Chapter 1The new transfer student!~

It all starts off pretty smooth. I, Lia, have a usual change every three years, transfer to a new place. It might be easy to imagine but is NOT in real life. Adjusting to a new place every three years is the worst and making friends knowing that you will leave them anyway seems impossible. The only thing I like about it is exploring new places and expecting to find an adventure. Well, we should never expect the things to work the way you like because it's nearly impossible while it comes to adventure. Adventures may seem exciting, but once you are having one you really wish it would end. Now here is a weird experience I had in one of the corners of the world.

I usually have a very bad first day but this time; I made a bunch of friends already. It is strange because I have always been called an introvert at my other schools. Even how I met them was a wonder. The first day and I already made two friends; Lila and Jack. They are twins. As I was a friend of theirs, everyone thought I was cool and the thing which made me cooler was I was a transfer student from India.

How I met them was seriously insane. They were my neighbours and as my interest in exploring dragged me into the forest, I saw them do what I have been doing for years after every transfer. I write a deep description of the place in my journal and name a tree after me. They have named their trees already and built a tree house too…

Then, there was Penelope who was on the football team. I met her while she hit me with a football during rehearsals. She had black hair and she was an exchange student from Paris. I met her again in court because; I am in the cheer-leading squad and guess who is the captain of the cheer team; Lila. When everything was going well there comes the weirdest part...

Just the third day of school I woke up a bit late, when I say a bit I actually mean a lot, I missed the school bus; which might be the first time in my whole life. I was running towards school and an old, stout and a bit scary woman appeared out of nowhere and asked me to do her a favour.

She asked, "are you, O'Brien". I answered with a panting and unclear voice "No". Well, she seemed obvious and told me with tears filled in her eyes "You look a lot like my granddaughter, Elle. Can you keep this for me?" She passed me a beautiful necklace with a moon pendant. "What a beautiful necklace! But, I got to go I am already late for school. Thank you" I tried to leave but she held my hand and whispered into my ear "wait for the magic to happen and wear it after the sundown". She held my hands so tight I could not move my hand and she continued with a creepy grin "once you wear it you will always have a key to every problem around your neck, it goes with your star ring it is special". She left my hand and I got back to running for school.

I did not mention this to anyone but almost everyone noticed it. It was that sparkly. That day did not go smoothly; I got detention for coming late. This, again never happened. Who knew detention was that awful; they were sticking gum on the teacher's chair.

I had a sleepover party the other weekend. I noticed a wolf tattoo on Penelope's wrist; the same one which the old lady had. "Are you... O'Brien" I asked. "Do you want water Lia?" She asked me as soon as O'Brien slipped out of my mouth. "Well I. I need some" she stuttered. "Story-time?" I said in an unsure and low voice. She rushed to the kitchen quickly chugged some water and left as quickly. All I heard was rushing of water and the other second the slam at the front door.

After that incident, it was almost like I'm invisible to Penelope. Whenever I caught her alone she made some excuse to get out of there as quickly as she can. I never saw her being mean before but she acted else way sometimes when I did not allow her to leave.

After a couple of days, the twins texted me "meet us at bread's cafe at five after school" I just texted her back "the new place huh???" then Jack came online saying "the cafe which sells everything except for bread" and then Lila was mad at Jack for trying the new place without her then the chat went on for like fifteen minutes when Penelope quit the group.

Before I even knew the twins convinced Penelope to come to bread's and somehow both the twins got sick to leave me and Penelope alone to solve our problem. Then I did not really jump right back to 'O'Brien' incident but Penelope spilled her beans anyway.

She told her mother came here to stay away from her stepdad who was just using her for money. Anyway, she loved her step-sister as her own. So I even got the answer to why she would randomly hit with a ball because I looked like Elle O'Brien. So, that creepy old woman was Penelope's step-grandma.

I got my friend back and our gang got our beauty back. I was really looking up to the spring break. The twins were planning something big but tried to keep it a surprise for Penelope and me. Nevertheless, unfortunately, I never stop using Lila's phone because I always forget mine. Then I checked for events on her phone and it showed 'BIG SURPRISE' after two days.

We waited for two days but nothing really showed up the day but, that night the twins and Penelope showed up at my door. Penelope could not look any puzzled than that time. Then we turned on the TV to watch some news which we never did. It was news about a teen group who tried to sneak in an old shut down amusement park. Jack had something planned.

