then everyone would know that I kinda cheated. I felt bad about it now. My conscience gnawing a hole in my gut. There was nothing I could do about it now though as I sat staring at the written magical aptitude test that was so thick I bet it was as long as a War and Peace novel.

There were half a dozen students scattered around me, but spaced far enough apart where we'd have to have eagle vision to see each other's answers. A professor with wire-rimmed glasses, gray-streaked blond hair and beard sat behind a desk with his phone, looking bored.

"At the buzzer, you may all begin," he said not even looking up. "Be sure to do your best as these grades will be posted for the upcoming Open House."
