Chapter 4: The Messenger 2

Zacks POV: Zack Devilinch "I'm a messenger from LACKRIAN Academy," she said. Blam', goes the door as I slammed it shut in her face". "You got the wrong guy," I said as I stood behind the door, waiting for her to leave. "I'm sure this is the location I was sent to, for you fit the description quite well, I suppose," she replied, twitching her eyebrow as she tried to suppress her temper.I opened the door again and asked, "What do you want with Zack anyway?" I said, looking at her in suspicion. "Why are you referring to yourself in the third person? she replied. I replied back, saying, "I didn't say I was Zack; can't a guy be curious?" "What are you?". I was interrupted by her response; she took the opportunity to walk directly into my fucking house without my permission.". She's hot, so I'll let it slide," I thought as I watched her walk around like she owned the place. Now she's in my room, sitting on my bed. "I don't even know your name, and yet you're somehow on my bed." I said as I lay down beside her, I know I just met her, but for some reason I feel like she's not here to kill me.". "You're one carefree spirit, aren't you?" she said, chuckling at my behavior. "Huh". "What's so funny?" I asked "Nothing," she replied. "I'm Sophia Grimlaw, and I am here to invite you to the academy I attend." Let me guess, Lackrian Academy." I said it in monotone. "So it told you," she asked. "Who are you calling it?" I replied. "The system," she answered. Immediately, I felt insulted; for some reason, it felt like she was being disrespectful. Steering her dead in the eyes, I replied. "Hey, her name is Celia; get it; never call or describe her as a thing again.". Zack's personality swiftly inverts from calm and carefree to dark and intimidating. "My apologies; Celia told you then." She replied with a look of surprise on her face. "You can calm down now; your aura is leaking out," but I must say that's quite impressive for someone who has just awakened. She pulls up a screen that is similar but not identical to Celia. It was an invitation: "My time is almost up, so let me briefly explain to you so that you don't have to ask. Accepting this invitation will enroll you in Lackrian Academy. You will have to complete a few tests that will determine your class. It's up to you to decide if you want to enroll, but I promise you won't regret it if you do. I hope I see you again. Please make the right choice." As she finishes her explanation, the furniture in my house starts shaking as a sparkler appears in the ceiling over her head, gently pulling her inside and closing. I couldn't do anything but grin as I thought about the path ahead if I clicked the enroll option on the screen. "Now I'm positive this is real, and I was right about others having abilities like me. All I need is to click the enroll option, and my new life begins. A life of action and adventure. I have already made up my mind. I won't waste this life like last time. I won't make the same mistakes that got me killed before either; I'll be conscientious, ruthless, and strategic about my actions. I'll become stronger than all, strong enough to need only myself. I reached out and touched the screen. "Congratulations! You are now enrolled in Lackrian Academy.". "I'll Become the Strongest.".
