"Both my parents and all my siblings are from the kingdoms. None of them are from this Kingdom." Abby shared.
Yet I was confused as to why she was still hated. "If you and your family are from the Kingdom. Why do the pureblood ladies hate you?" I asked to make sense of this.
Abby held a strong face explaining. "It's because my mother is a slave and she was used as a breeder and entertainer. My father picked her for breeding because she had three sons before me. All three of my brothers have highest-ranked fathers but we only share the same mother, not a father. So my father used her in hopes to get a son he could have to enter his Kingdom's military. Unfortunately in my father's eyes, it didn't go in his favor when he found out my mother was pregnant with a girl. My father was displeased and he left me to be sold to whoever would buy me. He gained a profit from selling me to Cory's Grandfather Phil, who bought me whenever I was five years old. But since I was little Primary King Phil at the time, wanted my mother to raise me. Until I turned a hundred years old of age. Unfortunately when I was about sixteen. The Primary King during that time from my birth Kingdom sold my mother to another Kingdom. So Phil had no choice but to take me since my mother wasn't around anymore. Going through that was very hard because I just wanted my mother. But once I turned five hundred, is when I worked as an entertainer for this Kingdom. And I was going to be used as a breeder but they found out I couldn't have children. I never went through any heat cycles. So I only worked as a slave and became a performer in dancing, and singing. And then I was also a waiter on special occasions. Once Cory took over the Kingdom. I was then under Matt's and Mike's Division authority once their father retired from his Primary role. They're in charge of the placement with slaves and making sure they're cared for and so on."
I was touched by what Abby had shared with me. "I'm very sorry you have gone through such a hardship, Abby. It must have been so hard to lose your mother at such a young age. "
Abby smiled and then continued further on. "It wasn't all bad because I was obedient and good at what I do as a performer. So I worked at a lot of Royal parties and special occasions. That's how I knew Rick, from working in Matt's Division. He was in charge of making sure I was safe and had everything I needed. Along with the other enslaved ladies I worked with. That's how Rick and I got close enough that he formed a bond connection with me during our friendship. We fell in love before he claimed me but I belonged to Cory. So he had to ask Cory if he could claim me. Cory agreed to it and we got married."
"Now that sounds like a true happily ever after," I said, feeling my heart warm up for Abby. "Rick wasn't upset that you couldn't have kids?"
"No way!" Abby giggled. "Rick lucked out since I can't have children. He always said he never wanted kids."
"I'm glad Cory allowed Rick to claim you as his wife." I empathize with happiness for Abby.
"Me too," Abby smiled.
"Do you know where your mother went after she was sold?" I asked her.
Abby replied, trying to hide her sadness. "No, Rick tried tracking her down but my mother's trail is gone. I don't think she is on this planet anymore. But he knows my father and three older brothers who are now Highest-ranked men too. However, during the search for my mother. Rick also found that I have two younger brothers and one younger sister."
I was stunned and asked. "Are you close to your siblings since you share the same mother?"
"Nope!" Abby said stubbornly and held a huge grudge. "I have no care for any of my brothers. I am only close to my sister who was also sold. She's married to a Highest-ranked man from another kingdom and has two sons. Rick gets along with all of them including my father. Cory's family has been allied with my birth Kingdom so they know my oldest three brothers and my father very well. Then my other two younger brothers are allies with Çory's Kingdom and luckily my sister was also sold to a Kingdom that we get along with."
"I'm glad to hear that Abby. It's unfortunate that you don't care much about your brothers," I said sadly.
"It's no big deal, I don't need them." Abby clarified. "I just hope you can see, that Cory isn't so bad. He does a lot for his men. To be honest, Cory likes it when his men take a marriage claim to a enslaved woman."
"I am learning that Cory isn't so bad. It's just going to take me more time. But regardless of that, I'm happy you found a wonderful husband from having a rough childhood." I sympathize with her.
Abby smiled and said. "My life as a slave wasn't bad. Losing my mother and finding out the truth about my father caused my biggest heartaches. Being bought into this Kingdom, I obeyed the laws and never ran. Which can cause punishment if you try it one too many times. I made tons of friends and I even remember when Maria came along. Maria wasn't doing anything different than you, Sally."
Maria giggled blushing red since Abby gave her the spotlight. Abby and I couldn't help but chuckle at her.