The reason behind that was to find a spooky place to spend the spring break which made me a bit less looking up to the break. Now spooky places really made me wonder about my dream, the meeting of two different worlds. Maybe the way we were going to meet the other world was the amusement park named STEEL WAREHOUSE.

The name free zed my nerves every time I heard it. It was closed for about a decade because; a few kids went missing after entering THE CLOWN HOUSE. I heard that it was a haunted house where you have to enter the house through the clown's mouth; the house was shaped like a clown's face.

I agreed to do it for the adventure waiting for me since I was ten. We had a sleepover that night; we all slept in the hall after watching a psycho killer movie. We were all scared. we slept very close and had a hammer at hand. We went crazy that night and I also made them try Indian food and they all cried out of the spice.

We all got crazy and weirdly same dreams leaving Penelope and all those dreams were about Penelope; the dreams warned us about Penelope's safety. Jack was most moved by it and wanted to take responsibility for her safety. He got his entire group at his back whenever he needed them and they were here this time to save Penelope from whatever was yet to come...

Mated To The Cruel Prince

[Matured Content] Saving an injured Fae in the forest had not been Islinda's plan, and worse, he turns out to be royalty, Prince Valerie of the summer court, heir and crown prince to the throne of Astaria. Islinda and the prince were worlds apart but that didn't stop them from falling in love.  Unfortunately, Prince Valerie couldn't stay in the human realm forever and had to return to his kingdom with a promise to come back for her. And she believed him.  But then, the other one comes instead.  Dark, broody, ruthless yet dangerously handsome, everyone feared Prince Aldric. Even as a fierce warrior and son to the king of Astaria, Aldric is denied his right to the throne and cursed never to take his place because of his dark heritage.  Twisted from the inside and starved of affection, Prince Aldric does what he is best at, causing misery. He captured  Islinda - the woman who has drawn his brother's attention. He stole her from her home for his cruel purpose. Loathed him for taking away everything that she could have had with the summer prince. He's the villain. Now she has been dragged into the middle of the dirty politics played in the courts of Astaria, not to mention surviving the cold games played by the prince.  But all hope wasn't lost because the cruel prince could tempt her all he wants but he was never going to get the one thing he wants the most. To be loved. He would never have her heart!  Or could he?  ________ "What can you offer me, little human," He grinned, slow and cruel. She would make such a wonderful plaything.  "Please," She begged him, tears now gathering in her eyes, "Just let me go."  "Fine," He shrugged as if it was an easy request, "You can go."  "W-what?" She croaked, finding it hard to believe.  "Little human, you would find out my mind changes very easily." Those words sounded merciful yet she could sense the threat beneath.  But did he really mean?  Islinda didn't sit around to find out as she broke into a sprint. If there was even the slightest chance of him changing his mind, then she would take it. She would not give up hope yet.  She didn't know why but Islinda spared a look over her shoulder after a while and the blood drained from her face at what she saw coming.  Oh no, she just made a terrible mistake.  This was never freedom.  It was a hunt.  And she just became the prey.  _________ Note: This is a dark fantasy book and the male lead is a villain, so don't expect fluffy romance. What to expect? Death, gore, thick sexual tension, and explicit scenes. Also, it is not reverse harem. Gift magic castle = 5 bonus chapters! Come, let us have a wild hunt!

Royal Secret: I'm a Princess!

