The economic and military aspects of the safe zone had begun to stabilize. There was far less hunger and displacement at these places, and the rate of fallen bases—at least in this area—had dipped.
Meanwhile, the scientific aspect had also taken a few steps forward.
One was studying the output of Khalifa's space.
Fresh fruits and vegetables during the apocalypse were already very rare. A lot of them sold for a high amount of crystals.
During the first few months, the plants from Khalifa's space were exclusive to the island.
They discovered that they grew really well—much faster and much healthier than normal. They were also much more delicious.
The farmers and a few visitors (i.e. soldiers from Kylo's team etc.) often asked where they got such seeds and they just said they were special experimental seeds and said some vague scientific terms that killed the others' curiosities.
