Arman Dragona's perspective

Days seemed to pass like minutes as time went by, and it was already 3 months since My birth, of Arman Dragona, Son of The Ancestral Dragon, Ember Dragona and.....an half-human Race Annihilic Rebirthed existence

and for me, these three months were anything but uneventful, Firstly and foremost,

My body has been growing so quickly. I started off as a 30 cm lizard-like white scaled baby, and now I'm already 70 cm! I've even started to develop a small stub on my forehead where my horns will grow. When they reach maturity, I'll become a Young Dragon automatically, which is a rank 1 being. My tail has also been showing signs of growth, and if this pace continues, I should be able to become a young dragon by the age of 5.

as for the tail, it too was already showing signs of growth, if this pace continued, I should be able to become a young dragon by the age of 5, a bit more time than what the True Dragon at his youth took

Not to be narcissistic, but I really was a born prodigy among dragons, and My mother Ember Dragona took note of every one of my small growths and changes...

and during these 3 months, I didn't skip anyday of milk, and due to drinking dragon milk, my body was already able to stay awake for 2-3 hours at a time, of course, I will need a 16 hour sleep after that.

but soon that will change too, but as I grew, My Mother also started noticing some things which seemed to have worried her,

and when I asked, she told me the reasons,

one, unlike ordinary dragons that grow claws after their third month alive, her son grew hands and legs instead, Hands were not truly uncommon among dragons, dragons were lustful creatures, and kids born through the intercourse of humanoid dragons and other humanoid races mostly had hands,

but hands on a pure-blooded dragon like Arman?

that was uncommon, NO, Unprecedented!.

and that was in no sense, something good!

Why?

Dragons were the apex predators, and their claws were their best weapons, him lacking that was no good, even Dormant unranked dragons, that are just above 1 year old will have a severe advantage over him

and two, she noticed that my body in general was also developing more towards the humanoid side of dragons rather than their true monstrous bodies

all these worried her,

and I too was a bit worried, but I knew that I was an half-human, which calmed me, but I didn't tell her about that, for some reason, my instincts scream at me not to do that, so I haven't told her about those secrets, yet

and through these days, she also noticed a dull grey birthmark on my toungue, but she didn't care too much about that, dragon birth marks could grow anywhere, Of course, that would not have been her thought if she saw it alit with golden radiance. which I saw it flash one day, but that too was a part of my secrets for now.

tch, tch, I'm just a baby, but I have too many secrets....im a monster dragon hehe~

as for monster dragon?, that was just a funny story Ember told him.

but still, even if he grew to become an ugly monstrosity, he was her child, that meant, to her, he will always be her 'Cute little Arman'

and in that, he had complete trust.

...

.

.

Dragon new borns, due to being born with a knowledge legacy, doesn't need a long period of knowlegde absorbtion and naivety like humans, and basic knowledge schools were a redundant thought to them

as such, what the baby dragons needed the most was not some basic knowledge regarding the world, but rather their own principles of life,

and beliefs to cling on to through their long life

and as her child, she hoped he will inherit her own principles, atleast some parts of it.

and baby dragons, due to a special tradition, aren't allowed to roam the dragon ancestral lands or anywhere outside their family caves, before they truly become young dragons, as such, Arman didn't get to know any other dragons aside from his mom

and what he did while he was awake was either, drinking milk or listening to his mother's stories,

Yes, his mother told him different stories everyday,

at first,

the stories were rather easy going fairytales, like the story of a wood cutter who was asked which one his broken axe was after it was dropped to a pond by a beutiful spirit, and then rewarded with a golden axe for his honesty

then,

the stories she told him grew more complex,

like the story of the Beauty and beast, where he, Arman, first came in contact with the concept of love, and even with the concept of beauty and ugliness

then, the stories got even more complex, like the story of a prince, Bahubali that got betrayed by his most trusted ally, kattappa, and

got backstabed middway through a battle and died, yet the Betrayer, who was actually only doing that due to his loyalty towards the queen...

all those stories, one by one, brought into his world, different emotions and ideals, even concepts, but throughout all the stories, Ember never preached him about her own ideals nor did she ever tell him whether what a character did was right or wrong,

she only asked him questions like, what he thought of the story, and what would he have done if he was in the main character's shoes,

and in one of these answers, he once said something along the lines of "If I'm the main character I will just hope for the best"

and to that, she told him about one of her own valuable life lessons. "Always hope for the best, but prepare for the worst"

Ember Dragona was like this, she never forced an ideology of her on her child, instead she made him see a path, and only made his legs stronger so that he can walk further

Yes, instead of being a crutch for her son, Ember wanted to be the light ahead for him...not to follow it to its destination, but to show where to walk further

to make sure he doesn't go astray,

she was a mother who wanted nothing but the best for her baby son.

I tried a new writing style here. should I continue this?
