Levelling Up Cheats In The Apocalypse

In a world ravaged by a monster invasion fifty years ago, humanity clings to survival within walled cities while hunters venture outside to combat the threat. Among them is Zack, a young man who wanted to become a hunter despite his lack of awakened traits, a crucial aspect for hunters to harness their powers. For three years, Zack struggled in the hunter's academy, unable to awaken any traits, unlike his peers who swiftly manifest their powers and even join guilds. Despite the setbacks, Zack's determination remains unwavering until the very end. On the last day of school, when hope seems almost lost, Zack's dormant trait finally awakens: the cheater trait. With it comes the extraordinary power to learn cheat skills, a rare ability never seen and understood by anyone. Armed with his newfound power, Zack sets out on his journey as a hunter, determined to prove himself and protect what remains of humanity. Along the way, he will face not only the monstrous creatures that threaten their existence and others who envy and fear his power but also the challenges of mastering his unique abilities and discovering his place in a world forever changed by the invasion.

Chapter 40 - No MP Cost

Zack assumed that a war of attrition would be his best option since the enemy kept an spell of that level activated, but before that, he decided to try something else. He used Instantaneous Movement to appear behind the enemy while still invisible and then used Ice Cannon.

The spell only lasted two seconds, but soon covered the enemy in a thick layer of ice… but the ice soon cracked thanks to the lightning armor. The enemy turned around to face Zack, but he found nothing there.

"Electricity emits a lot of thermal energy… no wonder the ice didn't last sr all," Zack thought while he lowered his posture and began to hide behind a pile of rubble since Invisibility stopped working.

At the same time, Zack began to watch the underlings of that guy and noticed that they were pretty nervous. They looked like they weren't truly his loyal followers… killing them could help Zack reach level sixty and gain a new skill, but he decided not to do that. He disliked guild masters, and he didn't want to become worse than them.

In the end, the enemy canceled his lightning armor, but he still stayed in the area and kept his eyes open. Naturally, he wanted to save energy to kill Zack.

As Zack squared off against his adversary, he couldn't shake the feeling that this enemy was no stranger to confrontations with humans. The way he moved, the way he anticipated his every move—it all pointed to a level of experience that made Zack uneasy.

It made him wonder just how many people this enemy had faced under similar circumstances. In theory, seeking out and engaging with humans would be a risky strategy if compared to a monster, exposing him to potential harm. Yet, here he was, displaying a level of skill and confidence that suggested he had done this many times before.

Zack couldn't help but speculate on the reasons behind this behavior. Perhaps engaging with humans granted them a significant amount of experience, or maybe there was some other benefit that outweighed the risks.

Regardless of the reasons, Zack knew one thing for certain: he couldn't afford to underestimate this enemy. It was clear that he possessed a level of skill and cunning that demanded respect.

"He has no idea where I went, so he doesn't know where to look… my cooldowns are active, and I can only use two skills," Zack thought. "I shouldn't have used all of my skills without thinking."

The pain made Zack unable to think clearly, he was still in pain, but now he could use his head better. Zack took out the fur of the dire wolves and the anti blood knives as well. He threw them to the side while looking at the enemy and activated Auto Aim.

Weirdly enough, the pieces of fur and knives flew in an arc toward the enemy and some of them even went upward and then fell on an arc.

The enemy clicked his tongue while looking at that weird attack and then fired several lightning spears at them. The attacks stopped the projectile and made the pieces of fur burn before they could reach him. Thanks to that, smoke began to spread around the area.

The enemy began to retreat with his underlings using them as shields if he has to, they stayed pretty close to him, but then all of a sudden, his instincts warned him of something approaching insanely fast. He soon saw Zack approaching from the side ready to stab him with his sword.

In the last moment, the enemy activated his lightning armor and then fired the lightning spears at Zack… but soon Zack stopped and the sword approached insanely fast thanks to the effects of Speed Hack.

The weapon flew in a straight line toward the neck of the enemy ignoring the lightning spears that had no weight behind them and soon pierced the enemy neck. The lightning armor stopped the projectile before it could pierce the neck of the enemy and cause critical damage. However, soon his neck began to freeze and eventually, the cold passed through his head until it froze completely.
