Ch. 2 Chrisen's First Step

As you heard some of Daimon's Story will get right back to that soon but now it's time to hear some of Chrisen's story.

In the Slums of Zlanphis, there was a boy named Chrisen who was a peasant that roamed the streets.

He had bright red hair and dark blue eyes he also had a brown shirt and ripped jeans on.

His dad was just sentenced to 10 years in prison for stealing from a high-ranked noble. His mother died when he was six about eight years ago and now, he has to try and find a way to get money so he could eat for the day.

He lived in the capital's tenth layer the lowest you can go.

Chrisen was walking down the street when a wet flyer hit his face and got dirty water all over him, he took the flyer off his face and read what it said.

Wanna have a chance to live in the royal castle try your luck in a 0.01% chance of winning an event there can be any number of winners.

All you only need to do is go through a crimson red portal to win but if it doesn't except you.

You will be launched 15 feet in the air but don't worry we have a safe basket of wool and hay for you to land on safely.

Come visit the fourth layer on the capital Now! Anyone can participate, anyone peasant, commoner, or noble. btw we will take no responsibility if you get hurt so try at your own risk

Chrisen was surprised to see such a thing because he thought most nobles were scum.

Chrisen hurried and got his small bag made out of cat's fur and hay and ran for the third layer of the capital. Then he got tired and out of breath and then realized how far it was compared to the tenth layer. It would take chrisen forever to walk up to the tenth layer

Chrisen thought of an idea he saw carriages filled with hay guarded by guards come in the capital from the tenth layer to the fourth layer all the time.

He decided to wait for one to pass this street and jump in the hay when he got the chance.

So after almost two hours of waiting one was passing by Chrisen waited for the guards to turn their back.

Then Chrisen jumped in as soon as he saw them turn to speak with the Noble that was on the horse that was carrying the carriage full of hay, Christen didn't think it would make a lot of noise but sure was he wrong.

Bam!

Chrisen hit his head on the wood at the button of the hay in the carriage.

The man on the horse slowly had his horse come closer to Chrisen and then led out his hand to Chrisen.

At first, Chrisen was a little bit skeptical because he didn't know if this noble was trying to take him to turn him into a slave or have him executed but instead, he pulled Chrisen up as soon as Chrisen took his hand and had me go on the back of his horse.

After they were riding for a few minutes, he asked why I was trying to sneak into his carriage full of hay.

I was getting ready to jump off the horse in fear and made sure to look around to make sure I had a way to escape at all times.

The man said there's no need to worry were not trying to capture you. I'm guessing you need a ride up the capital that's why you tried to sneak in.

I nodded my head yes.

The man wasn't skinny or fat kinda normal wait but he was on the chubby side more he wore a blue tie with a black suit and black shoes he had black hair and black eyes his hair was well done.

"Where you perhaps trying to ride up to participate in the kingdoms event?"

Chrisen nodded his head yes.

The noble kept talking about how he had a daughter that got accepted into the crimson portal and how she was one of the best kids in the crimson portal winner's academy or CPW for short he said how he couldn't be prouder to know she goes to the new best academy in the Kingdom.

The ride was finally over and we were at the fourth layer. Chrisen saw the line for the crimson portal and Chrisen didn't expect it to be this big it was about twenty feet tall and thirtyish feet wide.

Chrisen said goodbye to the man that helped him and thanked him and asked his name and the noble said Argyros Shamen then he rides his horse away with his carriage.

I went and got in line and then I thought damn I didn't know some nobles were nice.

As Chrisen was daydreaming he didn't notice he was up next and one of the guards yelled

"NEXT!"

Chrisen walked up to the portal and slowly put his hand to where it would barely touch it.

Nothing happened usually it would say access denied and make you go flying over ten feet in the air away obviously the kingdom put wool and hay where they were going to land so they didn't get hurt. Since nothing was happening he slowly put his hand through the crimson portal then one of the guards yelled out.

"HURRY UP you're HOLDING UP THE LINE"

If the guard knew he could go through he wouldn't be speaking to him like that the boy slowly went in the portal till his entire body was in.

Some people and guards yelled that boy was able to go through the Crimson Portal, after I got in the portal I saw a white panel that seemed to be unrealistic it showed numerous things.

Chrisen was surprised to see a light blue rectangle panel show up in from of him in a white room he wondered how he was gonna get out but then another light blue panel showed up but it was a square that said.

Chrisen clicked No by accident then Chrisen was just sitting there in the white room it wasn't a small room it was like a 12x12 room there was nothing there all he did was sit there for hours then the panel showed up again.

Chrisen clicked Yes scared he would be trapped in the room for even longer going crazy. Chrisen blinked and randomly found himself in a forest and there was a rusty old copper sword on the ground a bow with arrows and a few glowing potions. Chrisen put the glowing potions in his pouch put the arrows and bow on his back picked up the sword and started creeping around the forest.
