Episode 2

Serene's Point of View

Days had gone by and all we did was chill inside the house, went shopping, or just walked around the city. It was both relaxing and fun as we both tried to do something new. We only have a day left before we both become busy again, he told me that they would be having a meeting with their boss tomorrow and he was hoping that it's going about their debut and all.

"How about you call your friends today? Let's have a small party and just have fun? But no alcohol! You have a meeting tomorrow." I immediately said to him.

He laughed at me, I was glaring at him. I know them too well, they are chaotic and would already suggest drinking a little bit with their meeting tomorrow early in the morning, they would probably regret it.

"I'm serious Chris, I know you and your group. You would regret it in the morning, I'm sure."

"Fine, Love. We won't. I promise."

"Good. Now, if you excuse me, I'll be preparing some food for tonight."

I left him by himself in the room and decided to cook some pasta, fried chicken, and mango graham for dessert.

"LOVE!!! THEY'RE ON THEIR WAY!"

"OKAY!" I yelled back.

I was still making the sauce and the chickens were still frying. The desserts are already in the freezer. It was okay though since they will go to the living room and play some games or sing a song that they had been practicing.

I heard a knock on the door and Chris running.

"Yow!!! S!E!R!E!N!E!!!!"

"It smells good Serene!"

"YAH! IS THAT PASTA?! AND FRIED CHICKEN?!!"

"FOOOOOODS????"

And just what I was expecting. The chaotic day will now begin.

"Hi, guys! Glad that all of you are available today, though this was unplanned." I greeted them

"This thing doesn't need to be planned. Once Chris wants us, we'll be there in a flash!" Lewis said. I nodded and smiled at them.

"Well the food isn't ready yet so why don't you guys chill for a bit in the living room."

They all agreed and went to the living room, minutes later I could already hear the video games playing, the laughter, and the sound of the guitar being played. Now, this is what I like.

Though there are times that I want a quiet environment, I still love it when everyone is here. Generally speaking, this isn't my house either, this is Chris'. He bought this small house since he was an immigrant from another country.

Glancing at the living room, I saw everyone having fun and all. The pasta and chickens are already cooked so I set up the table already, making sure everything is complete, putting the food and the juice that I prepared, before calling them.

"FOOD IS READY!" I yelled

I could hear them running. Laughing, I waited for them to pick their seats before going beside Chris. He kissed the top of my head while whispering the word thank you.

"WOW! PASTA AND CHICKEN!" Sam exclaimed

"Wow! Thank you for this, Serene! I'm sure these are all delicious." Lewis stated and I smiled in return.

"Let's all eat!" Chris exclaimed and everyone dug in.

Looking at everyone, I smiled. Chris' friends are also my friends, not because we were in the same circle or have a friend in common, but because I really don't have any friends. At my school, no one would really dare to approach me since everyone has their own world or group of friends, and since I was too shy to approach anyone while others thought of me as the weird-schoolmate-that-has-her-own-world.

"I swear, Serene's cooking skills are the best!" Peter exclaimed which I thanked in return.

Peter, was the first member that Chris asked to join his band. He was younger than Chris, was shy, and an introvert but when you really get to know him, he's the loudest and most hyper kid you'll meet.

"Can someone pass me a fried chicken, please," Sam asked which Felix gave to him.

Sam, the 'dramatic' one. I love him, really. He's the one I am close to. We both have these similarities with each other such as creativity. He paints to pass time while I read beside him. He's a sassy one and would definitely judge you on your outfit but he would be the first one to help you when you're in trouble.

Felix, the so-called-sunshine. He is, really. You would also see yourself smiling when he smiles, he would always ALWAYS makes everyone happy, he would bake you cookies and brownies. A hugger, that's what I like about him. He would already know if you're having a bad day or you're sad and in need of vitamin hugs.

"Yah! Chris! Sky just took my dessert!!!" John exclaimed turning to Chris with his sad eyes and a small pout. We both laughed while looking at Sam who was eating happily.

These 2 are the youngest among us. Sky and John are like twins and are the enemies. Yet we all know that everyone has a soft spot for John.

John, as the youngest of the team, is the one who would always give everyone strength and energy. Sam loves him because of his fashion sense, and the others would constantly tease him to see him pout. I personally, love his eyes. They are sparkling with whatever emotion he has. That's why I go soft with him and treat him like he's my own younger brother.

Sky, on the other hand, is the hyper kid who loves messing with everyone, especially John. Though he knows his own limitations, he still loves to see his older brothers being annoyed at him.

Both of them have great vocals too, that's why Chris picked them. He knew what they are capable of and he wants to explore a wide variety of genres with their voices.

"Yah! Sky, stop messing with John. There's still half of a tub there." Lewis exclaimed

Lewis, together with Peter and Chris are the composer and maker of their songs. These three met during Chris' first year on his trainee days, they both clicked with each other so they decided to team up. They started making songs a long time ago, tried selling them, producing them on their own, or even uploading them, yet only a few could appreciate what they make.

"Reine is being quiet again. Guess the food was really yummy that it made him speechless."

Laughing a little, I looked at Reine who rolled his eyes at Peter's remark and ate quietly.

Reine was the last one that Chris picked to be in his group. He's a dancer and a vocalist too. He shows his feelings in a different way that sometimes gets misinterpreted by the people around him. He cares, really. He is just having a hard time showing it.

They named their group "Haven" because according to Chris, his group members are his safe place. The one who provides comfort, safety, and solace to each other. They met when things seems to crumble down and found out that what their mixing is each other. They treat each other like a family and love each other like blood.

"That was a great meal, Serene, and as expected from a great cook like you. Thank you!" Peter exclaimed

"Thank you too, how about let's all have fun for the rest of the night," I suggested which everyone agreed on.

We all decided to have a game night and some movie date till everyone get tired. It was one of the best nights that we had, with games where they have silly missions, playing Uno where Felix was lost, and bundling up in the living room while watching some silly horror movies while we all try to scare each other.

It was a memory that I would certainly treasure forever. I'm glad I met them too, I would be devastated if I lost them. All of them are precious and I may not able to handle them if I were to be alone.

There are times that I would really question myself on how did I survive being alone in this country without anyone. Have I been that really independent that I forgot the feeling of having someone with me?

Meeting Chris in that lousy cafe was also worth it. To meet someone who would stand for me and tell me that I could also rely on someone especially when I'm tired is healing for me but I'm too worried for Chris. I always remind him that he could also rely on me and his members whenever his having some troubles. We are here for him as much as he is there for us.

Heaving a sigh, I snuggled closer to Chris as his arms tightened around me.

I love him and I love this family. I wish we could be like this always.