After living as a famous Korean vlogger-slash-mukbanger, Neoma died a (shameful) death and regressed to her tragic first life--- the life where she has to live as a hidden princess with a tyrannical father and a yandere twin brother. She died at the hands of her psycho brother in her first life. But luckily, she charmed her "big brother" this time. Her father remains a sc*mbag, though. But a blessing in disguise happened when her twin brother got "sick." Because of that, she has to pretend as the "Crown Prince," forcing her father to treat her well. She thought she was finally on the road to becoming a lady of leisure. But, despite her laziness, she still ends up completing royal duties that put her closer to the throne than her sick twin brother. The next thing she knew, they already prophesied her to be the first empress of their very patriarchal empire. Now Neoma finds herself in the middle of the succession war she never wanted to be involved in! *** [EXCERPT 1] “Neoma de Moonasterio, the first princess of Moonasterion Empire. From now on, you’ll live as Prince Nero’s proxy.” [The hell is this psycho saying?] Neoma, despite her confusion, still smiled at her father--- the emperor. “Father, what do you mean by that?” “From now on, assassins sent by my enemies would target Nero,” the emperor explained. “Until he’s strong enough to protect himself, you’ll pose as your twin brother.” Her smile froze, but she still acted innocent. “But Father. If I take my brother’s position, then wouldn’t the assassins mistake me for him and…” She stopped talking when she realized that was exactly what the emperor wanted her to do. [This sc*mbag wants me to be bait?!] “You’re no longer a princess, Neoma de Moonasterio. From now on, you’ll live as Prince Nero de Moonasterio,” Emperor Nikolai said coldly while looking down at her with glowing red eyes. “Try to survive until your twin brother comes back to take his rightful place, understood?” Neoma was too shocked to react. [Are you f*cking kidding me, you sc*mbag?!] *** [ORIGINAL BOOK COVER. Artwork by sola_cola.] *** [EXCERPT 2] “I’m so sick of your tyrannical a*s,” Neoma yelled at her father aka the emperor. “I won’t forgive you for hurting Lewis and Tteokbokki!” “What will you do about it then?” Nikolai asked with a smirk. “Kill me?” “Yes! I’ll f*cking kill you, sc*mbag!” “Language,” he warned her, upset that his five-year-old daughter curses like a sailor. “Using vulgar words is unbecoming of the future Crown Prince.” “I’m a princess!” Upon yelling those words, the royal princess’s eye color changed from ash-gray to red. [This is getting serious.] “Stop it, Nero,” Nikolai told her sternly. “If you keep that up, the royal knights will come and–” “I’m not Nero!” Neoma screeched angrily. Then she jumped in the air with her left fist, ready to punch him. “In the name of the moon, I’ll punish you!” [What…?] And Princess Neoma, pretending as the Crown Prince for her sick twin brother, punched Emperor Nikolai, her father, in the face.

Hello, whoever is reading this review. If you're debating whether to check this story out or not, I say you should do it. It's fun, imaginative, mystical, full of great scenery, and a handful of subplots are developing that are woven in nicely. I'm going to attempt a bit of a breakdown of my personal opinion (but I've only read through the first 19 legit chapters + auxiliary once, so keep that in mind): I like the characters. They are diverse in their looks and personalities, which is always a good thing. None of them irritate me (there's a difference between a character who is supposed to have a few irritating moments and when a character is irritating fundamentally) , and none of them seem inhumanly perfect. Penelope and Jack especially piqued my interest in the beginning, but as the story went on I became more interested in Lila, the three R's, and our protagonist, Lia. I'll admit that in the beginning, I didn't get much out of the protagonist. I think there was just so much action going on that there wasn't much room left to make the POV feel personal. But as things progressed in the story, that changed, and she felt like a character (and a good one at that) and less like a mere narrator. It becomes more clear WHY she's the main character when you get to the middle of the story. The settings are great. Not only are they themselves beautiful (and great at reflecting the mood of the scenes that happen within them), but I think the author does a good job of describing them so it's possible to picture them in your head. The plot is overall good and paced pretty well. Things were a little bam-bam-bam (fast-paced) in the beginning and I sometimes found them hard to follow, but that issue quickly disappeared. I like how mysterious the main story is, with this new world that Lia is rediscovering, and the memories that are surfacing. But I also like the subplots (although the triangular tension between Lia, Jack, and Conall seems a tiny bit cliche - but hey, nothing wrong with that), and I like the way that the author gives each character their own time to shine in their own respective chapters while keeping the plot going. I also find the lack of chronological order fun. As long as the author maintains the clarity in the time-jumping, things shouldn't get confusing. The updates are stable and frequent so far, which is impressive. And the writing style is nice and easy to follow, but the words themselves are convoluted at times, which I think could be fixed with reviewing the punctuation. And remember that each time a new person speaks, you need to start a new paragraph. Overall, it's a worth space-consumer of WN. Readers, please give the author some feedback! Even the small things seem to go appreciated by her, and she wants your suggestions, good and bad. She takes criticism well. Anyhoo, I'll be coming back when there's more stuff to see. :) Keep up the good work.
