Sick .

Liana woke up and tried to get up. But her body was hot and felt too weak to even lift her head.

"Ugh, my body hurts " she cried.

"Don't move, you have a fever " a voice said next to her. She turned her vision to its source, it was Xavier.

His white hair was tied in a ponytail, dressed in black his golden eyes faced hers with worry in them. he was seated next to her on the bed.

A fever, she frowned all she remembered was being held by him last night.

"Prince the medicine is here " one of the maids came in holding a bowl on a tray.

He nodded and looked back at Liana."You need to take it to get better, mom's powers can't seem to heal you and neither do mine . So we resorted to this " he said taking the bowl.

She moved back, "The smell tells me it's not my type of taste so I will pass "

Xavier chuckled, "But it will, I thought your fever will go down by itself but it's getting worse. You need this to feel better," he said.

Liana gazed at the bowl in his hands and glared back at him. "You can have it instead but am not taking anything, just feed me some food am hungry "

He moved closer his hand slid down to her neck bringing her up to him.

"Take a small it will be enough to take effect then you will have some food," he said holding her neck.

He bought the bowl closer to her mouth but she moved back almost spilling the bowl's contents.

"Are you people serious, that medicine smells like it can kill me the moment I take it . Am sorry am grateful for your effort but am not taking that ". she pulled away laying back down.

Xavier sighed, he turned back and without thought took all the medicine in one gulp placing the bowl back on the tray he moved back to stunned Liana.

She watched as he bent down to her face, his one hand grabbed hers while the other held her face in place.

She could hear the maid gasp in surprise.

His lips sealed her, Liana froze but then started to struggle. Xavier's tongue pushed open her lips and soon the medicine was flowing into her mouth from his.

The bitterness of the medicine hit her taste buds and Liana fought to be set free from his hold but he didn't move away until she fully swallowed everything.

He sat up with a smirk on his face. Even in her weak state, Liana tried to slap him, but he caught her hand and gently placed it back down.

" Rest for now, later they will bring you some food," he said. Noticing her blushed face getting redder.

She felt weak after fighting him off her, turning away Liana closed her eyes.

She woke up to find the maid cleaning her body with a wet towel.

"Am sorry I woke you " she apologized.

"No it's okay, it's helping me feel better so please go on," she said.

The maid wiped her body and then left after helping her into another light dress.

"These dresses look expensive even for bed and they keep getting me new ones every time" she muttered.

The door opened and Xavier walked in with a maid behind him holding a tray. he walked to the bed and she moved back.

He scoffed, "It's not medicine but food, you seemed hungry when you first woke up," he said.

Liana turned back to see the tray with food a smile appeared on her face.

"I hope you enjoy it, the prince made it himself," the maid said passing the dishes to them.

Liana glanced at Xavier who motioned the maid to leave.

"You made these?" she asked.

He nodded, "But you were not supposed to know "

"Why did you bother, I thought you were busy with your father's work," she said

"You said the old me used to cook for you and since you seemed down I wanted to do this for you," he said.

"And your father?"

"Father's work can wait for your more important now " he muttered but then turned away.

She giggled taking a sip of the potato soup he had made.

"I love it, thank you," she said.

He moved the fork to neatly cut pieces of chicken passing them to her bowl, "have some, the maids in the kitchen said you love meat the most " he smiled.

She laughed remembering how they kept staring at her eat the night Gerald took her there.

"They must think am a glutton" she giggled.

"Not really they just think you have a good appetite," he said.

She continued eating while he kept adding meat to her plate.
