When Steve discovers my presence he walks over picking up his phone.

   With my shoes in my hand, I rush to threaten him " If you call Aziel I will kill you "

    " Ok, ma'am" he hesitantly said throwing the key to me.

   In the car I turn on the engine to leave then I heard a hoarse voice " You're fired ".

   He opens the car door and pushes me to the passenger seat r.

   " You don't have a driver's license " he reminds me starting the car. 

   He is right, I never got my driver's license because I had numerous drivers to aid me.

   " You can't just fire Steve " I said coldly gaping over the window.

   " Why "

   " You can't "

     " I just did "

  " You are unfair to him " my reply is curtly as I face him. 

   " You are unfair to me " his voice is softer as he leans closer to strap my seat belt. 

    "How? When? " I'm totally in disagreement with what he said.  How and when was I unfair to him.

      He relaxes my chair vertically and lies over me.

   " We are in .. " he places his finger on my lips. 

   " Parking lot, do not bother the windows are tinted. " he interrupted me tracing his finger on my thigh. 

   " Not happening  " I try pushing him but he is too strong for me. He does not even bulge as if I am pushing the Eiffel Tower.

    He smiles showing his white and even teeth " Why do you do this to me? "

   " What do I do? " I questioned childishly.

   " You walk around looking all sexy and don't let me touch you. "

   The sour words fell in my stomach " Don't you dare change the topic. You left me home to see Daniella despite knowing my insecurities "

   His finger moved on my lip " You should not have any, you have me and she doesn't "

    " Yet she gets all your attention " I roll my eyes trying not to cry. 

  He laughs at my confession, making me feel stupid. " I only have one person in my heart and mind and it's you only. My most treasured pearl " 

   I can't lie but my heart flutters hearing him say that. However, I still need to put on a strong face.

   " You make me feel as if I am not good enough " Again, I advoid his eyes. 

   " I am so sorry " his voice is husky and hits my skin shattering my every sane thought. My body craves his and my lips yearn for his.

   Holding myself back from losing all my remaining self-respect " Why were you with her in the ring department of the mall. "

   He is licks his lips " To get you this " he adjusts my seat back to normal. But my body is still in shock at how close we were a moment back.

        In his left pocket on his suit jacket, he takes out a blue diamond ring with words engraved on it ' For my Pearl '. He slits the ring on my engagement finger. 

   " Tonight, I wanted to propose 💍 to you for a start over. To promise  not to ever hurt you and make amends for all the things I did in my rage in the past.  I wish we could start over starting from a second wedding, of your own accord this time and keep you safe. You would be the centre of my life and soon our future kids because I love you "

      My eyes water at his words. He said he loves and wants to protect me. His life would centre around me and our future kids. I did not realise I am already crying till he wipes my tears. Another voice chimes in ...
