Keep it a secret

The hut was a humble abode, nestled amidst a lush green landscape. Its simplicity was visible at first sight, with a modest exterior and a thatched roof that blended harmoniously with nature. Inside, a few basic pieces of furniture adorned the space, serving their functional purpose with humble grace.

Lina made them sit.

"Who are you to Aalia?", she asked suddenly.

"I'm her brother, he's her fiancee", Yash answered her query.

"What happened to her, she didn't even recognize us.", Yash again spoke with a moment of silence.

"Do you really want to know the truth?", Lina asked them.

"Yes.", this time Lian answered.

"Alright then. I'll tell you", she started with a troubled expression.

"Five months ago David found her nearby forest. She was not sane and she fell into a coma soon afterwards.", she stopped and looked at the both of them who intently listened to her.

"I checked on her, and found out she was raped. It was probably a gang rape. She had suffered for a few days. After that she was left in the forest, her loneliness, pain and fear made her despair and frustrated."

The both of their heart winced in pain. They all thought wrong.

"She was in a coma for whole forty-nine days. I took care of her. When she woke up, she was already pregnant. Because of her weak constitution, abortion may led her to dead."

"When she woke up I said to her that she was pregnant, but her reaction was not that heavy. That was when I got to know that she forgot about that incident."

"Infact it's a fortune for her to forget all the things, or else she might be dead by now because of shame and humiliation." She finished her story with a sigh.

Lian and Yash sat there quietly for a long time.

"Can I take her away?", Lian asked after deliberated for a long time.

"She can't travel far. And her emotions are not stable. She can't handle any mood swings.", she shook her head.

"Then, take care of her, if you need anything I'll arrange it, including medicine and herbs.", Lian nodded his head after a while of thought.

"Lian, are you going to stay in this village?", Yash followed his thoughts closely and asked him.

He didn't answer Yash's question.

"Do you need anything?", Lian looked at her and asked her with concern.

"I need some herbs for her medication to boost her enegy. I'll write it down.", Lina said ash she thought about Aalia's week body.

"This is my mobile number, if you have any needs just call me any time", Lian nodded his head and streched out a card.

Lina took it and nodded. Then she handed him a note with some scribbles.

"Please take care of my sister.", Yash gave some money.

She rejected the money, but as he forced her, she finally took it.

After they left Lina's house, the duo walked side by side with a gloomy face.

"Lian, do you think Aalia left the engagement on her own accord?", Yash suddenly asked

"You will investigate further details. I want to know who has the audacity to touch my girl.", Lian said in a frosty voice.

"Do you really want to stay here?", Yash's query continued.

"I just want to be by her side at this time.", Lian said.

"I'll arrange it.", he also really wanted to accompany her in her hard times, yet it'd arouse unwanted troubles.

"And, no one can know about it. Keep it a secret.", Lian warned him.

"But, my father is... ", Yash started to say but Lian stopped him.

"If uncle get to know, eventually your mother will get to know, then your sister. They never had a peaceful relationship with Aalia. "

"You're afraid they will take advantage of this."

"You know, They will definitely take advantage. This will affect Aalia and my reputation. I don't want to take any risks.", Lian said, as he thought about Lina's words the gloom in his face apparent.

"This is plotted into your house, without a help they can't brought Aalia out safely in the engagement party.", after a moment of silence he continued.

"What do you want to do?", as he thought about the possibility, he couldn't help but shivered.

"I have my plans. Remember my words.", Lian said as he turned to look at the direction they hade come from.

"Alright. Don't worry you have my words. Aalia is my sister. I want to affect her either." Yash said.

"You leave, I want to be alone. I'll go to the hotel by myself.", Lian stopped in his tracks and told Yash.

Yash left without a word.
